Pretty but lacks detail

Review: This is a very colorful and easy to read chart but because it cover so large and area it lacks the detail I need for local VFR flights.

Too much hype and over priced

Review: I liked the idea of a trip kit type of VFR chart to Oshkosh so I thought I would try it. I was disappointed as it is very difficult to identify: 1 - non-towered airports at a glance. Sectionals show these as a magenta airport identifier. The Jeppesen VFR chart doesn't. 2 - VORs. They are not clearly identified. While I realize this is meant to be a VFR chart, many of us older flyers continue to use the VOR for VFR navigation. They are very hard to locate on these charts. In short, I would not buy another one.

Interesting map but an unknown for me.....

Pros: Visually appealing because its easier to read. Seems more durable and less prone to tearing.
Cons: Tougher to interpret because I learned on NACO. Only limited coverage. More costly.
Review: Need to fly with it a while to determine if its worth it.

Excellent presentation but too expensive

Cons: Price, small geographic area of each chart
Review: I was interested to see Jeppesen's attempt to improve on the tried-and-true sectional chart. They've come up with a useful new presentation. The graphics are perhaps easier to read, though decades of familiarity with sectionals have made them comfortable to use. The addition of GPS fixes to the new Jepp chart is definitely handy. But the new Jepp charts are more than twice as expensive as the NOS sectionals, and each covers a significantly smaller geographic area and, in the final analysis, they're not enough of an improvement to be worth well over twice the price.

Review: A big improvement over the NOS charts in terms of graphics, print quality, and paper. Different symbols, colors, etc., do require a bit of education, though.
