Locking clip/spring is too weak

- Review: Locking clip/spring is too weak to secure the battery to the radio. The battery won't stay attached to the radio on its own. I'm using a string rubber band around the base of the battery clip/spring and the radio to hold them together. Perhaps the clip/spring was damaged in shipment. The holds a charge and powers the radio just fine, but the rubber band looks pretty tacky and unprofessional.
