I would buy this product again.

Pros: Fits well. Works great!
Review: Does exactly what it's supposed to do. So far, I have only used this on the bench for ground-based operations. I have it plugged into a receptacle that I have wired to a 12v battery. Works great. Good quality. I expect it will work as well when I install it in my aircraft.

You gotta have a charger...

Review: The Spirit handheld runs out of juice so seldom that you sometimes forget to charge it before the flight - so having a charger along in the plane (or on the car) is real useful.

We only deal in Vertex Aviation Transceivers so we are not familiar with the VX7R, however, according to this page on the Vertex website this adaptor (E-DC-5B) is compatible with the VX7R.
