I would NOT by this product again.

Review: This cord did not fit the plugo-in on my 496 as advertized. Plug to unit was not 496 compatable.

Garmin 12VDC power cable

Pros: Strength and ease of holding
Cons: Garmin needs to redesign this connection to be more durable.
Review: Looks stronger than the original cable. The right angle plug that tended to separate over time is now a straight plug that looks somewhat stronger and less susceptible to fraying at the bend. 12VDC plug is well made and easy to grasp.
