Excellent
by A Customer from CULVER CITY CA USA

Pros: Small footprint and packs a lot of stuff.
Cons: None so far.
Review: I like this bag because it packs a lot of stuff in a small footprint. Some bags have a much larger footprint and are too long to fit nicely in the plane because of it. The BrightLine has a nice pocket for the iPad as well.

Not just for pilots
by Bil from Alameda CA USA

Pros: Easy to carry. Fits a lot of stuff. Easy to stow.
Cons: The only thing I have to say is that I was surprised that it's not advertised for Flight Attendants as well.
Review: I work as a Flight Attendant and this bag is truly amazing. There is a pocket for everything. I no longer have to dig to find things. It fits on the stowage compartment on the 737-700 easily. The 737-300 compartment is smaller and I just unzip the two pieces and stow it. I can stow my manual, flashlight, alarm clock, mirror, two phones, with cords, tons of pens, and it goes on and on.

Guys like bags too
by Pete "no radio" Nardo from Palo Alto, CA

Pros: Well constructed, pockets for everything except the cat
Cons: Paid a bit more but got a quality product for it.
Review: More than enough room for all my aviation gear and some other things I don't have yet. Well designed and thought out. Usually I'm hunting for a pencil, this has a easy access pocket for them on the side. Sunglasses holder on the top is a good idea, room even for an iPad. Removable case will hold a PHAK, FAR/AIM, A/FD, and logbook. Even a pocket for my chewing gum.

Great gift idea
by Emil from Appleton WI USA

Pros: Keeps everything in one place, organized and ready for flight.
Cons: Did not find any yet...maybe some colors would make it more "sporty looking"
Review: As with all specialized items-all "specialty" pockets fit only the items they were designed for.
Overall excellent-and good gift idea for a pilot (in my case instead getting another tie for Christmas I got the bag which I requested from Santa).
For a recreational pilot it is well organized and keeps everything I need in one place (so I do not not forget-flying 40-50h/year-it is hard to have everything ready to go in minutes)
I definitely recommend it-although it is a bit pricey it is a neat "toy" and useful bag for a pilot.
Besides I like the good ideas-and you can tell the designer had lots of them!
Thank you for that.

A really nice bag.
by B.C. from Newport Beach CA USA

Pros: It's perfect for it's intended use.
Cons: Pricey. But if it's exactly what you need.........
Review: Pretty pricey for a gear bag, but the more I looked at the video, the more I decided that it's exactly what I need. I decided to give it a try, and I love it. It has a place for every piece of gear you'd normally use. No more digging "stuff" out from the bottom of a tote bad. It has so many pockets, compartments and zippers, you might forget where you put something, but at least it will be in it's dedicated space and not at the bottom of a makeshift bag. Sure, there are other less costly flight gear bags, but this one is tops. I haven't had it long enough to test it's durability, but it appears to be well built and built to take abuse (after 17,000 hrs and 30+ years of flying, I expect a lot from a flight bag). I'll be buying another one as a gift for a flying buddy of mine. Need a gift for a pilot who you think has everything? I'll bet he/she doesn't have a gear bag like this. You get what you pay for, and this bag is no exception.

Best bag I have ever seen.
by Skip from Houston TX USA

Pros: Excellent bag with lots of pockets.
Cons: Shoulder strap pad could be less slippery so it would stay on shoulder better.
Review: Had a client with one and after seeing it up close had to have one. Has pockets for everything I need for instructing. Shoulder strap is very handy.

This is more than a pilots bag
by Ron from Wichita KS USA

Pros: Organization, Organization, Organization!
Cons: I would like one that would hold my 16 inch laptop
Review: This bag has more uses than orginally designed for. For a pilots bag it is outstanding, but I find it very handy to carry my electronics gear, Ipad, GPS and all the cords for a driving trip.

Versatile and high quality
by Robert from Cambridge MA USA

Pros: Many pockets, strong and durable
Review: I just use this as a passenger on commercial flights. I don't use all the pockets for their intended purposes but that doesn't matter. The full bag fits easily under a seat, and the zip-apart feature helps in the X-ray line. iPad, books, an extra day's clothes, food, wallet/keys/passport, and a dozen other things all stayed out of each other's way for my entire trip from USA to Japan and back. Color-coded zippers were easy to learn.

by A Customer from Downers Grove IL USA

Review: Great flight bag. This flight bag is very well designed. There is a specific space for everything which keeps me organized - not an easy task. The bag is also flexible and allows for different configurations. I think there is even a 5th dimension hidden in one of the interior compartments.

Pockets!!!!
by Chip from Corpus Christi TX USA

Pros: Lots of pockets for organizing
Cons: Lots of pockets to search if you are not organized
Review: One of the best bags I have used. Very versatile, I am able to leave half of it behind when warranted. The pro of many pockets can be a con until you get organized and develop the habit of putting items back in the same pocket.

Compact Pilot Bag
by FM from Monterrey, MX

Pros: Compact, Well designed, Colored Zippers
Cons: None
Review: It's easy to tell when something is well designed. This bag was definitively designed by a pilot. I've tried the other pilot bags and they're bulky and complicated. This bag has a specific pouch for everything and color coded zippers. Why didn't someone think of that before!
This is what I carry:
-Smith & Wesson Flashlight
-Small fuel tester
-Leatherman Multi-tool
-Sporty's portable radio
-Sunglasses
-Ipad + knee strap + bad elf gps
-Bose A20
-Logbook, Passport, documents, etc

Best part is that I know where everything is while in flight.
I recommend the youtube video explaining what goes where, very useful.

<3 this!
by Lindsey from Beale AFB, CA. Norman, OK.

Pros: A place for every "thing"
Cons: No real fun design options-Some colored pipping edges even.
Review: I love love love this bag! I've used it for almost 3 years flying 3 times a week and could not fly without it! It's a must for students required to carry each and every piece of equipment and a major asset to the survival/accessorie junkie! There is a pocket for everything! The color coded zippers make it much easier to locate exactly what you need!

Works pretty well for me
by Dana from Buena Park CA USA

Pros: Places for everything
Cons: Smallest section not small enough
Review: I love places to put everything, but I would love a couple expandable pockets so I could add or subtract depending on length of the flight. Or a third zip off section for short training session, so I should go without having to carry around unnecessary items.

Quality, Versatility & Much More
by R.Palmer from Cairns QLD Australia

Pros: Durable quality, Well designed, Logical layout, Numerous features not found with other flight bags
Review: I am Currently studying CPL/ATPL and MECIR and was looking for a flight bag that would serve the many needs of the Student pilot and also serve me well further into my flying career. This brilliant flight bag has exceeded all of my expectations. It is rouged, well layed out, with many features that are lacking in more expensive bags. It has allowed me to remain organised and confident knowing that everything I require is with me and easily accessible. I know exactly where everything is thanks to the colour coded zip layout, it has ample room for the large bulky items like AIP and ERSA yet is so compact that space within the cockpit is not compromised.

Great flight bag, tons of storage
by A Customer from Waterloo, Ontario

Pros: tons of storage, pockets,
Cons: lots of zippers, no proper water bottle holder, shoulder strap not long enough
Review: I got this bag about a month ago, and couldn't be happier!  There is a ton of storage. I only have one headset at the moment, but I like the space for two. There are tons of pockets to store everything. I like the document compartment, lots of room for log book, maps, flight computer and POH.  Zippers are all different colors which makes it easy to reach into the back seat and retrieve something with ease just with a quick glance.

by Randy from Rogersville TN USA

Pros: Nice size and shape.
Cons: None so far
Review: No flight bag is perfect for all applications but this one comes close for my needs. I have had two previous flight bags, both "brand name" and the Brightline is definitely the best so far. I like the way it is layed out. It does not feel cumbersome and it stows nicely.

Excellent bag with lots of potential
by Brandon from Olney MD USA

Pros: Lives up to expectations
Cons: Difficutl to fit in the cabin with lots of passengers
Review: Few products live up to their marketing. The BrightLine Flight Bag is one of them.

The pockets are intuitive and easy to work with. I've always kept the bag together, but it's easy to separate and carry each piece individually. My Lightspeed headset fits well and I feel like it's protected; I could easily fit two headsets in the bag, just as promised.

I don't have much in the way of complaints about the bag; my biggest one is the handle is pretty rigid and is very long. It makes it hard to carry long distances over the ramp. The strap helps with this. Also, I've found it difficult to store the whole bag in the cabin when carrying four passengers; however, being able to separate the bag makes this better because I can fit the important pieces (the charts, etc) in the cabin and the unimportant ones in the baggage hold.

Review: Bag is very nice..except for the sharp plastic spikes on the bottom! They are sharp and can scar furniture or your leather seats. Design would be better with a smooth plastic pad on bottom. I took a hacksaw and cut them off and smoothed over with filler to make a pad. No need for sharp spikes there! Again, nice bag but would not buy again because of spikes.

fits soooooooo much!
by A Customer from Glendale Heights IL USA

Pros: fits everything together in a small bag
Cons: shoulder strap too short
Review: I put all my flying junk in this bag comfortably.  It's nice to have a small bag that doesn't take up the entire back seat, without sacrificing what I bring with me.  I just wish the shoulder strap was longer, I don't like the bag being at my nipples.

Excellent but maybe too bespoke?
by Andy from United Kingdom

Pros: Compact, spacious
Cons: Some wasted space due to bespoke pockets for certain items
Review: An excellent, compact bag and suprisingly spacious for its size. However, with so many bespoke pockets for certain items, if you don't have that specific item, you may end up with some wasted space.
Overall I'm very happy with the bag though, it's compact enough, despite having a little wasted space.
I have to add, the service from My Pilot Store was fantastic! I've purchased this over from the UK and the communication and speed of service and supply was second to none, thank you!

The best bag by far
by Chuck from Elk Grove CA

Pros: Well made, roomy, easy to organize.
Cons: The pockets for the headsets are just a tad snug for my two headsets. But definitely not a deal breaker.
Review: I met the inventor at a training seminar. He's a pilot and engineer and his demonstration sold me right there. The bag is well thought out, well made, versatile and roomy. It has a place for just about everything. No, it doesn't hold the cup style fuel tester. But since I don't use that style, it hasn't been a problem. I use it when I fly twice a week and it has been a blessing in disguise. I would, and have, recommended it to my instructor and other members of the flying club.

by John from Colorado springs CO USA

Pros: well made, well throught out, love the various compartments, love the color coded sippers, very high quality materials and build quality
Cons: no negatives with this bag
Review: Fully met my expectations. This bag can be configured by the pilot to provide everything needed in an orderly and well-laid out manner.  There are enough separate compartments to handle whatever is needed for flight.

this holds everything
by scott from glendale heights, il

Pros: Holds all your essentials
Cons: holds one style of fuel strainer
Review: I love how such a small bag holds all my stuff for XC travel. I was a little worried about it holding all my charts and books, but now that the iPad is FAA approved for flight, I can easily slip my ipad into the back pocket.

But the plane I fly uses a different style fuel strainer than Cessna's, so I cant put a full strainer in the pocket designated for the fuel strainer......I'm trying to think of what else i can put in it

by CassieS from Haines City FL USA

Pros: Great video description of the bag. You know exactly what you are getting.
Cons: None found as of yet.
Review: The bag was exactly what my husband was looking for and since I got it for him there have been at least 4 other pilots to get one from his company. I love being a trend setter!
The company was very helpful over the phone with placing the order for this and the fuel tester I purchased. It got to our home on time and the whole experience exceeded our expectations of MyPilotStore.com
Thanks again!

I would certainly buy this product again
by Paul from Greenwich CT USA

Pros: Plenty of room, easy to keep everything organized.
Cons: No room for my GATS fuel jar
Review: This bag has met my expectations. I am a student pilot and certainly have more "stuff" in my bag than I really need, but it fits it all easily.

The only limitation for me is that I use the GATS fuel jar for fuel checks and the jar does not fit in any of the exterior pockets, so I ended up buying a black nylon water bottle carrier and attaching it to the bag with a carabiner. Not the prettiest setup, but it works.

Quite Impressive
by Gary from Wallagrass ME USA

Pros: Well balanced modular design that holds everything in a very organized fashion.
Cons: The many compartments requires a very organized approach to storage. This is really not a con!
Review: I've been thru a lot of flight bags. Big bags, chart bags, modular bags, and more. This bag is impressive because it can swallow up more necessary equipment than the largest bag I ever used. What makes it awesome is that you don't have to dig for things when you need it now! I added two small plastic boxes in the bottom of the rear compartment for cables and it still ate up a Jeppesen approach plate binder. This bag actually works the way a pilot thinks. The color coded zippers makes for easy identification. This design is a winner!

Lots of zippers!
by Tom from Renton WA USA

Pros: Great bag, everything fits including 2 headsets and my big airport guide.
Cons: Easy to forget what pocket you put that little thing in.
Review: Very nice bag. I've been flying 20 years and figured it was a good 20th anniversary gift to myself. The bag is loaded with pockets and zippers. The video is helpful, although I'll have to watch again and read the .pdf document for proper loading of the bag. It has a handy 2 position handle also for the aft CG and weight and balance shift.
Almost need a full flight checkout and bag endorsement for this!

Much as Advertised
by John from Flying out of North Adams, MA

Pros: Well organized and everything is easy to locate quickly. Lots of room in a small package.
Cons: I'm a bit nervous about some of the stiching surrounding relatively lightweight zippers. Some of the stitching seems to be coming out, or missing already, on this brand new bag. So far they're holding on, though.
Review: Newly acquired and used only twice, so far. In general I followed most of example locations and the bag has filled out nicely with literally all of my gear in it... even my military style knee board, whiz wheel, 2 plotters, Bose A20 headset and Clark PTT switch, Surefire A2L, 6 batteries, 8 various pens and markers, fuel tester, camera, cell phone, numerous charts, several pads, and my log book.

Brilliant! - Brightline is an appropriate name!!!
by Terry from Houston TX USA

Pros: lightweight, organized, multi-use/mission oriented; Good Value
Cons: none
Review: I just started flying - recently took a trip to Hawaii and did some flying - I had it packed with my docs, iPad, two Lightspeed headsets and other miscellaneous odds and ends. It slipped neatly under the seat in front of me on the Commercial airline. then I had everything together when I checked out in the 172 in Maui.
The handle is comfortable; ability to split is really nice!
I am very selective (read picky) about quality and ease of use - this bas does it brilliantly.

Too specific...
by Dave from Boonies, MD

Pros: Tons of neat pockets
Cons: More useful choices are less expensive
Review: Learned a lesson from a cabinet maker...the more dedicated the storage space, the less you'll like it. This has tons of distinct pockets, but if you don't carry the thing the pocket was designed for, that pocket is useless. Don't carry a Mini-maglight? Unused pocket.

Isn't large enough anywhere to slide a clipboard for 8.5 X 11 paper for forms.

It has lots of pockets, but for many, if there's something in one, one or two others are unusable.

So far, one cute little color-coded zipper tab has fallen off within only a month or two.

grab and go no worries about forgetting anything
by A Customer from York PA USA

Pros: you will be proud to own it or give it as a gift
Review: This bag is so well thought out, it's large inside small out. I bought one for a friend and myself.  The demonstration video was so good and true to what your getting that my wife rehearsed it, as our friend open the gift rap she went into full demonstration as the video did zipping open pockets and attaching straps, we had so much fun showing our friends all the features.  The next day my friend emailed me and said he put all his stuff into the Brightline bag an had felt he was more organized then ever to fly.   "What a nice gift"

better than advertised
by maria from pembroke pines FL USA

Pros: Lots of space, gives you the option of smaller bag
Cons: price?
Review: I thought it was a great video when I watched it but I never thought I'd take the bag apart for flying VFR.

Was I wrong! Nothing is better than unzipping that bag on a beautiful day and just taking the bare minimums

Excellent product
by A Customer from PAYETTE ID USA

Pros: A pocket for every item.
Cons: Not as much room as appears in the advertisements
Review: I was given this bag as a Christmas gift. It had a pocket for every occasion but doesn't seem to have as much room as my old bag. Once I get used to all of the spaces, it may have as much room as my old standby.

Great Bag!
by Scott from McHenry IL USA

Pros: Lot's of pockets. Great organization.
Cons: None I've found.
Review: I've used the bag for 5 mos now and have not found a downside. It has plenty of pockets that you can use for almost anything you'd want to carry. I'm currently in IFR training and have room for everything needed. The colored zippers are a handy reminder of what is where in the bag. Though I don't use it, the zip apart feature is well thought out.

by Ken from Tyler TX USA

Pros: Specifically sized and shaped pockets with purpose.

First and last bag I'll ever need.
by Tim D. from Port Aransas TX USA

Review: As others have stated this is the most well thought out design on the market. It has convenient slots for everything you are likely to need on either a long or short flight. No more sliding piles of charts, pens or iPads. Everything is right where I put it, in a color-coded zippered slot. Great design!! I think I already said that.

Brightline Bag
by Asghar Shah from Tracy CA USA

Pros: all of the above
Cons: None
Review: This is a great product for a pilot dispite having a sporty's leather Bag which is very good, I decided to order a Brightline, I found it to be more useful and carry just about everything i need for my training plus more. The bag was well designed, it is just amazing what you can fit in this small bag. This is a second product that I have given a 5 stars, rarely does a product deserve a 5 rating but this on does.

Nice designed flight bag
by John: Piper archer pilot from Middletown NJ USA

Pros: Looks like a durable bag I haven't had it long
Cons: Takes time to remember where you put everything. Maybe you can attach labels (you can write what's in compartment on label, could be protected in clear plastic like they put on your luggage but smaller) to the zippers .
Review: The bag fit all of my equipment, Keys, Flashlights Pens and Pencils, Charts ( IFR and VFR ), approach plates, headset(s). Logbook, spare radio and much more. Takes a few uses to find where you put everything but well designed. Small and convenient.

Great Organizer. Almost Perfect.
by STEVE from LIBERTYVILLE IL USA

Pros: Great Organizer
Cons: Can not carry laptop.
Review: This bag has so many zippered compartments, anyone can easily organize all of their things, and get quick, easy access to just what you need, when you need it. I love this bag ! For non-pilots (like me), there is just one slight shortcoming. The bag is too small to carry any laptop computer except for the iPad. I find that I need to carry a separate bag for my 12" and 17" laptops, which defeats the all-in-one purpose of the Flight bag. I fully realize that the Pilot bag was not designed for non-pilot functionality, but if it were slightly larger it could be just the ticket for many people, not just pilots. Perhaps this may be a design enhancement for future models?

Awesome design with scope for more!
by AJAY RAMAKRISHNAN from SECUNDERABAD INDIA

Pros: Coloured zippers, specific purpose pockets, well thought of!
Cons: All pockets cannot be used simultaneously!
Review: Well designed, met most expectations and extremely professional in concept. A few extra cms of height would have permitted the carraige of an A4 size file for flight plan forms and such stuff. An expandable zip out compartment on the rear of the inner bag could enhance utility.

Review: Great Bag, fell in love with it within minutes of receiving it. It even fits my 13" macbook pro in the main compartment although I intend to get an IPad in the future.  I wish the flashlight holder sleeve was a bit bigger because my Smith and Wesson flashlight won't fit. it is pricey cost as much as my leather VFR Bag from Sporty's but this one does seem to fit my requirements better. MyPilotstore shopping online experience was also great!  They delivered the product with free shipping within 3 days of placing the order !

excellent full-featured bag
by Tom from North Hollywood CA USA

Review: Top quality construction and features throughout. Mine has the improved handle and zipper pulls, which by now should be the only ones shipping. I love having a perfectly shaped and sized pocket for each item. The dedicated external fuel tester pocket is genius! Conventional bags may hold as much or more measured in cubic feet, but finding things in that big central compartment most of them have is like looking through your kitchen junk drawer! Watch their video and you'll want one...,

Great flight bag
by A Customer from Portland OR USA

Review: Lots of space for all kinds of gizmos in a small package. The padded shoulder strap is great but if it had better "holding power" it would be less likely to slip off of your shoulder. A small minus for an absolutely great flight bag.

Great bag!
by Michael from Pace FL USA

Pros: Quality materials, organized, large capacity in a small footprint, 2 headsets!
Cons: All of the pockets were a little confusing at first. It took a while to remember where I put things.
Review: I replaced a much larger bag with this one. I was tired of lugging around a huge piece of luggage when I flew but wanted to have the space to carry a few key items (2 headsets, kneeboard, handheld radio, charts, etc). This bag, although small in footprint, allowed me to carry pretty much everything that I once crammed into a much larger bag but keeps everything neat and organized. I like the way I can divide the bag into a smaller bag when I am flying local and don't need all the extra junk. Best bag I've owned.

Love the bag - but be careful - - - it will scratch leather seats.
by Dave H. from Sedona, AZ

Pros: Zippered pocket for every need.
Cons: Hard rubber on bottom of bagscratches leather seats
Review: The bag itself as as other have reviewed. Lots of zippers, lots of pockets. First time in 10 years I can find everything quickly. Hated? My new G36 Bonanza now has a mark in the seat where the hard rubber, pointy feet, scratched the seat. These little points on bottom of bag will actually scrap small little chunks of leather out of your seat.

Very well made. Small in size yet organized.
by Robert from San Antonio TX USA

Pros: Smaller size yets holds everything needed in an organized way,
Cons: Can't remember which pocket I put things in. I'll learn.
Review: I love organization in the cockpit. The shape of this bag uses less space while holding everything my "long" bag held. I carry a lot of stuff. The zippers are color coded and pockets keep things organized and readily available. It's going to take some getting used to because it is so well organized and has so many compartments I can't remember were I put things.I may reorganize using the manufacturers example and then memorize the page. I would purchase again. I can see that in the future I won't have to dig in a bag looking for things I'll know exactly where things are and can get to them quickly.

It's Worth the Price
by Joe Lemma from Parker, Colorado

Pros: Holds almost anything you think you "might need".
Cons: Trying to remember just which pocket I put specific things in.
Review: This bag is pretty amazing. Obviously, after merely watching their demonstration video, they have invested a bunch of thought into this thing. There are some pockets I haven't figured out personal uses for, but they're there if I ever do. The compact size and balance makes this bag very usable for a single pilot in a Cherokee 180 cockpit. It holds its shape well, so is a good alternative to some of the hard-sided options that are out there.

Review: This is an excellent bag that I have owned since I became a pilot. Although a zipper tab fell off recently, the service at bright line is second to none and I received a replacement tab at no charge (I hear they fixed that in later versions). The bag has places for every piece of equipment you might need, however I have had issues keeping anything longer than 11.5 inches in the bag (mainly a ruler).  And although this bag is fantastic for organization in the cockpit, by no means will it be a one stop deal for students who need to carry multiple books or approach plates. The bag has managed to stand up to the extended wear and tear of being thrown around and looks like it can keep going for quite a while.

AWESOME BAG! Recomend to anyone!
by Tom from Battle Creek, MI

Pros: TONS of pockets for everything!! well designed for quick access
Cons: falls over when back pocket is open, could be how I have stuff loaded. Little Costly would love to see it for $99.99
Review: This bag was given to me as a gift earlier in July. Love the bag. It has a ton of pockets for everything you can think of and more. I'm a flight student working on my Instrument license and it carries my headset, charts, large logbook, kneeboard, ect. The other great feature is that it is two bags. Some training flights I need the room for everything but other solo flights or local flights i just need my headset, a chart or two, and a few other things which I always take flying. Love that the radio pocket expands for a large water bottle also. Very well made, great material, love the color coded zippers. Only "complaint" is that my plotter only fits on an angle in the bag, I know nothing big at all and not a deal breaker just something to point out. Overall great bag, only had it for a month but can tell it will last. I would say it is worth the money.

Great bag
by Jeff from Conroe TX USA

Pros: layout, can hold 2 bose headsets, great quality, color coded zipper pulls do stick in your head after a little use
Cons: took a few outings to get used to all of the storage pockets, once I lost my flight log but could feel it . . . pocket within a pocket to a second to find
Review: Great bag, well thought out design with lots of storage compartments . . . just don't have enough in the airplane use with other bags to give it 5 stars. It has more of a vertical profile than other shorter, wider bags. Works well between the first and second row of seats on an A-36 Bonanza, but you may find it occasionally on its side if its sitting in the middle of the cockpit floor.

by Mike from Upland CA USA

Pros: Great design, a place for everything.
Cons: None
Review: This is really a neat bag! Great design. I can get everything in that I used to carry in the much larger "standard" flight bag. It's compact and much easier to get in and out of the airplane. The special little pockets allow you to carry the smaller items and find them much easier. If you are flying a light sport, this bag fits in the airplane!

Excellent Bag made by an excellent company
by Sharon Tinkler from Tullahoma, TN

Pros: Organized, designed for a pilot, company stand behind product
Cons: there are none
Review: This bag is the complete answer to problem of storing flight items. Beyond that, however, the company stands behind it's product. I complained in a prior review that the ID card feature fell off. The company president read that review and emailed me requesting permission to send me a new bag!! How refreshing is that in our current business environment. So I bought 2 more for my daughter and her husband.

Slowly coming apart
by Sharon Tinkler from Tennessee

Pros: Great design
Cons: materials disintegrating and falling off the bag.
Review: What a shame that such a perfect design is falling apart. I keep it indoors - not in the sun. The first thing to go was the ID card window on top. It came apart around the edges and fell off. Now zipper pulls are falling off - not a good thing to find down in the rudder cables at the bottom of the plane. It excels in storage design so I will keep it but be cautious of the disintegration of the materials.

I would buy this product again
by Aldon from Brockway PA USA

Pros: lots of pockets to organize stuff,
Cons: Too easy to forget what is where, needs customizble and changeable labels.
Review: Been looking for a decent flight bag for years, bought others, I ended up using a cheapo freebe my wife got at a seminar because the size was right. The ideal bag needs to be able to be hoisted from the back seat to the front seat in flight!!!!!!!! This bag is the first one works for me. However it is hard to keep track of what is in what pocket, I am looking into fabric labels at this time. It takes a few tries to get gear in pocket you want to use.

Almost the best pilot bag
by Arpad from Hungary

Pros: clever design, compact size, durable
Review: I am absolutely satisfied with my BrightLine bags. I have tried many other bags before and there were much pitty but annoying things that prevented me from being satisfied. One thing I don't like: the shoulder strap and that kind of shoulder pad Bright Line has is not convenient for me. It should be a little bit longer. I have got some Maxpedition bags and their shoulder pads are really convenient for carrying them all days. They can be moved and removed so you can adjust them easily. However the bag is fantastic!! There is enough room for everything you need during a one-day flight but it has a compact size.

Fantastic. Solves all my needs for flight bag.
by Civil Air Patrol - Skip from Nashua NH USA

Pros: Complete and compact storage
Cons: Overkill for short VFR flights but can be divided into two smaller bags
Review: I have purchased at least four different flight bags over the years but this is by far the most compact and complete bag for my needs as an IFR pilot. It holds all my documents and "tools of the trade" like noise-cancelling headset, leatherman tool, flashlight, etc. in dedicated locations so I don't have to fish through a pile of "stuff" in a big bag (or multiple small bags).

Review: I have no complaints about this product.  So far I am using every pocket and it is full to the max.  Time will tell if it will hold up to its standards.  I do use it in a differant application that is more rugged than flying and it holds up to the abuse for what I use it for.  I will stay in touch if there is any problems with this bag.  If you are interested in more sales of this bag let me know and I can see if I can double your sales.

Great Bag, very unique, get lots of inquires about where I got it.
by A Customer from York PA USA

Pros: Compact, well organized
Cons: wish it was 1/3 bigger
Review: I am an airline pilot who was looking for a bag to carry all my extra junk now that once resided in my "brain bag" plus 3rd bag -- we are soon leaving all our pubs in the a/c doing away with the need to carry a chart case. Great bag, very organized, well thought out. As an FFDO with a Bose headset, those two items take much room. Fills up quick if you carry a few magazines and a book. Overall like it.

Love this bag
by IdahoMike from Idaho Falls ID USA

Pros: Bag has well designed locations for everything, worth watching their online video
Cons: It is only as organized as the person putting stuff away.
Review: I don't write product reviews often, but the Brightline bag is amazingly well designed.  Very easy to keep cockpit organized. Easy to find stuff you need while flying while also keeping a sterile cockpit environment.

Great Bag
by A Customer from Random Lake WI USA

Pros: Plenty of storage pockets
Cons: Some pockets are sized item specific
Review: I got this bag because it can split. I use the folio looking part for my IFR charts and equipment and then the smaller bag has the VFR items AND fits between the seats of my Cessna 172.

by MiamiAerialPhoto.com from Miami FL USA

Pros: Very cool design, lots of spaces for storing your things

Brilliant Bag
by A Customer from Honolulu HI USA

Pros: An organizational masterpiece (For Private Pilot, CFI, or Airline Pilot)
Cons: See Review
Review: Outstanding bag. I would like to see a "commercial pilot" version of this bag. The best design change would be getting rid of the fuel tester pocket and small flashlight pocket and replace with one large (C or D-Cell size) flashlight pocket. That would make this the perfect "part 135" pilot bag. Also would like it to be about 1" taller to accommodate my Macbook laptop. Other than that, this is the perfect flight bag.

A place for everything and everything in its place!
by A Customer from La Mesa CA USA

Pros: separate pockets for everything
Cons: remembering which pocket you put something. It takes a little time to adjust to a new system
Review: There is a space for almost anything you might carry along on your flight. Nothing is jumbled up with anything else. The compact size allows it fit easily behind the seat or anywhere else for that matter.

Where have you been all my life?
by Jacque from Lexington Park MD USA

Pros: Organiztion is optimum. I can find everything fast when I need it.
Cons: No provisions to buy an extra rear zippered compartment bag
Review: Where has this product been all my life? I can't believe how much stuff I can carry, and as an instructor, that's alot of student materials I can store. I can keep student file folders, FAA advisories, pamphlets, foggles, and on and on. I would love to be able to buy a spare zippered rear compartment so I could have one for instructing and one for business flying. I even had to buy a leatherman to put in it's pouch. Great product. Hope it never wears out!

Really great flight bag
by Suzytan from Victorville CA USA

Pros: Detachable bag, color coded zipper pulls and compact size
Review: This bag was a gift to a pilot friend. He flies locally daily and had been using a backpack!! When its handle broke, I decided to look for something professional and after much Internet searching I found BrightLine. He recently told me that this is a nifty bag. He carries everything in it, even his lunch. The neat thing is that the part that is totally detachable is what he uses for carrying his lunch. He doesn't detach it until lunchtime; that way he can leave everything in the plane and take only his lunch into the terminal.

Very practical
by A Customer from Arlington Heights, IL

Pros: Small, Compact, Creative
Cons: $120s a lot for a bag (but its worth it)
Review: This is actually the only flight bag I've seen. Every pocket has a purpose. Looking at other pilots bags at the airport it basically looks like a gym bag. One pocket on the end for the headphones and then you just throw everything in the middle. This bag provides me a very organized and practical way to store everything.

A Good Flight Bag
by A Customer from Irvine CA USA

Pros: Pocket availability for storage. Compact size.
Cons: IFR binder takes up most of space of larger pocket and is somewhat difficult to remove.

Cons: so many pockets that sometimes I lose stuff. I know its in there I just have to remember where I put it.

Three bags in one - with as many zippers
by A Customer from Oyster Bay NY USA

Pros: Everything needed in one organized package
Cons: Ask me this time next year
Review: Very well designed for the purpose. Very well constructed. Organizes and contains all the little stuff as well as the big in a minimal foot print. Big enough to carry my 12 inch Lenovo laptop. The only problem is remembering which zipper to pull to find that extra valve cap or piece of velcro.

Brightline Flight Bag
by Bob from Dallas TX USA

Pros: Perfect size
Review: Great bag. Has a pocket for everything. Most people that see it think I'm ready for a 2 month cross country. However it is not overly large. Probably just the right size for anyone going anywhere. Price is a little high. Should be in the $99 range I believe. I have seen lots of reviews on the zippers being bad. I have the new and improved bag and have not had any problems with the zippers as of yet. All in all, it's a great bag.

Pros: Amazing storage space!
Cons: A little pricey, but worth it if you fly frequently and like organization.
Review: Great flight bag! Great Pilot Bag!
by James from Albuquerque NM USA

Pros: Quality workmanship and compartments for almost everything a pilot needs in a compact size
Cons: None (other than observations made above)
Review:

Lots of space in a compact size. Met all my expectations. I recommend the company pay more attention to the shipping container (box). They should also put foam inserts into the bag compartments to prevent indentations or creases forming during storage and shipping. Although the creases I experienced were minor in detail (also expressed by other reviewers), the company should make an effort to improve this quality control issue. Overall, very satisfied with my purchase.
[Reply from MyPilotStore:  As of January 13, 2010 we have changed the shipping box for all Brightline bags to solve the problem identified]

very satisfied with this purchase
by Eric from Rochester MN USA

Pros: Read my review
Cons: Not a thing! This bag suits it's purpose perfectly.
Review: I don't have any other bags to compare this to first hand, but I did search long and hard for a good bag. I was looking for something that could hold two headsets, kneeboard, charts and misc. related items, handheld Sporty's radio, flashlight, AIM/FARS, Airport Directory, D-cell flashlight, E6B, batteries, the kitchen sink, blah blah blah. This bag holds absolutely everything I need as a private pilot, almost instrument pilot, working his way towards commercial, multi, and CFI. From my research I've found that the only thing that this bag doesn't have that I may want sometime in my career is a locking feature, a larger storage for airplane specific information, and maybe a nicer finish. Everything on this bag "works." It's all laid out logically and in my opinion where it should be. Build quality is excellent, from the strap to the handle to the rugged bottom. I can't make any promises, but I'm 99.9% sure you will be just as satisfied with this bag as I am.

NICE BAG
by TODD from HOFFMAN ESTATES IL USA

Pros: lots of pockets holds 2 sets of headphones
Cons: little high on price
Review: The bag fits my needs perfect. I like all the different pockets .. and the way its laid out. I can carry everything in 1 bag. The only thing I did not like is the price .. a little pricey. Would have been better if it was leather. Also a little tight were the headphones go. Other wise it works good.. and it has plenty of room for the chatrts (no folding needed ) :) .

Very Nice Bag
by G. Farkas from Temecula, Ca.

Pros: Alot of pockets and easy to remember where things are due to the size of pocket and colored zipper
Cons: Packaging crunched bag
Review: This bag is very good and easy to find everything with the colored zippers. The only problem I have is that when I received the bag it was all crunched up and I had to stuff it with paper to get it back into shape, but now when I seperate the bags the larger side will not stand up on its own. Other then that it is awesome. I look for stuff to carry because there are so many pockets. No regrets

As good as expected
by Jim from Plainfield IL USA

Pros: organization, size, effectiveness
Cons: "Free" space for unorganized items, like manuals
Review: As a student I sometimes have to carry a second bag for extra manuals and reference material, but for the necessities this bag is great. The pockets took a few flights to get used to, finding things, but now it is easy to grab items quickly. The zippers and material are fine, and unless I am doing ground and need extra reference material everything I have to have fits.

Extremely well thought out and designed product!
by Dennis from Oakton, VA USA

Pros: Capacity. Compactness fully loaded
Cons: Price(?) A weak con.
Review: The bag more than met my expectations. Extremely organized in a logical manner. Holds an enormous amount of varied gear without feeling bulky. Awesome bag!
by Paul from McKinney TX USA

Pros: zipper color code, use of space
Cons: Cost
Review: I have had every bag from the Jeppesen Navigator to the AOPA free bags to military bags. Nothing comes close to Brightline's bag. I know exactly where everything is and I can easily reach back grab the correct zipper and get what I need out of it. I can easily fit my large Jeppesen logbook and 2" binder with my approach plates as well as everything else I need whether it's a flight in the area or a cross country for a burger. In the video they mention how you can remove the back portion and that it has the same pockets but what they don't highlight is that you can use those pockets even when the two bags are zipped together. It's great for storing things such as blank nav logs, clear approach plate protectors, section chart or anything else you might need but don't have to have readily available.

New Version - Improved the Bag
by Ross Bishop from San Rafael, CA

Pros: Improved Zippers. Slightly large size. New features.
Cons: None that I can think of. :-)
Review: Hi Everyone. Ross Bishop, President of BrightLine Bags here. Just a note to let you know that we've listened and we're now shipping a new version of the bag that has lots of great improvements. First, we have significantly improved the zippers (they're smooth and rugged) and we created new injection-molded rigid zipper pulls. This is the most commented-on item, and we made this a priority. The bag is one inch taller, 5/8" wider, and 1/2" deeper to accommodate our rapidly-growing customer base overseas where they use the larger A4-sized paper. The bag is 12.5 inches tall inside now, so things that didn't fit before now do, like manilla folders, and even many laptops (but remember, it's not specifically design to be a laptop bag). We also completely redesigned the shoulder strap. No more sliding pad. Just a nice long fat fixed pad. And there are new content-trapping side panels on the two large exterior pockets on the front cover. Now things don't fall out if you open the pockets all the way. And above all, the overall quality, the stitching, and the fit and finish of the bag is even better. Our desire to contantly improve our bag really shows in this new version. We're really proud of it. You'll really enjoy it. And without a doubt, we thank you for all your great support. Cheers, RB

Nice bag but shipping box caused problems
by Danny from Plano TX USA

Pros: Place for most everything.
Cons: Poor packing caused damage.
Review: The bag is well constructed and has a place for most everything. My problems is that the box it was shipped in was too short but they crammed the bag into the box anyway, causing a permanent crease/fold in the backing material made into the bag. I assume the backing material was made into the bag to provide it some shape. Now the bag will not stand up on and continues to fall over. This is very anoying while flying when you need something and have to reposition the bag everytime your reach for something.

Small Wonder
by Curtis from Norman OK USA

Pros: Compact and Organized
Cons: No pocket for my laptop
Review: I frequently rent planes and must carry all my gear whereever I go. I had a large flight bag, but could never keep everything organized. This bag is wonderful! Not only is it half the size, but it neatly holds all the same gear from two headsets to a fuel tester to my logbook and maps. It even has a pocket for my phone so it won't get scrached. A great purchase that exceeded my expectations.

Best bag I expect to ever own!
by Nicksdvm from Palmerton PA USA

Pros: Organized, compact, lightweight, functional
Cons: So much storage there is a learning curve to remember where you put all your stuff!
Review: I used to lug around a "duffel" style bag - but when I realized that I could fit everything into this incredibly well thought out, brilliantly engineered and designed bag - I switched. The only two things I haven't managed to fit are my Gats jar and Jepps charts. This bag is compact, efficiently organized and light weight - the ultimate in functionality - I have to actually remember how I organized using the color code system so I can find stuff.

Boxy
by Dennis from Kansas City MO USA

Pros: Plenty of compartments
Cons: Boxy, Tipsy, like a bowling ball bag. One colored zipper tag has already broken in half.
Review: I do like it, just not as much as I thought I would. I wanted the many zipped compartments to eliminate searching through all my junk but now I find I'm searching through all my zippers. Because of its square shape it beats against my leg when carrying no matter how I orient it. A longer narrower shape would illiminate this problem.

This bag is awesome.
by A Customer from San Angelo TX USA

Pros: I love that it has the perfect place for sectionals, where they won't get torn up.
Cons: I wish it had an extra pocket for a water bottle. (It has one, but I use it for my handheld radio.) Not that big of a deal though.

Flexible Adaptable Flight Bag!!
by Jim Gaither from Fort Worth TX USA

Pros: Lots of pockets, color-coded zippers, zip-off back section and high quality
Cons: There aren't any!
Review: I have NOTHING negative to say about this bag. My equipment changes with each flight and I used to have three different bags to choose from for each mission. I replaced them all with this one! Being able to zip off the back section for a lighter load is the best feature of all. The color-coded zippers are a real plus, too. Every detail is well thought out (obviously designed by a pocket freak like me) and every aspect is pure quality. "Where'd you get that thing?" is a question I hear everywhere I go. It may well be the last flight bag I ever buy.

Pros: Carry everything needed in small bag, small space.
Cons: None
Review: Good quality bag, well built and more pockets and compartments than I've been able to use yet. Room for all the necessary stuff plus plenty of room left over, yet still compact. As a CFI, it's all the bag I need and more. Would definitely recommend this bag and would buy it again.

Room for everything you carry to the aircraft.
by Bill Brockhaus from Monroe, WA USA

Pros: A pocket for everything; GPS, camera, headset, kneeboard, phone, wallet, keys......
Cons: bulky when you get all the pockets filled
Review: I really like this bag because of the targeted pocket design. It seems to be designed for me, I quickly started to put items in dedicated pockets so they are easy to find and be sure nothing is left behind. I store my new Lightspeed Zulu headset in its case within this bag and still have room for lots more stuff. GPS, kneeboard, camera, wallet, Ipod, batteries, pens, charts (4 plus, flashlight, Leatherman, fuel tester, .....) IT ALL FITS!!!

Pros: great design
Cons: crappy zippers

Excellent Product
by AK Tom from Thousand Oaks CA USA

Pros: Excellent compartmentalization and organization. Designed for pilots - not just a glorified purse.
Cons: fuel tester pouch is a little over the top (great for renters)
Review: In 36 years of flying I've accumulated an assortment of flight bags, none of which I loved. Most flight bags seem to be designed like a woman's purse - just throw everything in, and dig thru the rubble to find what you need. The Brightline Flight Bag is well designed to compartmentalize all the flight gear and accessories. Need batteries, go to the battery pouch. Need a flashlight, go to the flashlight pouch. Need the glasses ... You get the idea. The color coded zippers make it easy to find exactly what you need. The detachable piece is perfect - leave it home when unnecessary, take it with when you need the extra capacity. As an instrument flight instructor and part 135 pilot, I guarantee that if you can't fit what you need in this bag, you're lugging too much junk. Watch the video, then buy one. This is the best flight bag on the market.

The BEST Flightbag
by John from Culver City CA USA

Pros: Lots of perfectly-sized, separate compartments
Cons: Remembering which compartment something is in.
Review: I used to use a large flight bag. Unfortunately, it had few separate compartments. With sunglasses, VFR and IFR charts, AFD, timers, flashlights, etc., I felt I needed such a bag. I was amazed that there was a place for everything in my new Brightline flight bag. The first time I used it, a regular passenger of mine said "You got everything from your large bag into THAT?" I'm still rather amazed!

The large number of zippered areas so exceeds my needs that I have trouble as I "settle in" to this bag exactly where today I have decided to keep a certain item. So... what I need is a better plan--and the manufacturer provides a suggested schematic on the website to assist with that. I will eventually be truly and totally at home with this bag, because it has everything I will likely ever need in terms of storage space. I just need now to use this excellent tool to get myself organized!!

Excellent bag!
by A Customer from MD, USA

Pros: Size, flexiblity (ability to zip off half the bag), great for organizing stuff.
Cons: Wish that bag height was just a little taller to more easily accomidate a standard plotter
Review: I am currently a student pilot, so I do not have the benefit of experience to tell me all that is necessary and all that isn't. What I can say is that except for the larger books that I used in ground school, I have been able to keep everything needed while flying in this bag. I like all the pockets to organize my stuff as well as its dimensions. Everything is easily accessible even if the bag is sitting in the back seat, yet it is still compact. I have also received numerous compliments on it from fellow student pilots as well as very experienced pilots.

"Not a well-placed CoG"
by WARDI from BEIJING China

Pros: "Very Practical Commercial/Private Flight Bag"
Cons: "Needs Stronger Bones To Make It Stands Upright"
Review: Its a well worked out design and met its purposes particularly the comparments. The size is perfect. However, the quality of the zippers need to be strengthened. On receippt of the good and trying out the zippers, two of them (top & frontal small pockets) couldnt fasten properly and split...not good!!. One other thing, it doesnt stand upright really well especially when its empty or half-filled. It tend to crouch making access to the front compartments difficult. It needs a strong "backbone". If the zippers colored-buttons are more luminious, it would help tremendously during night flying.

Just As Advertised
by Mike from Modesto CA USA

Pros: Small, stores a lot
Cons: Would love to have an external pocket for 406mhz like the handheld radio....
Review: This is my 4th flight bag with each prior being an improvement but none really fully fitting the bill. This bag however is it. It is small, yet stores a deceptive amount, and very functional. This is the bag I have been looking for. What it does not fit probably does not need to be in your bag anyway.

Review: The only thing I would change is to have different colored tabs on the zippers to the two main compartments. I seem to be opening the one for the charts when I really want the headset compartment. Met my expectations and then some.

Great Bag
by A Customer from Austin TX USA

Pros: Well organized; a place for everything; color coded zipper pulls
Cons: Remembering which pocket holds what
Review: This is a very nice bag, well worth the cost. Figure how much you spend on fuel and its easy to justify the difference between this and other bags. Watching Brightline's video is well worth your time and serves as a quick user's guide to take full advantage of the bag.

I love it
by JOHANN from SACRAMENTO CA USA

Pros: Very well ballenced, well organized, seems durable.
Cons: A bit higher would be nice to really fit everything (certainly not worth subtracting a star)
Review: I bought it online and had not seen/touched it. Usually not my way. Anyway when I received it I was disappointed of how small it was. However, it fit everything I could think of putting in it (except the ruler with the distances for the charts). With this bag I am perfectly organized. I find and get anything with one hand while flying (hardly watching at the bag). I certainly enjoy every flight a little bit more just because of this bag.

Perfect for my needs
by John from Norton KS USA

Pros: One bag does it all; good quality
Cons: Time will tell if bag (zippers) will stand up to hard use
Review: My brightline bag exactly meets my needs for use in a small cabin (PA28) environment. All the pockets you will need. Will take some time to get used to item locations. Seems high quality construction. Time will tell if the zippers will stand up to hard use. Pretty much is what it is advertised to be.

Pros: Organized my stuff. As long I don't forget where I put it.
Cons: not enough room for all my stuff.
Review: Not enough room. I have folding flight desk kneeboard. No place to put it all. I have two headset and portable intercom system. Also GPS system. So I would have to carry two bags. One for the intercom system, GPS system and for a hood. Right now I use a large bag to carry all my stuff that I need since I fly only Cessna 152 and 172. Some have intercoms and other do not when I fly with someone.

The Answer, Total great package
by Glenn from Clearwater FL USA

Pros: Everything organized in a very compact space
Cons: None for me
Review: By far the best Flight Bag available. It is better than I expected. The design of the storage spaces with color coded zippers keeps you from fumbling. I saw reviews before I bought it that the zippers were cheap. I disagree strongly, very study because of modern technology. The size is smaller than expected which is a big plus because there is room for everything but takes up less space in the airplane. Private Pilot

Great product well thought out.
by Larry Duthler from Grand Rapids MI USA

Review: This product delivers what it said it would. It is the 3rd bag I've owned. Had I known if it was available I would have bought it first. It's compact, yet well organized allowing finding something easy. I can't believe how much you can put in it. I wouldn't alter the bag to fit my plotter, but someone should create a rotating plotter to fit the bag. It would be nice if the shoulder strap be design to fasten to back of the opposite seat, to keep it secure and in easy reach of the pilot. That would leave the rear seat more open for passengers.

Great flightbag
by A Customer from Naperville IL USA

Pros: Excellent construction, compartments for everything you could think of
Cons: Strap is uncomfortable and feels chincy
Review: The BrightLine bag is pretty much exactly what you would expect from the video; it pretty much has space for everything that you need while flying, and keeps all of the usual gear very well organized. Construction is excellent - I expect the bag to last 10 years or more, although I have only flown about 10 hours with it since I got it. The one downside is the strap, which is a bit chincy.

Nothing but the best !!!
by JReevesTx from Round Rock TX USA

Pros: Has a place for everything with room to spare.
Cons: None.
Review: I enjoy this flight bag. It has a place for everything and just the right size. My flight instructor also really likes it; so much so that I've promised him one if and when I obtain my certification. Now he's really pushing me!

The Ultimate Gadget Bag
by Ed from Farmington CT USA

Pros: I love everything about it.
Cons: A bit on the pricey side.
Review: Although I wouldn't originally have thought to look in a pilot's store, that's exactly where my quest for a gadget bag ended. This compact bag offers numerous pockets and excellent organization for keeping the various electronic devices, charging cords, games, reading material, personal effects and other items necessary to support travel with my three boys. Shortly after seeing it, my brother exclaimed that he had "serious gadget bag envy".

The best flight bag on the planet!!
by Sharon and Bill from Tullahoma TN USA

Pros: organized, accessible, versatile, sturdy, obviously designed by pilots
Cons: None!
Review: This bag solves ALL of my flight bag issues. I don't have to dig around for anything, and what I need is always where I can get at it instantly - glasses, video camera, pens, charts, electronic tech gadget ---- I love this bag. The second half of the bag remains at home for local flights because the main bag is plenty sufficient. I go back and forth between a Luscombe 8F and a Sedan 11A. The bag makes this a lot easier by having room for all of the essentials but requiring little space to stow within reach. I can't find a thing wrong with this bag.

Great Bag
by A Customer from WEST LAFAYETTE, IN

Pros: Great organisational capability. Compact. Many, many pockets. Sturdy construction.
Cons: Zippers seem 'cheap'. Shoulder strap / carrying handle clips are plastic.
Review: This bag is definitely one of the better purchases I've made. Like many others here, I bought this bag to replace my previous bulky flight bag. One of the bag's best features is that it's modular, so I can take only my headset, GPS and other essentials with me when I don't need the other things. As I mentioned in the cons, I was quite surprised that the buckles/clips that hold the shoulder strap and carrying handle are made of plastic; I would have much rather prefered they were metal. The bag does tend to get pretty heavy when packed and I'm a little afraid the plastic clips may just snap eventually due to the stress of the weight of the bag. I may be picking nits here, but for the price you pay for the bag, I would like to see stronger securements. Similarly, the zippers used on the bag should be a lot stronger. I'm not knocking off any stars though, because the pros far outweigh the cons.

Excellent Bag
by A Customer from Auburn AL USA

Pros: Holds an amazing amount of gear efficiently
Cons: Zippers are a bit flimsy for the constant use.
Review: I purchased this bag as a substitute for my Sporty's Flight Bag for everyday use. So far it has been excellent. It is absolutely amazing how much gear can be packed into such a small package. Everything that fit into my much larger Flight Bag (except for multiple IFR chart books), fits efficiently into this bag with room to spare.

As advertised
by A Customer from Hillsborough CA USA

Review: Met my expectations. Lots of pockets, zippers and compartments. I would have liked it to be slightly bigger to better fit 8.5" x 11' paper for printed Jepcharts. Also would prefer the two main sections clip together rather than use a cumbersome zipper.

Excellent Flight Bag!
by Gary from Lexington NC USA

Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Lots of Compartments
Cons: Cannot fit my full-size E6B or Plotter in it. I have procured the micro E6B and plotter and those fit great.
Review: I debated a long while over the purchase of this bag. After all, there are a lot of other "good" bags out there for far less money. I finally got tired of dragging my other flight bag with me, so I purchased the Brightline. I have been extremely pleased with this bag. I can fit most all of my stuff in it and it is so compact and organized. I now have a place for my car keys without having to dig through the caverns of my old bag to find them. There's a pocket for pens/pencils, sunglasses, charts, etc. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Bought as a Christmas gift. Nice
by Tate from Sarasota FL USA

Pros: Good quality craftmanship
Cons: Lack of instuctions
Review: The bag is well constructed and was as discribed. I think some sort of instuctional paper work would help determine the different uses and configurations. Nothing was included in the bag about the video either. Just happen to find it on line. Poor marketing of a fine product.

The Best!!
by Paul Oosthuizen from Johannesburg, South Africa

Pros: Lots of compartments - not bits rolling around like a traditional bag - carry strap is a bonus as I have really packed in everything barring the kitchen sink so it is quite heavy
Cons: Could be fractional bigger (about 1cm all round) A4 paper is a slight squeeze - but this is a minor problem - solved by folding paper!!
Review: I was looking for a replacement for my old "coffin" Pilot Type case - most impractical thing! THEN I came across this Brightline Bag - I can honestly say that this has to be the best thing! EVERYTHING I have fits into this bag!!! Well done guys - worth the price (somewhat on the high side though) - but even to ship to South Africa it was worth it! now I am being asked by plenty locals where did I get it!!

Bought one, then bought another as a gift
by George from Palo Alto

Pros: Small, color coded zippers, quality construction, room for two headsets, appropriate and evocative shapes for common items...
Review: As has been said before, everything fits in half the space. Instead of a bag with everything sorted by gravity, each doodad (and there are a lot of them) has a home. You'll be amazed by how much this bag - actually two bags which can be combined into one - can hold. The BrightLine folks really thought this bag through.

Supurb Quality
by A Customer from Buffalo, NY

Pros: Quality construction, organization, size
Cons: Pricey but well worth it
Review: This bag is everything you need. Dont waste your time with any other flight bag out there. To me, everything else is comparable to a simple laptop case. With this bag, you fit more, and with quite a bit more organization on top of it.

Previous Customer Questions For BrightLine Pilot Flight Bag:
Ask Your Own Question
On Friday, November 25, 2011 a customer asked:
Q:
Does this bag now fit A4 folders? I believe it does but need confirmation before ordering one. I am a commercial pilot flying turboprops in africa and hope that this will do the trick for me.
A: Yes, this will hold an A4 pad in the large main compartment.

On Tuesday, May 10, 2011 a customer asked:
Q:
how about shoulder strap, yes - no
A: I assume you are asking if there is a shoulder strap?  If so, yes, a padded shoulder strap is included to allow you to carry the bag hands-free.

On Sunday, February 14, 2010 a customer asked:
Q:
Can you tell me please when the bags became bigger and how much bigger/longer the new spec bags are please?
A: In October 2009, the bag had a minor redesign to make it one inch taller, 5/8" wider, and 1/2" deeper than the previous bag.

On Friday, December 11, 2009 a customer asked:
Q:
I read somewhere that the new bags had been lengthened slightly. Will the space allocated for a logbook take a 13 or 15 inch notebook/laptop
A: The main compartment has a good chance of being able to hold a 13" laptop. The material on the bag will stretch to fit, so the sides of the bag will come in a bit to conform. Please note, this bag was not designed with laptops in mind so it does not have the typical padding for protection, however many of our customers are finding it perfect for that use.

On Thursday, November 05, 2009 a customer asked:
Q:
Hi, is this the new version of the bag (see the review made on 10/13/2009)?
A: Yes.

On Saturday, May 16, 2009 a customer asked:
Q:
where is it made?
A:

The Brightline Bag is made in China.

On Wednesday, April 29, 2009 a customer asked:
Q:
What material is used and is it waterproof?
A: The Brightline bag is made of 1000D (Denier) Nylon. The bag is not Water Proof, but water resistant.  The nylon used for the bag has PVC backing which adds to durability, rigidity, and water resistance.

On Wednesday, December 03, 2008 a customer asked:
Q:
Hi, How do I add the blue one bag in my shopping chart? Thanks
A: This flight bag is only available in Black.  They made a blue one in the past, however it is no longer being made.
