by Autumn from Erie PA USA
Pros: Has been a livesaver when travelling Cons: Hard to use sitting and wearing slacks. Review: Is a wonderful product for my daughter who is wheelchair bound. The problem is that you need to wear a skirt because they are almost not usable if you are sitting and wear slacks. We are now able to travel and not worry about getting her out of the wheelchair to use a restroom.

Works great in a pinch! by 122889 from Orlando FL USA
Pros: convenient and sanitary Review: I bought this product for my husband who is in Iraq. Before I found this product in order to relieve his bladder in the middle of the night he had to get dressed and walk in the dark to a portable potty. The other alternative many use is going in an empty gatorade bottle, sometimes it was a pain because you might have to use 2 bottles and most guys would understand this process. Since my husband has received these bags he says they work great and hold a lot. He is happy with the product and it won me a few brownie points!

Priceless by A Customer from Richmond VA USA
Pros: Easy to use and quiet - (no sound of urine hitting water) Cons: None Review: If you are a lady and camping out this is absolutely priceless. We participate in historical reenactments. 100 men, 10 ladies, 2 portapotties. Nightmare. At 2 in the morning, a cold tent, and a long walk in the dark to the portajohn makes this product worth its weight in gold.

Home is where the need is -- never mind traveling! by A Customer from San Francisco CA USA
Pros: convenience, ease of use and disposal. Urine odor gone almost immediately. Cons: Have larger pack sold at better bargain Review: Problem: Two housemates, one bathroom down the hall; urinary frequency (every three-to-four hours) and urgency (gotta go NOW!). Solution: Travel John. I just pick up a Travel John at bedside or deskside and take care of it and go back to sleep or continue whatever I was doing. This is the second 18-Pack I've used -- the first covered all my "peemergencies" for nine months -- and the feeling of security alone is worth the price. I am nearly 70 years old and have been looking for something like this for decades so I am delighted to have found Travel John.

Don't laugh, they really work by A Customer from Mountain Ranch CA USA
Pros: easy fit for anyone. for women fits so there are no leaks especially in small aircrafts where you have no room to stand, Cons: only that you have to resort to using one Review: Meets all expectations. If you have to use something up there, this is the best without fear of making a mess. Each one comes with tissue and wet wipe

An item you never really knew you needed so much by A Customer from Skagit, WA USA
Pros: They don't spill Cons: None that I know of yet Review: These are great to have in the car just in case. Great for small kids too. We only have one bathroom at home on the first floor but the bedroom is on the second and after giving birth I was told not to take the stairs and take it easy for the first couple days so these will help me stay up in my cozy bed with my newborn rather then stuck on the couch!

These things work! by Al from Portland OR USA
Pros: They are really convenient, easy to store, and hold a lot of pee without getting stinky (at first) Cons: 1. If you have a lot of pee in you, you may need two 2. They're biodegradable apparently, but is the plastic rim? 3. Don't fill them too full or they won't absorb anymore... best kept at say, 3/4 to 7/8 volume before discarding 4. Leave them around long enough and they'll smell really bad. If you are camping and unable to dispose of them easily, bring some big Zip-lock bags or trash bags to seal them in into. Review: They really do what they say they'll do -- make your pee into a gelatinous substance...

travel john by Gloria J. from Ashland City TN USA
Pros: It felt secure to know you had a place to go when in dior need. For instance, if stuck on the highway because of an accident, delays, etc. Cons: Need bigger bags to hold more, and another bag to put it into to be more discreet. Review: As a traveling truck driver for women, you can't use it while the other driver is in motion. He hits the brakes, and you're spilled, so-to-speak. The bag should be bigger for larger amounts. As a truck driver, you could fill a bedpan fast. Most of the time, there's not enough rest areas within distance. It came in real handy when unloading the truck. You have to be stopped to make it work. However, I rolled with the punches while winding down the hills. When you gotta go, you gotta go!!!

I have used this for years on week long bike rides by Gerry the cyclist from Atlanta
Pros: East to use, no smell, ample capacity Review: I am not a pilot but a bicyclist. Riding accross Georgia each year and spending nights in a tent. There are Porta-Potty units on site but not necessarily close by. I never have to leave the tent at night and can get right back to sleep. One a night is enough. Wouldn't be without them. Also great to keep in the car when traveling for kids or old men like me.

Pros: It is worth the cost and very easy to use. Fits in hand before opening, no leaks. Review: Imagine being in the outback in Australia...having to choose between a lethal snake bite WHERE IT HURTS or a wonderful, sanitary, discrete product when you've got to go go go! Good for kids, siabled, adults in limited circumstances (stadiums). This Travel John is a beaut.

(Nearly) Perfect for the Man Who Refuses to Stop... by Jon from Philadelphia, PA
Pros: Small, easy to use. Cons: Maybe not always useful for grown women. Review: No, I don't mean I use these myself. That's what empty Snapple bottles are for, right? These are for my seven year old daughter, so I'm not stopping to land a half hour after we depart on a three hour trip. My wife tried a couple times to use this product, but found it rather difficult to relax enough, given the circumstances. Get a few and leave them in the plane -- I joke, but there are times the WX en route does not lend towards safely making a comfort stop.

One Important Step by A Customer from Westford MA USA
Pros: Compact and functions well. Review: Loved the product because it is functions exactly as described and is small enough to fit discreetly in my "special travel pack". No more wondering if a ride in the car is going to be too long for comfort - especially where fascilities are rare!
As a female, there is still the issue of a having little privacy. I wish this company would team up with one that might make a completely collapsible, "pop-up" type screening cubicle for emergency "side of the road" situations.

A rose is a rose by Robert from Midway GA USA
Pros: Small storage size and riged opening Cons: Ridged opening that can't be sealed even though it probably won't leak Review: Call this what you may, pidal pak, flight extender, p-bag or porta john... The Travel John is much better then the Govt' issued version. I bought these for the two to three hour flights in the "companies" helo's. I now have them for all my vehicals for the wife and I(my wife would kill me if she knew I told you this), it helps between the fuel stops.

I will buy this product again and again by The Jaywalker from Denver, CO
Pros: Aways there when I got to go. Cons: sometimes I got too much to hold Review: I am a Truck Driver who uses this product alot. I uses it in areas that have no place to go and lots of security cameras all over. Sometimes you have to wait 3 to 5 hours to be unloaded. It's now no problem. Theb only problem that I do have is, sometimes I wait too long and I go over the limit. (My problem, not there.)

Must-Have Item for Burning Man by Al from Portland, OR
Pros: Neat, relatively odorless, compact, super-convenient. Cons: They tend to leak when filled too full or near capacity. Seal them in Ziplocs to prevent funkiness. Review: For nights when you simply don't want to leave your tent to go to the porta-potty, and you have some serious peeing to do, the Travel John is a must-have. I never burn without it.

Great for truckers by A Customer from IL
Pros: Great Review: I'm a lady trucker. I have a refridgerated trailer I pull and a lot of customers have parking but no facilities. Not good. I have ovarian cycts and sometimes even when parked up front near the truck stop I can't get out of bed due to the pain when I need to go. This has saved me when I don't have a restroom or can't hardly move to get to it. I've recommended it to all my friends and when I soon start training drivers I will recommend it to them too.

by A Customer from New Haven, Ct. area
Review: Tried them for the first time. I think they should open to size more easily. I'm confined to a wheelchair and find a lot of spillage. It doesn't open enough by the stream pressure alone. I use them at the casino as when I go there, it's for 6-7 hours. Hopefully I will get better at it with practice. So far, it's the only practical alternative. I will keep using them until something better comes along. "The casino's dont have plastic coin cups anymore". !!!!
P.S. I never thought the day would come that it would cost me $ 1.80 to urinate.

Perfect for disabled persons at night. by A Customer from San Francisco Bay Area, California
Pros: Convenient to use in bed, no spills. Cons: Expense Review: My wife is disabled and cannot walk without aid. At night, it is very difficult and painful for her to make her way to the bathroom. Travel John has been a lifesaver by making it possible for her to take care of her needs while still sitting in bed.

Fabulous by A Customer from cabot arkansas
Review: The travel johns are ideal for females. I use them for camping in the wilderness to keep from making that trip to the toilet in the middle of the night. I also keep one in the car with me in the winter time when getting stranded or delayed by ice conditions and you have absolutely no place to relieve youself except on the side of the road for all to see.

Terrific invention - don't leave home without it. by Kat from Lafayette, CO
Pros: Having these means I can literally go anywhere anytime. Cons: Found no cons. Review: I always keep these in my Jeep and ALWAYS take them when hiking and tent camping. Extremely easy to use. Amazing how they can be full of 'liquid' and when turned upside down, there is no spill or leak. Well worth the money.

Great for Kayakers too by Ron S from Portland, Oregon
Pros: They gel quickly, hold a lot of liquid are small, individually wrapped, water proof until needed and easy to open. Cons: would like built in way to close them up tight after use, just in case Review: I was more than a little sceptical about trusting a full bladder to a baggy of ???powder. I am no longer a sceptic regarding this. I have only used two of the Travel John and they work !! (at least for a guy) No need to exit the boat and find a secluded spot. I can just pretend I'm looking for some gear in my cockpit;-)

This allows us to sleep through the night ! by Dave from Simi Valley, Ca
Pros: Works great Cons: none Review: Our thirty-one year old son is confined to a wheel chair and lives at home with us. In the evening when we are asleep we can't help him walk to the bathroom. He uses your Travel John in in the trash can they go until the morning. It lets us , his parents, get the sleep we need.
The price is a little steep, but how much are you willing to pay for sleep?

Pros: powdered gel was impressive. Cons: Wish could slip inside slacks better. Review: I am a female and use the urinal while on our boat.I found it to be very efficient.I was impresed with the gel and how quickly it formed to prevent a spill. I do wish I did not have to remove most of my pants to efficiently use your product. The fit was good. I would use this product again.

by C.S.C. de Cantú from Metepec, Estado de Mexico, Mexico.
Pros: Brings Freedom and Peace of Mind. Cons: NONE Review: I am not a pilot. However this product for me brings freedom and peace of mind. I am a female diagnosed with MS. One of my problems has to do with urgency and incontinency which means that I must be near facilities, and by extension cannot take long motor trips without worrying. Carrying the Travel John wherever I go has allowed me to go out more frequently, for longer trips, and enjoy it!

Review: FEMALE passenger put this product to the test in an urgent situation on a packed Piper Archer!
During a flight with my husband and his instructor, I felt the urge and realized I'd either need to ask my husband to land, wet myself or try the Travel John. Considering we were about to enter a traffic pattern for a touch-and-go, the latter seemed the most reasonable choice. As a female passenger I was fully aware of the lack of "machinery" I had to work with and wondered if the Travel John could live up to the promise of working for everyone... I had no choice. I had to try it and do it as quickly, quietly and as privately as possible!
Well, well, well. The Travel John did live up to the promise. I was not only able to use the product without "machinery" but use it while sitting down, with little room to adjust. All the while being discreet, private and without wetting myself (which would have happened if I didn't have the Travel John anyway) Additionally, the instructions on the Travel John were clear and easy to follow, which was extremely important because I was stressed and could not "hold it" anymore. I didn't have time to do anything else but open the package and get the jist of how the thing worked.
Even after filling the bag, I was able to fit it into the end pocket of my husbands flight bag until I culd toss it later.
I told my husband after the flight what I had accomplished, without either pilot in front of the plane knowing. It was a proud moment...
AN ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE FOR WOMEN, MEN AND CHILDREN IN PLANES AND CARS. I highly recommend the 18 pack!

Review: This product has to be one of the best inventions om the market. I am a truckdriver who found Traveljohn to be a lifesaver.Stuck in city traffic cant find an exit with truck parking, sitting in line to get unloaded it works anywhere.Easy to use, clean, throw it in a trash can. I wish they were sold in truckstops and travel plazas so we could cut down on all the pop bottles you see on the side of the road these days. Thanks again,
