Icom IC-22 / IC-A3 1200mAh NI-MH Battery
- 2 customer reviews.

Aftermarket battery that replaces the 600 MAH NI-Cad battery (CM-166) for the Icom IC-A22/IC-A3.
This is a 12v 1200mAh Nickel Metal Hydride battery for ICOM IC-A22 and IC-A3.
It's the same size as original stock battery, with twice the operating time !
Hi-Watt power!
What's the difference between Ni-Cad and Ni-MH batteries?
The main difference between the two is that NiMH battery (the newer technology
of the two) offers a higher energy density than NiCads. In other words, the
capacity of a NiMH is approximately twice the capacity of its NiCad counterpart.
What this means is for you is increased run-time from the battery with no
additional bulk or weight. NiMH also offers another major advantage: NiCad
batteries tend to suffer from what is called the "memory effect". NiMH batteries
are less prone to develop this problem and thus require less maintenance and
conditioning. NiMH batteries are also more environmentally friendly than NiCad
batteries since they do not contain heavy metals (which present serious landfill
problems).
Will my original wall charger work with this battery?
Yes, this battery will work just like the battery that came with your
transceiver. It's the same size and form factor and can use the same wall
charger that came with your radio.

Excellent product at competitive price by John from Tillicoultry Great Britain
Review: An excellent product providing greater capacity hence longer radio use even when imported from the States. Beats the cost of having the old battery re-celled
