Low to High Impedance Adapter

This adapter converts a low impedance mic and phone military headset into higher impedance for use in general aviation aircraft. It also converts the U-174/U plug on the military headset into .206" and .25" plugs used in general aviation; 3' in length.
This will not work with the David Clark H10-76. If you want to
convert a H10-76 or H10-76XL you will need the
electret mic and
the JB-08 adapter.

On Wednesday, April 02, 2008 a customer asked:
Q: I have a military helmet with a u93a/u plug that I want to adapt to general aviation radios. What adapter do I need? Thanks roger
A:
Which headset model do you have? If you have the David Clark H10-76 you will need the David Clark H10-76 Conversion Kit. Otherwise, you should be able to use this adapter for the conversion.
On Monday, September 10, 2007 a customer asked:
Q: Hi. I have a mil-spec version of the Bose X headset that I'd like to use in commercial aircraft (BE-400). Will this adaptor work with the Bose X headset? Thanks.
A:
We have not specifically tested this adapter with the Bose Military headset, but it should work. If not, we have a 30-day return policy.
On Wednesday, September 05, 2007 a customer asked:
Q: Hello,
why will this adapter not work with the H10-76? Would it work if I use another low impedance mic with the H10-76, or is there another reason?
Many thanks,
Christoph Zimmermann
A:
No, this will not work for a David Clark H10-76. Instead, you will need the 1142-22 Electret Mic found here: http://www.mypilotstore.com/mypilotstore/sep/2162 and the JB-08 adapter that is linked from that page.
