Adequate But....

  • By A Customer from Smithfield UT USA on Monday, August 06, 2012
  • Pros: Price - general quality of the set
  • Cons: Poor cushions
  • Review: The headset audio works well enough in the aircraft. The rubber cushions have a bad habit of falling off when you adjust the headset location - I have had to make several Civil Air Patrol flights with hard plastic against my temple -- not real comfortable. I am not sure what the deal is with that. I probably would not buy this model again - for now I am stuck with it.

When they work they are great

  • By Sky Cowboy from Sierra Vista AZ USA on Monday, August 10, 2020
  • Pros: Jointed flex mic boom, noise isolation, clear sound, comfortable, American, exchangeable cord
  • Cons: Faulty right out of the box, one speaker did not work. But even on only one side, could still clearly hear the air crew. Sent in for repair but 2 week turn around on repair, plus 4 days for shipping out and 4 more for shipping return.
  • Review: Was highly recommended by the veteran pilots. They are comfortable, have clear sound, good isolation of the ears from noise. The hybrid jointed / flex microphone boom gives excellent positioning of the microphone. I am the aerial photographer, and the ability to flip the mic boom to change the side the mic comes from away from the open window gets it out of the noise of the air stream. The microphone works good and we had clear reliable communication between the full air crew. I take pride in wearing an American made headset.

  • Review: The only difference is the dual ears which should be mandatory and the covering of the earpiece.  Also they get stuck, jammed up.
