A nice compact base unit. by Glen from Anchorage AK USA
Pros: Well built and easy to use. Cons: The purchase price is pretty high, especially considering the price of their similair FM units. Review: We purchased 4 of the Icom IC-A110s with built in power supply to use in our navaid shelters. The radios have some nice features and work well. It makes a very nice base radio. Audio quality is good and has plenty of RF output power. It has more features (like scanning) than we really need.

Great Tranceiver & Great Service by Ken from Bishop CA USA
Pros: Has scan capability Cons: In order to program the radio to default to your priority channel from the scan mode when you lift the mike you must purchase additional sofware and cables. I would think this would be a common used feature. Review: We bought the tranceiver as a replacement for a 1960s vintage unit that was experiencing a lot of intermitant white noise. Although this white noise was presant on hand held radios hooked to the same antenna, the IC-A110 was able to squelch it out and still receive transmissions from great distances. We love the ICOm IC-A110.
