Good product but waiting to see how it holds up

Pros: Appears to be a quality product. The fit is excellent with a large size for my 6foot 185 pound frame.
Cons: It remains to be seen ow well the lining and cuffs will hold up in the long term.

Review: I bought one about exactly like this one, same inside embroidery stitching, same inside front panels, etc. about 15 years ago from Ham.-Schm. in Chicago. This one is about the same but I think the leather seems thinner. It is definitely not the same weight overall but my husband still likes it. Perfect Christmas Present for My 88 Year Old Dad

Review: Really --- it was perfect for a myriad of reasons. Mom and Dad were married in 1943. Dad was in the Army Air Corp. Listening to his stories as a boy growing up were memorable including a B-24 crash he survived in Boise, Idaho. He is very patriotic and member of numerous related organizations. Since he is 6'2" I was afraid he would need a "Tall" which would have required back order. But the sales representative assured me that the Regular would work fine. And it did as the jacket is a totally perfect fit. The only problem was what to get Mom for an equivalent Christmas present for 2009. I decided to buy her a nice quilt and matching pillows and the like. It was the best thing I could think of for an extra special present. But nothing compares with the pride I felt to help Dad try that jacket on in Anderson, South Carolina, when I arrived from Los Angeles to celebrate Christmas at home on 12/26/2009. Too large, but fits the dream!

Review: A review? Yeah, I'll write a review. It's a great look and a good feel. They said it would be roomy, but there's more space inside than my apartment. I stand a little over six feet, weigh about 192 pounds with a 36 inch waist. I wear a 46 sport coat so I bought the extra large as recommended, and while snug across my shoulders, there's a lot of space inside. I can wear a heavy cable knit, Irish sweater and a leather sport coat underneath without stretching the jacket. Okay, I admit it, when I added woolen long underwear it started to look like it fit. But I'm giving it five stars, because My Pilot is selling more than a jacket, they're selling a dream. For those of us who are still fighting the second World War, or wish we could have, this boosts the image like no other jacket could. I have to go now. My plane was shot down a few days ago, and I was the only one who got out. It's been raining here, and I'm trying to get home. Right now I'm crawling through the mud in some farmer's freshly furrowed field. Intelligence said there's a Nazi tank unit somewhere in the vicinity. So I've got to be careful. If God is with me, I'll make it back.

Review: I haven't purchased - let alone seen - a decent product made in the USA in at least five years. So I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem on the internet. This jacket is beautifully made and fits me perfectly (I got the XL). I'm 6' 1", weigh 215 and wear a size 38 Levi Jeans (if that helps anyone with sizing questions), and this fits me as if it were tailor made. And let's not overlook the fact that it's as handsome a jacket as the fellow now wearing it... I may even buy a second one because, on those rare occasions when I've found a product this good and it came time to replace it, the company or quality was no longer available. Great leather Aviator jacket!

Review: The leather is wonderful and will likely get softer and more "antique" with time. Contrary to some reviews, both my husband and I LOVED the lining. It gives us a smile every time. Living in Wisconsin, he needs this jacket most of the year and will thoroughly enjoy it. Plenty of room for fleece under it.

Great piece of American History!

Review: This jacket was all I expected and then some. Very well made (in America I might add!) and extremely warm. The lining itself is like looking back in history as well. Fits true to size. And the compliments are never ending anywhere I go! Should last a long time with minimal upkeep. I'm hot-natured by rule, but have been very comfortable even in the strange Louisiana up and down weather we have! (20's at night to upper 70's during the day)

Review: This is a really good quality A-2 leather jacket. It was alitte stiff around the collar at frist, but it broke in after a week. I received the jacket 2 days before christmas, when I ordered it on 12-16. It's getting the worn look real easily since i got it a month ago and wearing it. There's no need to go an extra size I got a 2xl, and can still wear a sweat shirt underneath. Top quality jacket for a top gun pilot

Review: Loved this wonderful A-2 Leather Jacket!! My dad, a WWII pilot, is 86 years young and loves the feel, the warmth and the good looks of this A-2. The lining is great with artistic flair that is fun to show off. The weight is heavy but the leather is supple, unlike so many other supposed "genuine" A-2's. Very reasonable price as I saw the identical jacket on other sites/catalogs for $50 to $120 more.

Cons: Possibly the weight/size and the fact that it's so warm. But really, these are qualities of this type of jacket.
Review: This is my first leather jacket and it is amazing! Very thick, very heavy, just like an A-2 is supposed to be. My only complaint (if I was forced to have one) was that it's SO thick I haven't really had much chance to wear it with the weather still warm. If you're looking for a flight jacket though, this is GREAT!

Yes, the manufacturer does recommend anyone over 6' 1" and less than 6' 6" order the tall style.

The collar is secured in the down position using snaps, but it does not have snaps at the top or bottom of the zipper.
