Q: I am seeing conflicting information about the HMEC-45-CAP both on your web-site and the Sennheiser web-site. In one place on your website, you state it has an XLR5 connector yet in another place you specify it has a PJ-type connector. On the Sennheiser web-site it pictures a XLR-5 but under features it states the connector is a PJ-type 5-pin connector. Could you please clearify which connector this has. We are looking for this model with an XLR-5 connnector.
A: Yes, the HMEC-45 is the variant with 5-pin XLR for microphone, headphone and power connections, 28 volt aircraft only. The newer HMEC-46-CP is also the same (5-pin XLR for microphone, headphone and power connections, 28 volt aircraft only).
