E-book was not what I expected
by Mark from SacramentoCAUSA

Pros: Printed book was as expected - nothing to go wrong there
Cons: Didn't care for the e-pub format e-book - not a problem if you want e-pub
Review: I purchased the printed book in addition to the e-book. The printed book is what was expected, so no problem there. The e-book came in e-pub format, which I didn't expect. This was my fault as I just didn't look closely enough to the description (which said it was e-pub format) but I wanted a PDF as I don't have any way to read e-pub format material.

I have tried downloading a couple different e-pub reader applications, but don't care for them and wish I could have just received a PDF.

Damn Goverment
by A Customer from Jerseyville IL USA

Pros: None
Cons: Many
Review: I am a private pilot. 19 yrs ish. The AIM/FAR as I recall was less than 600 pages then. Now 1000 plus pages. Our lair in chief should be REQUIRED to read and comply before boarding Air Force One again.

Paper and Electronic Copy in one!
by Philip from Lexington Park MD USA

Pros: Two for one!
Cons: Now there is no reason why I don't know all the regs!
Review: I ordered a copy of the 2014 FAR/AIM Book for an Instrument Ground School and was surprised that it included the electronic edition. The paper edition is convenient in that I can highlight and put tabs on all sections that I expect will be covered on the Instrument Knowledge Exam. The electronic version is convenient for allowing me to have an easily accessible copy that I can search and copy on my laptop.

Exactly what I needed.
by CFI/CFII from Georgia USA

Pros: 2014 Version. Includes electronic version.
Cons: None
Review: This is the standard FAR/AIM, but as a flight instructor, I update my publications periodically. What really drew me to purchase this was the included electronic version. Now I have access on my iPhone and iPad without having to carry the book with me.

Because 2 copies must be better than 1
by A Customer from Franklin TN USA

Pros: 2 copies at 1 price, carry your tablet rather than the brick
Cons: none really, if you plan to keep up with FAR/AIM anyway
Review: The FAR/AIM "is what it is". I can't imagine anyone enjoys reading it, but we all need to keep up with it.
That being said, I liked the option to get the printed copy bundled with the epub edition.
Now I can keep the info handy on my tablet without lugging the printed copy around for those moments when I need to look something up.
I can keep the printed copy in the Oval Office for those other "reading opportunities".

The Essentail Sleep Aid

Excellent. The paper and e-version bundle was very useful.
by Paul from Hilo HI USA

Pros: e-version very useful additon
Cons: some e-version pages partially cut off to the right
Review: The paper version was the usual high quality that I have come to expect over the years. The e-version was an added bonus. One problem with the e-version was that some of the pages were not completely captured to the right in the PDF files.

A must for every pilot
by Brian from Humboldt IA USA

Pros: Vast amount of information in one package.
Cons: Vast amount of info. Sometime it takes some hunting. Add tabs for quick reference.
Review: I wish I would have bought this when I got my private. Great to answer questions instead of relying on hanger talk. It would be nice it had tabs for frequently referenced sections such as Abbreviations/Acronyms -- I added my own. A couple of the pages did not fold and bind properly and were partly unusable...I just looked the info up elsewhere.

Good book, but not in new condition
by A Customer from Creve Coeur MO USA

Pros: Excellent customer service
Cons: Product shipping and quality substandard
Review: The book is as expected - the FAR/AIM.

When I ordered the book, the first time it arrived, the shipping box was empty and torn apart - someone must have really wanted my FAR/AIM. Mypilotstore promptly reshipped another FAR/AIM. Downside the second time is that the book came worn. It wasn't anything more than an cosmetic problem, so I just kept it. Not sure what happened there. These issues may not be directly mypilotstore's fault, I am just commenting on the experience.

Exactly what you expect
by Zacchari from Florida USA

Pros: Font, Quality, Cover, Price
Cons: FAA, FAR
Review: ASA does a great job taking perhaps the most boring publication in all of aviation and making it readable. I like the font, page quality, and those cool covers they design every year. Plus the price is right. Now to actually do the reading...

Does what it promises
by Dreaded from Shoreline WA USA

Pros: Comprehensive current reference for virtually all (federal) regulatory information for pilots.
Cons: It's more than 1000 pages long, but what do you expect for a comprehensive reference for aviation regulations.
Review: This is a comprehensive reference for CFR 14 & 49, plus some additional materials (previous known as the Federal Aviation Regulations and Airman's Information Manual). If you are a pilot, and the regulatory information is not in this reference, you almost certainly don't need it.

Couldn't put it down! Awesome book for the whole family!
by Mark from Woodstock GA USA

Pros: It's all there for the looking.
Cons: It could effect your weight and balance.
Review: I was totally blown away by the 2013 FAR/AIM! It's a thrilling read cover to cover. I dazzled over 61.57 and was absolutely enthralled with the exciting descriptions found in 91.155. My heart was so full of joy after reading 2-1-x and 2-2-x in thier entirety. Then, just when things were looking bright, I was deeply saddened to learn of the bad times expressed in 7-1-28. But, after viewing figure 5-1-1 and reading 4-1-13, my spirit soared once again.
