Gleim's Pilot Refresher Course (PRC) weight and balance and performance charts are a make-and-model specific recurrent ground training course designed to increase pilots' safety, knowledge, and abilities. This course is a structured, interactive, self-study review and certificate program delivered via the Internet.

PRC will help prepare you for your flight review (formerly referred to as a biennial or BFR). In addition, completion of this course meets the FAA's criteria for attendance at a "safety meeting," one of the requirements for completion of a phase of the FAA's Pilot Proficiency Award Program (commonly referred to as the Wings Program).

At the completion of the course, you will receive three certificates:

• A graduation certificate to present to your CFI at the time of your flight review.
• A graduation memo to verify completion of the "safety meeting" requirement for completion of a phase of the Wings program.
• A graduation certificate to send to your insurance company. This course is make-and-model specific ground recurrent training, which should help to reduce your premiums and make you a more desirable insurance risk.

Thursday, September 10, 2009 Excellent refresher for the busy guy. by A Customer from Beaumont TX USA  Pros: Self-paced, easy to review what was missed, great assessment tools. Cons: More animations of 3-space operations. Review: Having been out of flying for 20 years, staring a BFR in the face was a daunting experience. I took the online course because I am very busy and needed a self-paced review that I could take before getting into a plane with a CFR. I was quite pleased with the results and it gave in a jump start into my refresher training in the airplane. Why 4 and not 5? I thought there could have been better graphics, possibly an animation or two concerning TCA activities and the interpretation of the sectional.
