He was inducted into the Flight Instructor Hall of Fame in 1998. His son, William C. Kershner, was soloed by his father, and holds Flight Instructor and Airline Transport Pilot certificates. He has flown 22 types of airplanes in his over 10,000 hours of flight time, ranging from Cessna 150s to Boeing 777s.

Wednesday, May 27, 2009 Great Read by Tommy from Lexington NC USA  Pros: Easy to read. Cons: Some items, such as VOR's need more detail, but that might be a good thing. Review: Very good information in the book. Explainations were concise and clear, which made it easy to read without being confusing. A good thing for a beginning student.
