Extremely well thought out and designed product! by Dennis from Oakton, VA USA
Pros: Capacity. Compactness fully loaded Cons: Price(?) A weak con. Review: The bag more than met my expectations. Extremely organized in a logical manner. Holds an enormous amount of varied gear without feeling bulky. The video that is on the My Pilot Store website is very helpful for learning to get the most out of the bag. Rarely does a product meet expectations as advertised. This one does with flying colors.

Nice design by David from Jenks OK USA
Pros: Good selection of different sized individual compartments... Goggle/sunglass pocket well sized. Cons: I could use an exterior attachment point for small carbiners Review: Very flexible design. Many packing options for all the electronic devices we seem to "need" every time we leave home. Well thought out...and the zippers do not scare me.

I like it a lot by Lionel from Aurora CO USA
Pros: The many compartments. Cons: The zippers to the main compartment need to be stronger. I also did not receive any warrenty information. Review: I like the bag a lot. It works well for all my equipment.

Awesome bag! by Paul from McKinney TX USA
Pros: zipper color code, use of space Cons: Cost Review: I have had every bag from the Jeppesen Navigator to the AOPA free bags to military bags. Nothing comes close to Brightline's bag. I know exactly where everything is and I can easily reach back grab the correct zipper and get what I need out of it. I can easily fit my large Jeppesen logbook and 2" binder with my approach plates as well as everything else I need whether it's a flight in the area or a cross country for a burger. In the video they mention how you can remove the back portion and that it has the same pockets but what they don't highlight is that you can use those pockets even when the two bags are zipped together. It's great for storing things such as blank nav logs, clear approach plate protectors, section chart or anything else you might need but don't have to have readily available.

New Version - Improved the Bag by Ross Bishop from San Rafael, CA
Pros: Improved Zippers. Slightly large size. New features. Cons: None that I can think of. :-) Review: Hi Everyone. Ross Bishop, President of BrightLine Bags here. Just a note to let you know that we've listened and we're now shipping a new version of the bag that has lots of great improvements. First, we have significantly improved the zippers (they're smooth and rugged) and we created new injection-molded rigid zipper pulls. This is the most commented-on item, and we made this a priority. The bag is one inch taller, 5/8" wider, and 1/2" deeper to accommodate our rapidly-growing customer base overseas where they use the larger A4-sized paper. The bag is 12.5 inches tall inside now, so things that didn't fit before now do, like manilla folders, and even many laptops (but remember, it's not specifically design to be a laptop bag). We also completely redesigned the shoulder strap. No more sliding pad. Just a nice long fat fixed pad. And there are new content-trapping side panels on the two large exterior pockets on the front cover. Now things don't fall out if you open the pockets all the way. And above all, the overall quality, the stitching, and the fit and finish of the bag is even better. Our desire to contantly improve our bag really shows in this new version. We're really proud of it. You'll really enjoy it. And without a doubt, we thank you for all your great support. Cheers, RB

Nice bag but shipping box caused problems by Danny from Plano TX USA
Pros: Place for most everything. Cons: Poor packing caused damage. Review: The bag is well constructed and has a place for most everything. My problems is that the box it was shipped in was too short but they crammed the bag into the box anyway, causing a permanent crease/fold in the backing material made into the bag. I assume the backing material was made into the bag to provide it some shape. Now the bag will not stand up on and continues to fall over. This is very anoying while flying when you need something and have to reposition the bag everytime your reach for something.

Small Wonder by Curtis from Norman OK USA
Pros: Compact and Organized Cons: No pocket for my laptop Review: I frequently rent planes and must carry all my gear whereever I go. I had a large flight bag, but could never keep everything organized. This bag is wonderful! Not only is it half the size, but it neatly holds all the same gear from two headsets to a fuel tester to my logbook and maps. It even has a pocket for my phone so it won't get scrached. A great purchase that exceeded my expectations.

Excellent bag by Bryan from Schenectady NY USA
Pros: Storage compartments Cons: Needs elastic strap for rear compartment to hold AFD, logbook.... Review: This bag is everything it claims to be. Fits nicely in the back of my SportStar and has enough storage compartments to give any organizational nut a smile. Excellent product.

Best bag I expect to ever own! by Nicksdvm from Palmerton PA USA
Pros: Organized, compact, lightweight, functional Cons: So much storage there is a learning curve to remember where you put all your stuff! Review: I used to lug around a "duffel" style bag - but when I realized that I could fit everything into this incredibly well thought out, brilliantly engineered and designed bag - I switched. The only two things I haven't managed to fit are my Gats jar and Jepps charts. This bag is compact, efficiently organized and light weight - the ultimate in functionality - I have to actually remember how I organized using the color code system so I can find stuff.

Boxy by Dennis from Kansas City MO USA
Pros: Plenty of compartments Cons: Boxy, Tipsy, like a bowling ball bag. One colored zipper tag has already broken in half. Review: I do like it, just not as much as I thought I would. I wanted the many zipped compartments to eliminate searching through all my junk but now I find I'm searching through all my zippers. Because of its square shape it beats against my leg when carrying no matter how I orient it. A longer narrower shape would illiminate this problem.

This bag is awesome. by A Customer from San Angelo TX USA
Pros: I love that it has the perfect place for sectionals, where they won't get torn up. Cons: I wish it had an extra pocket for a water bottle. (It has one, but I use it for my handheld radio.) Not that big of a deal though. Review: Every pilot needs this bag. It is efficient and concise. It holds everything I need because of the many specialized pockets.

by A Customer from Fort Smith AR USA
Pros: Compact and light weight Cons: Chart and approach plate storage limited Review: I had several opportunities to see this product at several pilot supply stores. It took me several weeks of evaluating it before I made the purchase. I keep finding myself looking for more room to store my charts and plates. It is not something I will use on another long cross country. I'm not sure how, but I got several pulls on my shirt from it.

Flexible Adaptable Flight Bag!! by Jim Gaither from Fort Worth TX USA
Pros: Lots of pockets, color-coded zippers, zip-off back section and high quality Cons: There aren't any! Review: I have NOTHING negative to say about this bag. My equipment changes with each flight and I used to have three different bags to choose from for each mission. I replaced them all with this one! Being able to zip off the back section for a lighter load is the best feature of all. The color-coded zippers are a real plus, too. Every detail is well thought out (obviously designed by a pocket freak like me) and every aspect is pure quality. "Where'd you get that thing?" is a question I hear everywhere I go. It may well be the last flight bag I ever buy.

Great Bag by Tom from Fulton MS USA
Pros: Carry everything needed in small bag, small space. Cons: None Review: Good quality bag, well built and more pockets and compartments than I've been able to use yet. Room for all the necessary stuff plus plenty of room left over, yet still compact. As a CFI, it's all the bag I need and more. Would definitely recommend this bag and would buy it again.

Room for everything you carry to the aircraft. by Bill Brockhaus from Monroe, WA USA
Pros: A pocket for everything; GPS, camera, headset, kneeboard, phone, wallet, keys...... Cons: bulky when you get all the pockets filled Review: I really like this bag because of the targeted pocket design. It seems to be designed for me, I quickly started to put items in dedicated pockets so they are easy to find and be sure nothing is left behind. I store my new Lightspeed Zulu headset in its case within this bag and still have room for lots more stuff. GPS, kneeboard, camera, wallet, Ipod, batteries, pens, charts (4 plus, flashlight, Leatherman, fuel tester, .....) IT ALL FITS!!!

Great Bag by Jason from St. Louis MO USA
Pros: great design Cons: crappy zippers Review: I love the design. Highly functional. The only thing I would improve are the zippers. They're kind of cheap and I had to return my first bag due to one being broken upon arrival. If this bag had heavy duty zippers I'd give it 5 stars for sure.

More Then I Bargained For ! by Dennis from Saint Ignace MI USA
Pros: More storage then you can believe ! Cons: Where is it ! Review: Great Bag, but I keep forgeting where I put stuff ! I use it as intended, for my headset etc, but i have also used it as an "adventure bag" on a trip. Great for camera, cell cords, chargers, i-pod etc.

Plenty of Whiz and it works by A Customer from Fort Walton Beach FL USA
Pros: Keeps everything organized to the max Cons: A little expensive but worth it Review: Great product. Pockets for everything but small enough to use in a Cessna 172. Watch the video so you can get the most out of this product. Color coded zippers are great!!

Excellent Product by AK Tom from Thousand Oaks CA USA
Pros: Excellent compartmentalization and organization. Designed for pilots - not just a glorified purse. Cons: fuel tester pouch is a little over the top (great for renters) Review: In 36 years of flying I've accumulated an assortment of flight bags, none of which I loved. Most flight bags seem to be designed like a woman's purse - just throw everything in, and dig thru the rubble to find what you need. The Brightline Flight Bag is well designed to compartmentalize all the flight gear and accessories. Need batteries, go to the battery pouch. Need a flashlight, go to the flashlight pouch. Need the glasses ... You get the idea. The color coded zippers make it easy to find exactly what you need. The detachable piece is perfect - leave it home when unnecessary, take it with when you need the extra capacity. As an instrument flight instructor and part 135 pilot, I guarantee that if you can't fit what you need in this bag, you're lugging too much junk. Watch the video, then buy one. This is the best flight bag on the market.

The BEST Flightbag by John from Culver City CA USA
Pros: Lots of perfectly-sized, separate compartments Cons: Remembering which compartment something is in. Review: I used to use a large flight bag. Unfortunately, it had few separate compartments. With sunglasses, VFR and IFR charts, AFD, timers, flashlights, etc., I felt I needed such a bag. I was amazed that there was a place for everything in my new Brightline flight bag. The first time I used it, a regular passenger of mine said "You got everything from your large bag into THAT?" I'm still rather amazed!

Excellent Bag by Jim from VA USA
Pros: I like the zippered sections, the color-coding, the lightweight yet substantial fabric, even the stiff solid handle. Cons: None that come to mind. Review: This bag is meeting all my expectations. The large number of zippered areas so exceeds my needs that I have trouble as I "settle in" to this bag exactly where today I have decided to keep a certain item. So... what I need is a better plan--and the manufacturer provides a suggested schematic on the website to assist with that. I will eventually be truly and totally at home with this bag, because it has everything I will likely ever need in terms of storage space. I just need now to use this excellent tool to get myself organized!!

Excellent bag! by A Customer from MD, USA
Pros: Size, flexiblity (ability to zip off half the bag), great for organizing stuff. Cons: Wish that bag height was just a little taller to more easily accomidate a standard plotter Review: I am currently a student pilot, so I do not have the benefit of experience to tell me all that is necessary and all that isn't. What I can say is that except for the larger books that I used in ground school, I have been able to keep everything needed while flying in this bag. I like all the pockets to organize my stuff as well as its dimensions. Everything is easily accessible even if the bag is sitting in the back seat, yet it is still compact. I have also received numerous compliments on it from fellow student pilots as well as very experienced pilots.

"Not a well-placed CoG" by WARDI from BEIJING China
Pros: "Very Practical Commercial/Private Flight Bag" Cons: "Needs Stronger Bones To Make It Stands Upright" Review: Its a well worked out design and met its purposes particularly the comparments. The size is perfect. However, the quality of the zippers need to be strengthened. On receippt of the good and trying out the zippers, two of them (top & frontal small pockets) couldnt fasten properly and split...not good!!. One other thing, it doesnt stand upright really well especially when its empty or half-filled. It tend to crouch making access to the front compartments difficult. It needs a strong "backbone". If the zippers colored-buttons are more luminious, it would help tremendously during night flying.

Just As Advertised by Mike from Modesto CA USA
Pros: Small, stores a lot Cons: Would love to have an external pocket for 406mhz like the handheld radio.... Review: This is my 4th flight bag with each prior being an improvement but none really fully fitting the bill. This bag however is it. It is small, yet stores a deceptive amount, and very functional. This is the bag I have been looking for. What it does not fit probably does not need to be in your bag anyway.

by Michael from Richmond VA USA
Review: The only thing I would change is to have different colored tabs on the zippers to the two main compartments. I seem to be opening the one for the charts when I really want the headset compartment. Met my expectations and then some.

Great Bag by A Customer from Austin TX USA
Pros: Well organized; a place for everything; color coded zipper pulls Cons: Remembering which pocket holds what Review: This is a very nice bag, well worth the cost. Figure how much you spend on fuel and its easy to justify the difference between this and other bags. Watching Brightline's video is well worth your time and serves as a quick user's guide to take full advantage of the bag.

I love it by JOHANN from SACRAMENTO CA USA
Pros: Very well ballenced, well organized, seems durable. Cons: A bit higher would be nice to really fit everything (certainly not worth subtracting a star) Review: I bought it online and had not seen/touched it. Usually not my way. Anyway when I received it I was disappointed of how small it was. However, it fit everything I could think of putting in it (except the ruler with the distances for the charts). With this bag I am perfectly organized. I find and get anything with one hand while flying (hardly watching at the bag). I certainly enjoy every flight a little bit more just because of this bag.

Perfect for my needs by John from Norton KS USA
Pros: One bag does it all; good quality Cons: Time will tell if bag (zippers) will stand up to hard use Review: My brightline bag exactly meets my needs for use in a small cabin (PA28) environment. All the pockets you will need. Will take some time to get used to item locations. Seems high quality construction. Time will tell if the zippers will stand up to hard use. Pretty much is what it is advertised to be.

by Peter from Lake Worth FL USA
Pros: Organized my stuff. As long I don't forget where I put it. Cons: not enough room for all my stuff. Review: Not enough room. I have folding flight desk kneeboard. No place to put it all. I have two headset and portable intercom system. Also GPS system. So I would have to carry two bags. One for the intercom system, GPS system and for a hood. Right now I use a large bag to carry all my stuff that I need since I fly only Cessna 152 and 172. Some have intercoms and other do not when I fly with someone.

The Answer, Total great package by Glenn from Clearwater FL USA
Pros: Everything organized in a very compact space Cons: None for me Review: By far the best Flight Bag available. It is better than I expected. The design of the storage spaces with color coded zippers keeps you from fumbling. I saw reviews before I bought it that the zippers were cheap. I disagree strongly, very study because of modern technology. The size is smaller than expected which is a big plus because there is room for everything but takes up less space in the airplane. Great product well thought out. by Larry Duthler from Grand Rapids MI USA
Review: This product delivers what it said it would. It is the 3rd bag I've owned. Had I known if it was available I would have bought it first. It's compact, yet well organized allowing finding something easy. I can't believe how much you can put in it. I wouldn't alter the bag to fit my plotter, but someone should create a rotating plotter to fit the bag. It would be nice if the shoulder strap be design to fasten to back of the opposite seat, to keep it secure and in easy reach of the pilot. That would leave the rear seat more open for passengers.

Great flightbag by A Customer from Naperville IL USA
Pros: Excellent construction, compartments for everything you could think of Cons: Strap is uncomfortable and feels chincy Review: The BrightLine bag is pretty much exactly what you would expect from the video; it pretty much has space for everything that you need while flying, and keeps all of the usual gear very well organized. Construction is excellent - I expect the bag to last 10 years or more, although I have only flown about 10 hours with it since I got it. The one downside is the strap, which is a bit chincy.

Nothing but the best !!! by JReevesTx from Round Rock TX USA
Pros: Has a place for everything with room to spare. Cons: None. Review: I enjoy this flight bag. It has a place for everything and just the right size. My flight instructor also really likes it; so much so that I've promised him one if and when I obtain my certification. Now he's really pushing me!

The Ultimate Gadget Bag by Ed from Farmington CT USA
Pros: I love everything about it. Cons: A bit on the pricey side. Review: Although I wouldn't originally have thought to look in a pilot's store, that's exactly where my quest for a gadget bag ended. This compact bag offers numerous pockets and excellent organization for keeping the various electronic devices, charging cords, games, reading material, personal effects and other items necessary to support travel with my three boys. Shortly after seeing it, my brother exclaimed that he had "serious gadget bag envy".

The best flight bag on the planet!! by Sharon and Bill from Tullahoma TN USA
Pros: organized, accessible, versatile, sturdy, obviously designed by pilots Cons: None! Review: This bag solves ALL of my flight bag issues. I don't have to dig around for anything, and what I need is always where I can get at it instantly - glasses, video camera, pens, charts, electronic tech gadget ---- I love this bag. The second half of the bag remains at home for local flights because the main bag is plenty sufficient. I go back and forth between a Luscombe 8F and a Sedan 11A. The bag makes this a lot easier by having room for all of the essentials but requiring little space to stow within reach. I can't find a thing wrong with this bag.

Great Bag by A Customer from WEST LAFAYETTE, IN
Pros: Great organisational capability. Compact. Many, many pockets. Sturdy construction. Cons: Zippers seem 'cheap'. Shoulder strap / carrying handle clips are plastic. Review: This bag is definitely one of the better purchases I've made. Like many others here, I bought this bag to replace my previous bulky flight bag. One of the bag's best features is that it's modular, so I can take only my headset, GPS and other essentials with me when I don't need the other things. As I mentioned in the cons, I was quite surprised that the buckles/clips that hold the shoulder strap and carrying handle are made of plastic; I would have much rather prefered they were metal. The bag does tend to get pretty heavy when packed and I'm a little afraid the plastic clips may just snap eventually due to the stress of the weight of the bag. I may be picking nits here, but for the price you pay for the bag, I would like to see stronger securements. Similarly, the zippers used on the bag should be a lot stronger. I'm not knocking off any stars though, because the pros far outweigh the cons.

Finally - everything you need in a small quality package! by Kris from Edwardsville IL USA
Pros: small, high quality, well designed, Cons: shoulder strap connection could have been a little more offset Review: This flight bag is outstanding. It has a place for everything yet is small, convenient and very high quality. Very well thought out.

Pros: small yet roomy, wont take up any room in any aircraft Cons: price Review: It holds everything you have or need and there is always room for more.

Excellent Bag by A Customer from Auburn AL USA
Pros: Holds an amazing amount of gear efficiently Cons: Zippers are a bit flimsy for the constant use. Review: I purchased this bag as a substitute for my Sporty's Flight Bag for everyday use. So far it has been excellent. It is absolutely amazing how much gear can be packed into such a small package. Everything that fit into my much larger Flight Bag (except for multiple IFR chart books), fits efficiently into this bag with room to spare.

As advertised by A Customer from Hillsborough CA USA
Review: Met my expectations. Lots of pockets, zippers and compartments. I would have liked it to be slightly bigger to better fit 8.5" x 11' paper for printed Jepcharts. Also would prefer the two main sections clip together rather than use a cumbersome zipper.

Excellent Flight Bag! by Gary from Lexington NC USA
Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Lots of Compartments Cons: Cannot fit my full-size E6B or Plotter in it. I have procured the micro E6B and plotter and those fit great. Review: I debated a long while over the purchase of this bag. After all, there are a lot of other "good" bags out there for far less money. I finally got tired of dragging my other flight bag with me, so I purchased the Brightline. I have been extremely pleased with this bag. I can fit most all of my stuff in it and it is so compact and organized. I now have a place for my car keys without having to dig through the caverns of my old bag to find them. There's a pocket for pens/pencils, sunglasses, charts, etc. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Bought as a Christmas gift. Nice by Tate from Sarasota FL USA
Pros: Good quality craftmanship Cons: Lack of instuctions Review: The bag is well constructed and was as discribed. I think some sort of instuctional paper work would help determine the different uses and configurations. Nothing was included in the bag about the video either. Just happen to find it on line. Poor marketing of a fine product.

Bought one, then bought another as a gift by George from Palo Alto
Pros: Small, color coded zippers, quality construction, room for two headsets, appropriate and evocative shapes for common items... Review: As has been said before, everything fits in half the space. Instead of a bag with everything sorted by gravity, each doodad (and there are a lot of them) has a home. You'll be amazed by how much this bag - actually two bags which can be combined into one - can hold. The BrightLine folks really thought this bag through.

The Best!! by Paul Oosthuizen from Johannesburg, South Africa
Pros: Lots of compartments - not bits rolling around like a traditional bag - carry strap is a bonus as I have really packed in everything barring the kitchen sink so it is quite heavy Cons: Could be fractional bigger (about 1cm all round) A4 paper is a slight squeeze - but this is a minor problem - solved by folding paper!! Review: I was looking for a replacement for my old "coffin" Pilot Type case - most impractical thing! THEN I came across this Brightline Bag - I can honestly say that this has to be the best thing! EVERYTHING I have fits into this bag!!! Well done guys - worth the price (somewhat on the high side though) - but even to ship to South Africa it was worth it! now I am being asked by plenty locals where did I get it!!

Supurb Quality by A Customer from Buffalo, NY
Pros: Quality construction, organization, size Cons: Pricey but well worth it Review: This bag is everything you need. Dont waste your time with any other flight bag out there. To me, everything else is comparable to a simple laptop case. With this bag, you fit more, and with quite a bit more organization on top of it.

Great Bag by Colleen from Littleton, CO
Pros: Everything fits in half the space-very organized Cons: None- Review: I just purchased this bag at the Pilot Store- my flight bag was getting out of control and heavy!- This is a great bag- everything fits in half the space- I'm getting used to where I put things, so it's even easier to use. A lot of thought went into this and it is greatly appreciated!
