Works as advertised, but...

- Cons: battery must be installed to use this cord. my previous radio did not require the battery to use the cigarette lighter cord.
- Review: This cord works in conjunction with the battery, I found that my preference in my little Experimental is to use an alternate product, an aftermarket battery eliminator that also uses a cigarette lighter cord, also. So, without the battery, I can flip the radio switch off on my panel and do not need to also turn the radio off on the radio. No risk inworks for charging the battery accidentally leaving the radio on and killing the battery.
