Pros: brilliant story telling!
Cons: none
Review:
A largely forgotten book that is a combination of excellent writing and wild adventure. A riveting story of the beginnings of commercial and military long distance flight, an era when pilots only had rudimentary flight aids and had to survive on their skill, bravery and luck. Great story for those of us that grew up with radar (that worked), GPS, and dependable airplanes.

Cons: None.
Review:
Gann's books are classics. Evocative of both the risks and romance of the early years of commercial aviation in the US. Read all of his books 50 years ago when I first started flying, and purchased this book for my son, who is just finishing his 1 year with Delta. Every pilot should read these.
