Review: I first purchased a Van Heusen Aviator SS shirt several years ago at a airport pilot store. I liked the quality of the material and the fit. Needless to say comfort was a big part in my seeking more shirts when my previous group of shirts were wearing out. The shirts lasted about four years. I searched online and found mypilotstore.com. I was extremely satisfied to see the price was about the same as the first bunch I bought. I have since then purchased shirts on two separate occasions. Cons: Epaulets bend when your arms move at certain angles over your head.
Review: The shirt is definately a good product, however, be cautious of the size you get it. Buying it the same size I normally wear, it's a bit tight. It's a very good shirt, looks professional, has a pocket in the front large enough to store cards, tags, pens, and so on.
One thing to note is that your epaulets will bend when wearing this shirt if you move your arms at certain angles.

Review: I have been wearing the Van Heusen Aviator shirt for 23 years in my airline career. Our airline buys us 2 per year (I get mine here at MyPilotStore instead of the comapny outlet). I have shirts that are over 10 years old in my closet (I know because I use a laundry marker to label them by the year purchased). With proper care (a wash in warm or hot water with a light or medium starching keeps them fresh and helps resist stains) the 10 year old shirts look as good today as the new shirts. The cotton/poly mix is a good balance between comfort and durability, even here in the warm desert climate.

Review: Nice shirt. About what I expected. Priced right. However, appartently pilots are expected to be rather trim. Yes, I take a 17" which would normaly place me in the XL size. This shirt is cut straight without a pleat in the back. Therefore, somewhat tight around the middle. Especially when one sits. I have to unbuttton one button to be comfortable sitting. A little more cloth would raise my opinion to 4 or maybe 5 stars.

PINK!?? I don't think so

Review: Ordered 6 of these shirts, and all six have a slight pink hue/tinge to them. I washed a few of them, just to see if the color remained. It did. I have ordered the Commander shirt before, I was much happier with the quality of that shirt, and it was white, which in all honesty was a preferred color for this profession! :) It will be interesting to see how mypilotstore handles my replacements. I'll post accordingly on the site (if they let me).

Inferior to M&H Uniform Shirts

Review: Although the Aviator shirt has a nice fitted cut, the quality of the material is poor. I bought three short-sleeve Aviators to replace shirts by M&H, my company's supplier. The Aviator's 65%polyester, 35%cotton material is thin, a little rough, and neither irons or withstands wrinkles as well as my M&H shirts. The shirt does wash well in machines. The collar is smoothly and firmly bonded. There is no extra button included. The Aviator does have a pen hole in the left pocket. Unfortunately, the hole is approximately 1.5" wide and lacks a pen-sleeve inside the pocket. This may be fine for big Mont Blanc pens with clips but thin ballpoints from hotel rooms tend to fall sideways, disappearing into the pocket. Lastly, the top crease of the sleeve bisects the epaulet. This looks smart but makes precise pressing difficult. When folded and packed, the shirtsleeve tends to crease again from the back of the epaulet. My next shirts will be M&H. They may be blousy in cut, but they iron well and I do not lose my pens.

Fabric too thin

Pros: Quick delivery is very much appreciated. Pricing of products are very reasonable and freight pricing understandable.
Cons: Some of the women's blouses are made of a slightly different material and not as stark white. Not a show stopper - just noticed the difference between the men's and women's shirts.
Review: I buy these shirts based on the size the members give me. I've only had to return a shirt once - if that, due to sizing miscalculations. These shirts are true to size. The stark white color - stays that way without bleaching. The military press from the cleaners holds through 2-3 wearings with very little touch up. I've never had a faulty material situtation. The members are very pleased with your product because of the above mentioned details.
