Jeppesen SIMCharts 3.0
SIMCharts by Jeppesen is innovative software that allows Microsoft Flight
Simulator 2004 users the ability to sort, view, and print realistic Jeppesen
terminal charts (SIDs, STARs, Approaches, and Airport Diagrams). All of the
terminal charts for a particular coverage area are contained on a convenient and

SIMCharts is designed as a stand-alone application (except in the case of
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004). In other words, the preferred and logical
method is to insert the desired SIMCharts coverage area CD into your computer
prior to your simulator flight. You then launch the SIMCharts application. The
SIMCharts viewer will appear along with the airports and SIMCharts list boxes.
By searching for and selecting the desired airport, you will then see the list
of available SIMCharts for that airport. You simply click on the desired
SIMChart and it will appear within the viewer as well. In addition, with the
selected SIMChart being displayed, you can zoom in or out of the chart as well
as print it for use when flying on your flight simulator.
Designed strictly for flight simulation use, SIMCharts v3.0 provides easy
access to the approach plates, airport diagrams, SIDs/DPs and STARs for almost
any airport in the world. SIMCharts provides worldwide coverage — simply select
the desired coverage area(s) during installation, view and print the desired
charts and get ready for takeoff.

Pros: Clear, consise and accurate
Cons: Buy these and you'll want all 9 Regions.
Review: IF you want to practise instrument procedures in FS 2004 then these charts are indispensable. They print out beautifully with great clarity. The airport diagrams help you find your way around even the most complex airports. Never get lost on the ground again.

I'm not happy with product

Review: It only allowed me to choose 2 regions, China was already selected. According to Jeppson, they are supporting this product any more.

Review: The product excels at producing IFR charts only. Sometimes I need navaid information and fall back to SimPlates which can search on any type of navaid which SimPlates cannot.

Review: I think unlocking several more regions simulateneously would be nice. Also the ability to unlock regions automatically as you fly in FS2004 would be a neat feature. More integration with FS2004 where the geography of the aircraft is automatically detected by simcharts is a nice enhancement.

These will not work with Flight Simulator X. You would need the version 4 that is only available through Jeppesen directly.

You would need to purchase three copies of this three-region CD to unlock all nine regions.

There are nine different regions available: Eastern United States, Central United States, Western United States, Canada/Alaska, Latin America/South America, Pacific/South Pacific, Europe, Eastern Europe/Middle East/Asia and Africa. Each region is detailed on the product page.
If you get the one (1) region package you will be able to "unlock" any one of the nine regions above. If you get the three (3) region package you will be able to unlock any three of the nine regions above. Once you have unlocked a region you will not be able to re-lock it and change regions.
