Pros: None; poorly setup to help a students understanding of IFR holds.
Cons: Not intuitively clear how to use this instrument, not enough examples provided to expand ones knowledge to using this instrument in the cocpit.
Review:
My conceptual understanding came through drawing holds on a whiteboard. This device has very poor instructions and I got very little improvement in my understanding of holding pattern entry. My CFI fumbled with it briefly signifying it really is not intuitive even to an experienced aviator. Not recommended at all for someone new or old to IFR training.
