breakthrough in comfort and noise attenuation. For example, the new adjustable
Six pillow, soft foam head pad is designed to conform to head contours and
eliminate "hot spots" on extra long flights.
The Extra Soft Foam ear seals are made to surround the ears with quiet
comfort. This blocks noise interference and provides the optimum comfort in a
"no-squeeze" fit for hours of use. With a Noise Reduction Rating of -23 dB,
quiet is what you will hear.
An improved solid state Electret M-55 Condenser Microphone offers the finest
in audio clarity and noise-canceling properties. The six-way adjustable
"friction boom" allows for precision placement of the microphone and can be
positioned on either side of the mouth.
The long, heavy duty cable assembly can withstand strains up to 95 pounds and
retain its flexibility from -40° to +120°F. Attached to the cables are gold

Excellent for the price! by Eric from Clearwater, Florida
Pros: A lot of value and solid performance for a very reasonable price Cons: None I've found so far Review: I own a great pair of LightSpeed 30XLc 's, I bought this SoftComm C-40 as a second set for passengers and/or backup. I'm extremely impressed at how well they work! Relative to their <$100 price, these are good quality with surprisingly good performance. The passive attenuation is as good as any passive David Clark out there. The headband is a nice snug fit without the pressure. Nicely padded top band. Microphone is noise-canceling and quite crisp. These make an excellent first-time set or extra set for passengers. I feel as though I got more than my money's worth.

cheap doesn't necessarily mean poor quality by dave howell from columbus, ohio
Pros: light weight and inexpensive - and made in the U.S. too Cons: haven't found any yet Review: I don't see how a tool could work any better. cancels engine and wind noise very well.

You get what you pay for. by Karol from Fox Lake IL USA
Pros: Cheap!!!!, excelent nose reduction. Cons: quite speakers. Review: I was looking for a cheap headset to give to passengers like my sister to use, instead of barrowing one from my flight instructor. I’m a new private pilot and a whole lot of people want to fly with me. That’s exactly what I got with this product I wouldn’t use it myself as a main headset but it firs this purpose well. My passengers complain that it’s too quite; they have a hard time hiring me even with the volume turned up all the way.

Excellent headset! by KertDawg from North Carolina
Pros: Excellent comfort, excellent audio, excellent microphone. Cons: Mike boom might wear with abuse. Review: I won't mention how inexpensive this headset is. Compared to more expensive headsets, it's still a good set. It fits well and stays comfortable for hours. The mike boom is not the most durable, but it certainly does the job. The audio quality is great, and the microphone works very well.

Pros: Very reliable. Review: I have had this model headset for 7 years with no problems. After purchase of Cherokee Six, I had headsets to buy. Based on personal experience with Softcom, we went that way.
