  • Review: The good: Smooth yoke action. Some electrical system and starter switches.
    The not so good: All the switches on the yoke handles are too large or ill-placed, or both. The Left set of (Trim) switches are so large one can not reach the pov switch with the thumb when left hand is properly placed on the yoke. One has to either use your right hand to reach over to the pov or release the yoke with the left hand and reposition it uncomfortably high on the handle. When doing so one is very likely to accidentally hit the insanely high button on the back of the yoke that is mapped to reset the view by default in msfs 2020. Utterly useless. To get around this I mapped the right lower rocker switch to do the left and right looks and just ignore the pov hat switch. Honestly even when grasping the yoke normally with the left hand the reset view switch is far too easily hit. I'm considering gluing it in place! Really the ONLY good thing about the yoke is it's smooth action in the push/pull axis. Otherwise, the Logitech Yoke has the Alpha beat.

yoke is fine, switch panel not so much

  • Review: The yoke gets 5 stars. The minor problem with the yoke is the pitch control. It takes a lot of effort to push the nose down. The main problem is the switch panel. It should have been momentary switches instead of toggle switches. You can't look at the position of the switches and tell whether it is on or off. Sometimes you have to flip the switch twice to get it to position you want. The master battery switch has a glitch. You can be flying along and battery power will go off. The button doesn't move, the power just goes off. To correct this problem I erased the data in the yoke input software. Now the switches(also did this for the master alternator)don't work and the problem is solved.

Disappointed but probably meets the price point.

  • Cons: unrealistic pitch resistance, handle connection loosening
  • Review: Surely this unit is better than those priced below it. There's essentially no detent, so that's good. The pitch resistance pressure is much higher than real life -- not sure why it was designed this way. Also, after using it for about eighty hours, the yoke handle on my unit is loose on the end of the shaft. Not sure how long it has left.

    This product came with a diagram showing how to connect the USB cables (in about 3 or 4 languages). There were NO instructions on the functionality of the buttons or switches. Internet searches only found a diagram showing a corresponding a number for each button.

    STILL don't know how to use all the features on this unit. Not a stranger to flying, have an instrument rating though I haven't flown in a while.
