Pilot USA's entry level headset, but packed with features not usually found
at this price point. Fitted with an electret noise canceling microphone
and windscreen, your voice will be heard loud and clear by ATC. The headset can
be used in monaural or stereo modes. It comes fitted with a combination of
liquid and foam ear seals to make it very comfortable by disbursing the
headset’s weight evenly over your head. To make your flying more enjoyable, the
headset comes with an input jack which allows you to input an audio source from
your IPOD, MP3, Satellite Radio, or CD player. The same jack serves as
dual role as a cell/satellite phone jack. The PA-1161T comes with a
Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 24 dB which is more than adequate to protect
your hearing in normal aviation environments.

Good value for the price

Good headset

Cons: Head pad could better
Review: Good headset no complaints except on longer flights the head pad can be a little uncomfortable, works great with a ipod.

Works good, but mic needs attention

Pros: fits good and is comfortable
Cons: microphone does not pick up the sound very well
Review: This headset has worked well for my husband, who is just beginning his studies to learn to fly. He has used the headset in flight and his only complaint is that the microphone does not pick up very good. He has to have the mic touching his mouth for it to pick up his voice, and he's not a quiet talker.
