Pretty good buy overall
by neil from OR

Pros: Strength
Cons: Clamp
Review: Fairly satisfied with the product. Went above and beyond my expectation for $300 headset. Not a real fan of the clamp force on the headset though. Excellent durability wise and construction is definitely strong. lasted me 4 years and still going. I am upgrading to a Zulu at this point in time but fairly awesome buy none the less.

Great Product!
by Andrew from Omaha, NE

Pros: Look good, light weight, durable
Cons: Nothing
Review: I was reluctant to buy this product because it was relatively low in price, and I was not so sure about the "low weight" it advertised. But I wanted to save money, so bought these instead of a high priced one. I will tell you, these are very light and very comfortable. They are well worth the money spent. I have used rental David Clarks , and they were not very comfortable (probally because of their heavy use), but these are amazing! Once I put them on my head I almost forget I am wearing them. I would recomend these to anyone wanting to buy a headset with a limited budget, or just anyone who wants a great headset.

Cons: no cons
Review: Works just like it is described.  I would recommened this to anyone.

Outstanding headset for a great price!
by Jeff from Concord, NC, USA

Pros: Fair price, high quality construction and microphone
Cons: No electronic noise reduction, but I was not in the market for that either.
Review: As a new pilot, I needed an economical headset that would last for years. The H10-13.4 fits the bill perfectly! The noise reduction is fabulous and sound quality of the microphone and earphones are top notch. All of this at a price that is very competitive and highly recommended for any new student pilot. The microphone boom, flexible yet sturdy, stays right where I need it and has no bolts, screws or other hardware that will loosen over time.

Nice Headset
by A Customer from Birmingham AL USA

Pros: Comfortable, keeps out engine noise.
Cons: They can't help you obtain your license any faster.
Review: The reason I gave this product 5 Stars is because I have never tried a different headset. This is the first time I have purchased a Pilot headset, so as far as I know, it doesn't get any better. Roll Tide!

Great product
by A Customer from West Lafayette, IN

Pros: Fits well, easily adjustable (size and mic position), good sound quality
Cons: Mic is a little sensitive (pics up plane noise sometimes)
Review: My first headset and I have definitely been impressed so far! Seems like a great way to start, especially for student pilots. It came highly recommended to me by colleagues and other pilots, so I will pass that recommendation along as well.

by Christo Botha from Pretoria, South Africa

Pros: Quality, Clarity, Weight and Value for Money - 100%!
Cons: None I can think of!
Review: Absolutely met my expectations! I fly in semi-open cockpit conditions and the sound and clarity is amazing. Its lightweight and fits snug on my head and I hardly notice its there. The overall finish and quality is just what I expected. In my book David Clark IS the Rolls Royce of headsets. Thank you for an awesome product

Excellent
by John from Brooklyn, NY

Pros: Comfortable and quiet, great mic
Cons: none
Review: Before I purchased this headset, I would borrow a pair from my flight school for every lesson. I therefore thought every headset was uncomfortable with a lousy mic. Boy was I wrong! The headset is fantastic. It's comfortable, quiet and mic works great. You can't go wrong.

by A Customer from Waterville VT USA

amazing headset. would definetly recommend it!
by Ryan from southeastern NH, USA

Pros: great mic, great sound quality, VERY LIGHT AND COMFORTABLE
Cons: It would be nice turn the volume up one more notch, but only in an open aircraft; enclose I'm sure it's perfectly fine.
Review: This is my first headset, and glad it is! All of the pilots at my airport were surprised at my quality purchase. A few of them were even asking about it, to buy it for themselves. Even my instructor with about 25,000 hours was impressed by the headset. The mic works great, it captures very precisely. I can lean slightly out of the open door of my Cub and it will still not pick up the wind. The headset itself is extremely light. I barely know it's on my head at all. Assisting that "not there" feeling is the sound quality. I fly in a Piper Cub with the door open, and it almost sounds like I'm on the ground talking face to face with my instructor. One thing I wish you could do though is turn the volume up just a little bit more. I'm sure it is fine for an enclose aircraft, but for me in the Cub, that prop can kind of wash out sound a little, even with the tight fitting, noise canceling gel ear pads. Overall, the quality of this headset is absolutely amazing. I would recommend it to all pilots, whether student, commercial, or anything. I think anybody will love the H10-13.4.

Great Headset for ANYONE!
by Eric S. from Northeast Kansas

Cons: It only has one volume adjustment nob, but that doesn't affect it much.
Review: This headset met all my expectations! It is light-weight, durable and comfortable. It also does a great job of getting rid of most excess noise. This headset also comes with a pair of extremely comfortable gel ear-pads which are GREAT, and a microphone cover which does a great job of protecting the microphone and picking up only what is said by the pilot and no extra noise! The adjustable microphone cord is also exceptionally well made and sturdy, once it's put in place it doesn't move. Overall, this is a great headset and a great buy!

It's a David Clark
by Bob Flies from Maricopa County AZ USA

Pros: It is the standard to compare headsets and does not disappoint
Cons: No Db rating to compare
Review: It is for my wife. After the cheaper brand she is very happy. The muffs are soft; it is relatively light weight; the mike positions excellently. What else can I say: it is a David Clark.

Quality and Price Balance
by David from Middleton WI USA

Pros: Durability
Review: If you are purchasing your first headset as a student or new Pilot this will get the job done with quality and durability. Perhaps later on in your flying (like me) you will need to upgrade, this set will then be the perfect backup set for a passenger etc...

Excellent Value
by "Shoes" from Atlanta, GA

Review: Simply the best headset in this price range. I have never had a problem with this headset. I am a CFI and this headset is standard issue to all our new students. We tried to "go cheap" with another set for a while and came back to this set.

Tuesday, November 27, 2007
Love the headset. Would highly recommend them.
by Lynda from Port Charlotte FL USA

Review: Comfortable fit and sound quality excellent.

Great headset
by Stacey from Manhattan KS USA

Pros: Lightweight
Cons: A little too big for my small head
Review: These headsets are really awesome. They are lightweight and of course, easy to use. The only problem I have had with them is that they are a little too big. I have a very small head and they are a little too big to stay on nice and snug. Otherwise, I could not ask for more out of the headset. The mic is awesome and stays in place nicely.

Simple, inexpencive, quality
by Nicholas from Mounds View MN USA

Pros: Lightweight, comfortable, quiet and clear operation
Cons: plastic cord/clothing holder chincy.
Review: Perfect for almost anybody. Gel filled ear cushions work great for short or long flights. My flight instructor put them on and said that they worked almost as well as his ANR ones that he uses. I would reccomend this product to anybody that will fit into them.

Excellent value
by Tom from Clark NJ USA

Review: Light weight headset and excellent quality for the price. Effectively cuts out cockpit noise, while headset sound reception is clear, from a person who wears a hearing aid when not flying.

Great Stuff
by Esteban from Miami, FL

Review: The Headsets in general are great in all aspects!!! The only thing I dislike about it, is when you leave the headsets on the dashboard of the airplane for a little bit, while you finish doing x stuff, they get hot pretty quick. When you try to put them on you have to take them off and let it cool for a sec!!!

Friday, April 06, 2007
by A Customer from Douglas AZ
Pros: Comfortable
Cons: None
Review: What a awesome set of heatset. I'm a student pilot, and I love the comfort they provide. Not too expensive for the the first pair!

Wednesday, March 14, 2007
by A Customer from Holland, MI
Pros: easy on & off
Review: It performs as advertised. Very comfortable.

Monday, March 05, 2007
by from Fountain Valley, CA
Pros: Dave Clark support
Cons: See above: single headset volume
Review: I've always liked Dave Clark products, and have had good service from my previous DC headset. I thought I was getting exactly the same headset, but this one was slightly different. The only thing I do not like about this one is that it has only a single volume control, not individual controls for each ear piece. It's still good quality, and is a very good passive attenuation headset.

Tuesday, February 20, 2007
by Max from Dallas, Texas
Pros: confort
Cons: n/a
Review: This product met my expectations and then some... Confortable reliable and light. Well worth the money.

Tuesday, February 06, 2007
by from East Coast
Pros: Comfortable
Review: Headset definitely met my expectations for comfort. Compared to my old clunker, this one is a joy and eliminates the pinching pressure wounds of a poorly fitting set. Note: using an ICOM A22 handheld w/the headset adapter, you may get bad feedback (with or w/o the PTT switch). Mic signal seems to feed back to the antenna. Hold adapter near antenna, and feedback disappears. Not a 'handheld + headset mic's are both on' thing. Seems to be a signal/antenna issue. Try a different adapter, or different handheld.

by A Customer from Shenandoah Valley VA
Review: Soft , no more headaches from a hard band. Clear.

A:

The stereo headsets are the exact same as the mono version in most cases. For communication within the cockpit or to ATC (Air Traffic Control) there is no difference at all.

Is this the stereo version? If not do you sell the stereo version?
A:

The stereo version of this headset is available as the H10-13S.
