The NorthStar Trainer is a flight control training model Flight Instructors can use to help their students visualize the dynamics of flight. Control surface deflections can be used to visually correlate the effects of control inputs and the resulting aircraft response. Concepts difficult to describe can be easily demonstrated and discussed using the NorthStar Trainer. The mental pictures are then easily recalled in the cockpit and applied to the flight maneuvers at hand. In addition, pilot & flight instructor applicants can use these models to demonstrate to FAA Examiners their knowledge of aircraft control and performance. The model is made of lightweight plastic and has a 16 inch wingspan. All control surfaces are attached with flexible metallic tape (extra set included) for ease of maneuvering and can be assembled for use within minutes.
