Sigtronics Transcom II Portable Intercom
- Fail safe feature allows pilot to always hear radios - even if the
intercom is off.

The Transcom II is available in 2 place, 4 place, and 6 place versions with the
addition of one or two remote expansion modules (accommodating two passengers
each), which are connected to the main unit by a 4 foot cord. This allows the
backseat passengers to have their own units and connection points, and helps
keep cord entanglements to a minimum.
A music input in all Transcom II intercoms makes long trips more enjoyable
for crew and passengers. An audio output records flight dialog for post flight
review, a great training tool for any pilot.

Great Product

Pros: compact, solid enclosure, good quality parts, excellent noise reduction.
Cons: Would be nice to have individual pilot/copilot volume controls
Review: The product itself is great and would have gotten 5 stars if it would allow cell phone calls to be made using the audio input jack. Everything works as advertised and I am very happy with it. I am using it in a PPC, so it doesn't get much more "open cockpit" than that. Would be nice if they offered a pouch that could be used to attach it to frame rails, or in my case the CG tubes with velcro. I made one for a 20 dollars, so it's not that big of a deal.

Nice piece of gear

Pros: Size, weight, cost, one-battery unit.
Cons: None observed, so far
Review: To be honest, i haven't had a chance to really give my intercom unit a good workout. I bought it for use in my Aeronca 7DC, which just got out of the shop yesterday, and I look forward to using the unit w/n the next few days.
