30 and 60 second intervals. The reduced-distortion aspherical lens combines with
user-selectable 1080p Ultra-wide, Medium and Narrow field-of-views to deliver
more perspective-capture options than are available on the White Edition camera.
The totally updated flat-lens waterproof housing delivers stunning image

White. Silver. Black Editions? As you shop for your GoPro HERO3 you will find that there are three different editions available; the White, Silver, and Black. From the outside they look identical except for the number 3 on the front of the camera. The White Edition will have a white 3. The Silver Edition will have a silver 3. The Black Edition will have, you guessed it, a black 3. So, which one do you need? For most people, the answer is the Silver Edition (this one). The key differences between the Silver and White Editions are photo resolution and Protune compatibility (higher quality throughout your post-production workflow). The Silver Edition offers 11MP still image capture while the White Edition offers 5MP still image capture. Additionally, the Silver Edition offers compatibility with Protune as well as control over white balance. The White Edition does not offer Ultra Wide Field of View Recording in 1080p. The GoPro HERO3 Black Edition gives you support for 4kp video and 1440p video, slightly higher quality photos (12 MP versus 11 MP) and a faster still photo burst rate of 30 fps compared to 10 fps with the white edition. The HERO3 Black Edition also includes the GoPro WiFi Remote Control. If you need the WiFi Remote, it's probably worth spending the extra money on the HERO3 Black Edition. If you don't need the dedicated remote, you can still use the free GoPro App with the Silver, White, or Black edition which gives you the same functionality.
