Great Way to Understand Tailwheel Flying by Fred from Sutton MA USA
Review: While this is not a Hollywood production it was a very good attempt to produce a concise approach to providing the aspects of flying a tailwheel. I had 11 hrs in a tailwheel before I watched and learned some new things as well as having a few things cleared up which gave me a better understanding why certain things happen and what to do when they happen. Cost less than an hour of instruction cant go wrong and you can take the lesson over and over again @ no charge!

Fly it all the way to engine shutdown by Phantom Flyer Ross from Fort Myers FL USA
Pros: Excellent presentation and content Cons: none Review: I think this tailwheel instructional course is outstanding. It was very thorough and covered the subject very well,ie the basics, the challenges one might face, cross winds, and the like. To be honest I didn't really appreciate all the stuff one needs to know to fly a tailwheel machine.

Pros: Very informative, interesting, and high quality production. Cons: Expensive. Review: The DVD is done very well. It is very informative, and the presentation of material is both interesting and high quality. However, my copy arived with a broken case. Not a big problem, but for the money, I would expect it to be perfect.

Good video, however... by David from Temple TX USA
Pros: Good production quality. Good explanations of the differences in tailwheel and trigear aircraft. Cons: Overpriced. Not enough shots looking out of the cockpit. Review: There is a lot of good information in this DVD related to why a tailwheel airplane acts differently on the ground than a trigear airplane. The quality of the video and the production quality are quite good. However, I would like to have seen more in the cockpit shots during the landing sequences. My personal trials and tribulations in learning tailwheel landings has centered on the "sight picture" looking out of the cockpit. I feel the DVD is a little overpriced.

Nice introduction and summary of major concepts by A Customer from Newtown PA USA
Pros: Good content from a highly experienced pro Cons: Expensive for the amount of content Review: The DVD met my expectations. It could have been a bit longer. What was in there was great, but for the price (which is really high), it should have covered more.

great intro to tailwheel flying by Marcel from Naperville IL USA
Pros: interesting to watch, good explanations (ground school) Cons: could hit a little more advanced topics, skills Review: I loved watching this video to get an introduction to tail wheel flying. It is made in an interesting way as you basically get an abbreviated third party view on somebody going through a tail wheel endorsement. However, the video could incorporate a little more advance techniques and skills.

Get's you inside the airplane for "pitch attitudes" by Cory the Citabria 7KCAB pilot from Ann Arbor MI USA
Pros: Easily see, visualize & understand tailwheel principals Cons: You can't always train and fly in a beautiful Top Cub. Also more info given on expected time-frame of training it takes or # of landings to expect for tailwheel endorsement. Review: This DVD has great scenery and great airplanes (Top Cub, etc.) which inspired me. I was able to re-watch the DVD over and over which helped me understand the principles and pitch attitudes, which helped, since the Citabria 7KCAB doesn't have as many gauges and instruments as the C-172 that I'm used to flying. Also I could "armchair" practice the 3-point landing or wheel landing while at home. Before beginning training, I probably watched the DVD about 10 times. Currently, I've completed 1.9 hours of actaul tailwheel instruction. My instructor said that I've progressed pretty quickly, and that I'm at a point where most of his students would normally take about 5 to 6 hours to reach.

Very informative by Tom Whitemore from Healdsburg CA USA
Pros: to the point / great visual instruction / interesting enough to view over, again and again Cons: I didn't get a certificate for a free instruction at their school !! Review: With the information and visual reference, I feel that I can try my hand with a Cub and have an idea what im going to get in return; A bit of challenge and a lot of fun! Good mix of instruction; they did a good job of keeping the classroom time short and sweet, and did a great job with the in-plane video instruction.
