Jeppesen VFR+GPS Charts page.
The new Jeppesen VFR+GPS Charts for North America offer a fresh perspective
on what a VFR chart should be with better use of color and contrast, coverage
areas based on where you fly, and intuitive symbols for easier interpretation.
Jeppesen used Space Shuttle radar data to accurately depict terrain in a way
that has never been done for a VFR chart. Best of all, the Jeppesen VFR+GPS
charts are easier to use in the cockpit or at the kitchen table, and they're
designed specifically to help you get more from your GPS.

Jepps give a different VFR perspective by Mike Marra, KEYSTONE FLIGHT from Carlisle PA USA
Pros: Easy to use with no flipping the chart or refolding in flight. Cons: Overall good colors, but some are too close, like the paved and unpaved fields. Review: Overall, the JEPPS give a good, readable perspective while flying VFR. I like the area layout as this one chart covers an area I'd normally require 3 charts for; the Harrisburg area. I like the colors - easy to read. However, it is almost impossible to discern the difference between turf and hard surface fields by the shade of blue strip on the carts. This would be nearly impossible at night. I also like the fact the entire chart is on ONE SIDE and not both, which makes it much easier to use in flight and during planning. Thanks - I use them regularly. Mike in Carlisle, PA

A "bright" idea. by Frederick D from Joppa MD USA
Pros: Clarity - easier to "read" and find key information. Cons: Does not cover the entire US (yet) Review: Has more clarity. Can distinguish between land and water much easier. Easier to find information...for example, you don't have to hunt for airport info. Have to get used to the orientation since it not alway N-S and E-W but as long as one is following the general route that it appears to be designed for, it may actually be better.
