On Top PCATD
ASA's On Top PCATD combines the power and flexibility of the On Top software
with aviation's most realistic flight controls, a complete instructional guide
and an integrated ground and flight training syllabus, to make a loggable
package for Part 61 and Part 141 instrument students.
PC-based IFR simulation is becoming the accepted method of initial
instrument training and procedures practice for students and pilots. Up to 10
hours can be logged towards the instrument rating with the On Top PCATD, plus an
unlimited amount of ground training hours. Complex procedures such as NDB
intercepts, intersection holds with gusting winds, and in-flight, realistic
instrument or systems failures can be performed, analyzed and replayed. By
mastering these skills on the ground, students can cut significantly into the
time and cost of traditional flight training.

- On Top V. 8.0 - ASA's highly rated personal proficiency software. Includes
10 aircraft.
- PFC Cirrus yoke and rudders - The smoothest and most durable with dampened
response for the most realistic controls available. Yoke includes six
programmable buttons and electric pitch trim.
- PFC throttle quadrant - has both three- and six-lever attachments, gear
and flap switches pair with a rugged, fully realistic quadrant.
- AV-1 - Avionics panel from ASA and Precision Training Software - Precision
design gives users lifelike control of cockpit functions in On Top and IP
Trainer. Includes operation of avionics, switches, heading bugs and CDIs.
- The Pilot's Manual Instrument Rating Syllabus - For an integrated
ground and flight training program.
- On Top PCATD System and Instructor's Guide - includes a quick start
guide, details for implementing PCATDs into a flight training program, and
important information for PCATD users.

Minimum Computer Requirements:
- Pentium-class processor (200 Mhz or faster for Win98/ME, 300MHz or faster
for Win2000/XP)
- Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP
- DirectX Version 8.1 or later, (DirectX V.8.1 is included on the OT8 CD).
- 64MB RAM (Win98/ME), 128MB (Win2000/XP)
- 20-35MB harddrive space, depending on the type of installation performed.

- 800x600 SVGA video adapter and monitor
- Windows DirectX-compatible sound card and speakers
- Mouse
- Joystick or yoke
