Pros: Easy read. Flow is good.
Cons: None
Review:
The book is well written and specifically aimed at the wanna-be professional pilot transition to turbine engines, who has no previous training in this area. It has been helpful to me in understanding turbine basics, and everything that goes with flying bigger airplanes higher and faster. I would recommend this book.

Pros: Well-written and illustrated.
Cons: A little technical for us non-pilots.
Review:
I'm not a pilot, and I never will be. However, I am interested in aviation and what makes planes fly. To this end, this book is packed with info and very helpful illustrations, and I reread many parts more than once, due to the technicality of the subject matter. However, I now can identify the turbines and compressors of a two-spool turbine engine. Not that I ever expect to need that knowledge, but it's satisfying to me to be able to store it away in my 70-year-old mind and recall it at will.
