Great Passive Headset!!
by James Moore from Junction City, KS

Pros: Lightweight and comfortable
Cons: The Mono/Stereo switch can be a little difficult to get to.
Review: Lightweight and comfortable. The ear seals that came with the set are good, but I upgraded with the gel ear seals and work pretty good with glasses on. Definitely one of the top passive headsets. My only complaint would be the Mono/Stereo switch can be a little difficult to get to especially if you don't pop the ear seal off and switch it before you get into the aircraft.

Great simple headset.
by Kyle from Clermont FL USA

Pros: Light, Comfortable, Not $1000, Good Construction
Cons: Notta
Review: Very good product, audio quality on par with the david clarks. The david clarks squeezed too tight on me but these are just fine. They look a little bulky but in the plane they are fine and you dont notice it, they are nice and light too. Also I can wear a hat and sunglasses with them just fine.

Great First Headset
by A Customer from Weymouth MA

Pros: Inexpensive, Well Built, Simple
Cons: Bulky
Review: Not every head is shaped the same, but I consider this headset comfortable enough for me. The passive noise reduction is decent, the audio sounds good, and the microphone is excellent. It comes with a really spiffy bag, too. It's a great headset to do your training in.

Works well
by Dirk from Reno NV USA

Pros: Light, very competitive price, 10 year warranty, comfortable
Cons: Not many after market parts (ear pads, etc).
Review: Lightest headset out there afaik. I thought about getting the DC 13.4 but the Sennheiser is even lighter at 12.4 oz. Comfortable to wear. The Sennheiser comes with a 10 year warranty. It's cheaper as well compared to the DC 13.4. All in all a pretty good deal.

Light and Comfortable
by Arrow Thomas from Torrance, CA

Pros: Light, comfortable and great sound quality
Cons: NONE
Review: This is my first headset and I am amazed at how comfortable and light it is. I have no problem wearing it on cross country trips and actually forget I am wearing it. The sound quality is great and it's stereo to! I plan to add a second set for the right seat.

Stereotypically 'German' engineering
by A Customer from WI USA

Pros: It's not green
Cons: none
Review: Used and abused D/C's for many years in harsh airline environment. All that metal hardware does occasionally come unscrewed leaving you in the same condition (minus the "un") if you don't have spare circlips, screws, nuts, washers, bushings, and tools in your flight bag. The somewhat "lighter" construction of this Sennheiser should not be mistaken as flimsy by comparison, but rather interpreted as a design more refined for the confines of the cockpit. Quality is actually excellent. I bought two. If you're not going to play shot put with the the thing, it will last a long time.

In line with other Sennheiser products
by CKC from FL USA

Pros: Light, comfortable and good sound
Cons: Jury still out on the quality of construction, but so far so good.
Review: More like 3.5 stars. I like the feel of the headset. It is light and comfortable, but a little bit flimsier than I expected. I use studio headphones in my work, so that may have skewed my expectation, but so far they are holding up well (after about 15 hours of use and counting). The sound is good, but not sure if the slight delay is due to a needed adjustment. Overall, I am satisfied and feel this is a good headset and a good price.

Very high quality for the price
by Joe from Allentown, PA

Pros: Clear communications, comfortable, stylish design
Review: This headset is a fantastic purchase. Its light and comfortable to wear, and sounds perfectly clear. It is at least as good as the David Clarks, and not as expensive. In fact, I hardly realize I'm wearing this headset, compared to the DC pair I used to wear. It is easy to adjust, and also looks very stylish and stands out against a lot of the other GA headsets out there. I highly recommend it. As a note, the ear cups are actually black in color, not blue. Also, the bag that comes with it is a very good bag.

Ask Your Own Question
On Sunday, September 06, 2009 a customer asked:
Q:
Hello, I would like to know if they have the 10 years warranty and if not how much?
A: This Sennheiser HME110 has a five year warranty.  The only Sennheiser aviation headset with a 10-year warranty is the Sennheiser HMEC-460.

On Sunday, August 16, 2009 a customer asked:
Q:
What is the difference between HME 110 and 120 ? Does 120 also have two jacks for mic and earpiece?
A: The Sennheiser HME 120 is a helicopter headset and the HME 110 is a fixed wing headset.  The HME 120 has a single plug (U-174/U) and the HME 110 has dual plugs (PJ-055/PJ-068).

On Tuesday, April 07, 2009 a customer asked:
Q:
Is the HME 100 TSO'd? For that matter, what Sennheiser aviation headsets are TSO'd and which are not? My company is requiring TSO'd headsets and my order is awaiting your answer. Thanks.
A: This headset is TSO'd. The HMEC-46 series are also TSO'd as well as the HMEC-25 series (except for the KAS model).

On Sunday, August 24, 2008 a customer asked:
Q:
Hello, What's the difference between the HEM100 and HME110 ? I gathered the HME120 is for helicopters. thanks
A: The HME100 was discontinued and replaced by the HME110 about two years ago.  The only difference was a slight change in the color of the earcups.

On Friday, January 26, 2007 a customer asked:
Q:
Hello, I need to buy this headset but I am wondering if all are purple or do you have it in another color? Awaiting for your early reply, Carolina
A: Carolina, These headsets are actually blue (the only color that is available). The adjustments on your monitor may make the picture appear purple, but they are blue.
