Worth the price. One of my prime reasons for buying a Telex headset is because it is made in the USA. Forget the other stuff; Buy American! I am only a student pilot so I don't have a lot of experience with headsets or their common problems. The sound quality seems superb, I guess the ANR works well enough. The comfort seems great for my training flights but seems like the bulk and weight may get to ya' on a long cross country. I wanted something with a lot of noise cancellation and for the most part it does a good job, though i would have liked a little more cancellation. It is not overwhelming heavy but on long trips it does aggravate my ears and make them sweat, so if you fly on long trips all the time I would probably recommend something more comfortable and with more noise cancellation. However, Lightspeed has a comparable priced model that has better noise reduction and more comofort aroudn the ears. I really like the ability to adjust the tension on the head with the Telex. This makes longer flights much more comfortable. The cell phone and acessory inputs are really nice as well. I do like the lower profile of this headset over the Lightspeed. All in all it's a good headset, but I would probably buy the Lightspeed next time.
