alot of information in one package

Pros: Covers allot of ground in a small package for the price
Cons: Does not include sample test
Review: All of the information on these are good information. I found for myself that you can retain the information better if you listen to the same cd a couple of times before moving on to the next topic. Might be helpful to add some direction on how too go about learning this information. I also was expecting to have the practice test included with this package and found it was not included.

I thought it was an excellent support product for the book material

Pros: The chapter on FARs was awesome instead of trying to learn them by just simply reading
Cons: None
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed having this product as a supplement to the book material. Obviously some of the information that requires some graphics to discuss cannot be fully explained but for items that don't require graphics, it was extremely helpful.

It is great for listening to while driving to/from work but PAY ATTENTION because almost every word spoken is important to know. The authors did a great job of condensing a lot of information into concise descriptions

Some good informaiton

Pros: Audio format good for listening while driving for review.
Cons: Not complete, poor quality production.
Review: I recieved Gleim's Private Pilot Audio Course (CD) in hope of listening to it while driving the many miles I do each week. It was informative, but there were MANY places that the narration stopped in mid sentence leaving the information with SEVERAL blanks to be filled from other sources. Overall, I was able to learn some from the CD's, but this is not a product I would recommend to someone else. Since the purchase of this series, I did find others which were MUCH MORE BENEFICIAL. This might be more beneficial as part of the Gleim package, not as a stand-alone product.

Very Helpfull

Review: This is great for me since I have a 40 minute drive to / from work each day. As you might expecte it falls short when describing the use of various types of graphs especially performance charts.

Good resource for those who drive but...

Review: It is a good resource for those who drive to and from work like myself but there are several chapters where you actually need to refer to written material. The CD set does not come with any written material. It encourages you to buy Gleim pilot training books and refers to items in the books at several places throughout the lecture series. For those chapters where you absolutely have to look at tables or graphs, listening to the CDs while driving or doing any other activity except looking at those graphs/tables is not going to teach you much. But other than that, i think it is a valuable learning tool.
