Jeppesen programs use a three-step method to teach procedures and it really

- The Demo mode plays an animated, narrated “movie” to
illustrate the selected topic, using a scenario. Controls are
provided to pause, play, rewind or jump to any step of the movie.
- The Training mode prompts you through the same scenario
and task, shown in the Demo mode, supported with on-screen
text prompts to guide you through the correct actions.
- The Solo mode reinforces your knowledge by allowing you to
do the task, but without on-screen text prompting. A feedback
system alerts you of any incorrect actions and a help-system
is available.

Q: I am new to Garmin 530W, no prior Garmin experience, other than portables..... do I need 2 or more DVD's... ie the training VFR & Core IFR procedures, and the WAAS Procedures ?? or just the WAAS procedures

This software course will cover the entire 530W system however if you have no prior experience with the 530 itself, you may wish to pick up the Garmin GNS 530/430 Training VFR and Core IFR Procedures software course as well to get familiar with the GPS itself starting from the basics.
