Thursday, August 13, 2009 Very helpful, but kind of expensive by Daniel from Roscoe IL USA  Pros: Easy to learn, repetitive to drive home points Cons: Expensive Review: I found the cards to be very helpful in learning to quickly recognize and calculate your position relative to the VOR, and to easily calculate changes. Multiple cards covering different aspects helped drive information home, and I felt much more comfortable reading a VOR after using the cars. Still, the price is pretty high for some flash cards... Even so, they were and are helpful. Tuesday, September 30, 2008 Took me from totally confused to finally getting it by Marcus from Galveston, TX  Pros: Steps you through in levels of difficulty. Cons: Doesn't come with a box Review: Was really struggling to understand VORs, and my instructor pointed me to these flash cards. Really satisfied with them. The first five sections are entirely intro, and walked me through even what a radial means versus what a course means. Took me awhile to get past the basics, but then made it through the rest. Feel pretty good about VORs now. Wish it came with a box, but I found an index card box at Office Depot for $5 that fits. A great (and fun!) way to sharpen VOR skills using a completely realistic and effective simulation without incurring Hobbs and CFI costs. The deck is well-organized in section tabs and has real-life situations with easy to read diagrams. The "tips and tricks" are especially helpful. VORs-At-A-Glance has sharpened my ability to read and interpret VOR's as advertised - at a glance! I keep it on my desk and use it frequently – it’s easy to run through just a few cards if short on time and I learn something new each time I do. Dyer's flash cards have improved my situational awareness and have made me a safer and more competent VFR pilot. Well worth the money!
