MyBigKneeboard for Tablets

The MyBigKneeboard is a tablet and smartphone kneeboard for use with almost any tablet or smartphone with dimensions from 3 inches (7.5 cm) to 12 inches (30 cm) and a thickness (including case) up to .95 inches. This is the product to choose if you want to keep your tablet in your everyday case when flying or if you are using an armored case such as the Otterbox or Lifeproof case.

This new design allows the plastic clips to be adjusted to accommodate many different size tablets and phablets. The clips can hold a Galaxy Note in portrait mode all the way up to a full size iPad in the landscape mode. With this kind of versatility, upgrading your tablet will not require a change of kneeboard.

Designed and engineered by pilots, this is one of the most versatile and compact kneeboards on the market. From the humble cockpits of the GA community to the cockpits of fighters and the flight decks of commercial airliners, tens of thousands of our product are in use MyClipKneeboard around the world.

I did buy this again, after losing my first one!
by Heath from Kuttawa KY USA

Pros: Comfortable, easy to use, not bulky at all.
Cons: None, other than looking down to see my tablet rather than on a more eye level mount.
Review: Does a great job of holding my 10.1" LG GPAD on my leg. I lost my first one and missed it greatly. So, I bought another!

It performs exactly as described.
by Marc, C-152 owner from Leesburg FL USA

Pros: folds up very compact and fits into flight bag easily without extra weight.
Cons: Need to be very careful that clasps that hold the ipad to the straps do not interfere with buttons.
Review: I thought there would be more to the product, but in reviewing the website, I got exactly what they advertised.

Works Well
by A Customer from Virginia Beach VA USA

Pros: Simple, works
Cons: Velco-only closure
Review: Simple, works well. My iPad ia in a thick Pivot case, and this handles it well. I don't know how long the velcro will work, but for now it's just what I needed.

by A Customer from Wisconsin
Pros: Inexpensive. Adjustable for multiple items useful to pilots.
Review: This item actually works great. It takes some doing to find the best adjustment for whatever it's hoding, but is very useful. I also use it for a small 3 ring binder holding approach plates.

Very light and simple, but works
by Graham from Houston TX USA

Pros: Light, simple, works.
Cons: Unknown lifetime of elastic
Review: A very light weight simple product, but so far it has done its job without problems. I have used it 3 times. I have used it with my iPad Air without a cover, which is very thin, although it is supposed to cope with thick covers. My only concern is the lifetime of the elastic, but I would expect a year or two of constant use.

Works well
by Marshall from Johns Island SC USA

Pros: Stays secure and out of the way of the collective
Cons: None
Review: I use it to hold my IPad Po while flying R22 and R44 helicopters. It's the best I have found to hold my IPad in a helicopter do to the vibration

by Richard from Montrose CO USA
Pros: Simple, effective, doesn't take much room, can be worn on one leg with a note-pad on the other.
Cons: Angle of view totally determined by leg position.
Review: Holds an iPad Air-2 inside an Otterbox Defender (thick) case quite well. Simple to attach and take off and when off it doesn't take up much space in a flight bag; iPad and strap fit inside my headset bag. That said, the iPad, perhaps due to movement appeared to freeze up and revert to default modes (e.g. track direction)and I had to tilt it up every time I looked at it to see the screen avoiding glare, so will try a yoke mount soon.

Just Right!
by Rich from Graham NC USA

Pros: Simple
Cons: None
Review: I'm a rotorcraft pilot and occasional fixed wing guy so I definitely didn't need a yoke mount. I set out in search of a "simple" solution to mount my iPad mini to my leg that wouldn't have pockets and such hanging off either side to interfere with the collective and cyclic inputs. This product hooks snugly onto the Otterbox case, is simple, and easily adjustable-I just keep it in my helmet bag. Flying under NVG's is good as well and I can look under the goggles for a glance and back up with my eyes and drive on. No clutter! There's a time and place for bulkier knee boards but this works for me.

MyBigKneeboard for tablets
by Charlie from Spokane, WA

Pros: Does what it claims.
Cons: Construction is questionable.
Review: Partially met my expectations. What detracts from an excellent evaluation is that the sewing is already coming undone. I have used MyBigKneeboard fewer than six times! This is a production quality issue. In terms of functionality, the strap does what it claims: It holds the larger tablets and can be strapped onto one's thigh.

Love this product!!
by Ellen from The Villages FL USA

Pros: easy to use
Cons: none
Review: This is my 2nd kneeboard and they're wonderful. I use it for my tablet, for my portable GPS, for my notepad with airport information. It's certainly easier and safer than attaching the GPS to a suction cup which falls off with the vibrations and heat.

Not an actual kneeboarding.
by Jerry from Ocala FL USA

Cons: Cost
Review: Works good, but is a little pricy for just a strap

Love this kneeboard!!
by Ellen from The Villages FL USA

Pros: Fits everything I want to use; easy to carry around.
Review: I bought the large kneeboard and my iFly GPS fits, my tablet fits, or my notepad fits. I may get a second one for the other leg so I can use a GPS in one and notepad in the other! Great product!!

Works as advertised
by Don from Richmond Hill ON Canada

Pros: nothing to stowe in your flight bag.
Cons: knee board glare as with any such device.
Review: I have a full sized iPad with a Unicorn protective case. This knee board does exactly what it should. Easy on and off...the "clip" holds the iPad only when it's on your knee. As with any knee board style tablet holder, reflection is a problem that buying a small tablet and mounting on the yoke would beat. I like the full size iPad for non aviation use though.

Works great for tablets in cases
by LW from Tucker GA USA

Pros: Works exactly how it should.
Cons: Might not work as well with thin tablets not in cases.
Review: If you have a thick tablet, or just don't want to take your tablet out of its case to use it as a knee board, then this item will work great for you. I can keep my tablet in its case with the flap folded behind, and it locks firmly in place on my leg. I fly in a very open cockpit, and there are no issues with my tablet not being secure.

Excellent, could not asked for any thing better.
by Michael from Newton AL USA

Pros: Fits well and easy to adjust.
Cons: Clip holders could be a little wider apart because of my tablets controls
Review: I really thinks it's cool. It's easy to move out of the way when landing and you don't want anything in your way.

MyBigReview
by Greg from Altamonte Springs FL USA

Pros: Well thought out and constructed. Easily adapts from iPad to iPad Mini 3.
Cons: Little loose feeling in the clip. No angle adjustment
Review: Performs as expected. There is a slight bit of slack in the tablet attachment strap/clip assembly. Other than that, it fit and works as expected. I had a concern that the iPad Mini I was using would impede operation of the yoke. This was not the case. Using the KneeBoard in an open cockpit plane, I did have a concern about wind, which I found to be a non-issue during the first flight. I use it all the time now.

Great Product
by Mike from South Lyon MI USA

Pros: Easy to adjust the IPad in the holder.
Cons: Hard to fasten to your leg when sitting
Review: I use it with my iPad Air in a Lifeproof case. Holds on great and is ease to adjust the holders on the case once it is strapped on. Only issue that I have is that the Velcro fastens behind your leg, so when you are sitting in the plane it is hard to get it on and adjusted. Would be nice if it fastened on the side instead.
