Review: Too simplistic - no depth. It is better to purchase the manual from the Garmin manufacturer which is on target than to purchase an overpriced manual from someone who thinks they know what they are talking about. This manual is a waste of money to purchase this "manual"

Asking for a refund by tf from San Francisco, CA
Review: I am returning this book. It borders on intentional misrepresentation. The cover of this book is color. That is the only page that is. The rest of the book is B&W and looks like someone copied it on a copier themselves. The problem with this is that when using the G1000, color means a lot. While this manual has some basic lessons which you can follow along, looking at a B&W version of the screen on the pages gives you no connection to the actual cockpit controls. This might be an ok introduction at $12, but to charge a real book price for this isn't right, and putting a color picture on the cover is just plain misleading.

Good and not so good by vic from NV USA
Review: It is easy to use, very basic simplistic guide, that said it does not begin to cover the things the G1000 is capable of doing.... cheesy paper/print job... but handy for use in the aircraft....seriously overpriced in my opinion.

Read book twice. Excellent reference source. by Robert Lee from White Stone VA USA
Pros: Covers each topic clearly and with an illustration. Cons: Not in color. Review: Wish I the book from day one as it is clear and to the point. Each page is a single topic. This manual is much better than any published by the aircraft or G1000 manufacturer. Would make it a number one purchase.

Happy with Product by A Customer from
Pros: The ring binder layout is good inside the cockpit !! Cons: No real negatives. Review: I fly a G1000 aircraft. This manual will supplement all the other books and guides I have. I like the lay-out of this manual. It is very "user-friendly". The only true way to learn the G1000 system is to fly it...fly it....fly it. This manual is a good guide!

Overpriced for what it contains. by Joel from Los Angeles CA USA
Cons: Lacks sufficient information, and appears to have been printed on a standard copy machine. Review: I found this guide to be less than helpful. A better alternative is Max Trescott's G1000 Glass Cockpit Handbok. This book is not a professional representation of the G1000, and does not have the detail necessary to fully cover the features.

Excellent reading material for G1000 by David from Houston TX USA
Pros: Well thought out presentation Cons: Could use some pictures Review: Purchase this book to update myself on the Garmin G1000. Very helpful as I fly a Cessna C182 at rental place in Sugar Land Texas. I like it so much that I purchase the latest version that cover WAAS approaches.
