The Genesis X iPad kneeboard & case has been made to fit Apple iPads 1, 2, 3, and 4th generation.  The unique design is flexible, yet firm.

The main frame is made of tough ABS plastic and the corners are made of Polyurethane. The mounting frame corners help protect your iPad corners and the polyurethane lift points keep your iPad lifted off of the mounting frame, minimizing potential scratch and heating issues (very important for the iPad3/New iPad). The frame is contoured around the rear camera and the front camera is completely unobstructed to allow access for Facetime, photos or video.

When not flying, the Genesis X iPad case converts into an iPad stand with unlimited angle adjustments in either portrait or landscape modes for viewing. Access to the sync port is even available without removing or opening the case!

The Sky High Gear Genesis X iPad Features:

  • Fold-over cover to fully protect your iPad screen
  • Easily adjusted to any angle
  • Wide, adjustable leg strap for comfort in Kneeboard mode
  • Compatible with the Genesis add-on clipboard
  • Strap to headrest for video viewing
  • Made with high-quality Ballistic Nylon for excellent durability
  • Lined with ‘Brushed-Suede’ Microfiber and Tough Grip for durability and functionality
  • 1 year warranty
  • Fits full size iPad 1, 2, 3, and 4th generation (will not work with iPad Air or iPad Mini).

Disapointing

  • By Gary from Peachtree City on Thursday, January 02, 2014
  • Pros: well constructed, durable
  • Review: I looked everywhere for the perfect iPad kneeboard and thought this one would fit the bill. One of the main features I was looking for was viewing angle adjustment. The product description says "Easily adjusted to any angle" this was more than a little misleading. The fact is that this doesn't apply to use as a kneeboard. The video says it can be used at multiple angles on your desk but there is no mechanism to "lock" it into a particular angle, if the angle is too shallow it slips flat on its own. There is no means at all by which to adjust the angle on your knee. There is a velcro strip but it doesn't seem to serve any purpose. In the video the velcro side is folded over to be against the leg. I should have paid more attention to the video.

If you only need a flat kneeboard then this one should work for you, if you need to adjust the angle keep looking for a different product.

Good but not Great

  • By High Expectations from Cave Creek AZ USA on Tuesday, April 30, 2013
  • Pros: The rotating function is nice. The notebook looks good.
  • Review: Of course, they say it can do aaaallll these things. Maybe it can, but you have to figure out for yourself how to do them. You can stare at the photo on the box, or on the online ad, or on their website, but you still won't figure out how to make it tilt (to avoid glare) while being used on your knee during flight. I guess it is too expensive for them to simply include some clear directions as to how it works. The fact is, I don't think it can tilt while being used as a kneeboard. Sure, it's pretty obvious in most ways, but some things are downright frustrating.

Great Knee Board!

  • By Stephen from Manassas VA USA on Thursday, January 24, 2013
  • Pros: Rotating Platter for the iPad is great!
  • Review: This is an excellent iPad Kneeboard! My only complaint is the strap is a little tight around the thigh (I'm average). If you have a fat thigh, forget about it! You might lose a leg.

I love the rotating Platter for the iPad. It comes handy constantly. I also believe the corner latches are strong enough to keep the iPad secure in even in heavy chop.

Great Product

  • By Mark from Gothenburg NE USA on Wednesday, January 23, 2013
  • Pros: Easy and simple to use.
  • Review: It works great for what I use it for. Have used it at home and flying nice to have on my lap and can rotate verticle or flat if I want.
