CN-3 Vertex SMA to BNC antenna adaptor by Mark from Paradise NL Canada
Pros: good fit and finish Cons: long shipping time Review: The product met my expectations. Shipping to east coast Canada was about 4 weeks. Fit to the radio perfectly the first try. Haven't tried it in the airplane yet, but looks promising.

On Monday, March 02, 2009 a customer asked:
Q: I recently purchased a Vertex VXA-710. I see that you offer a Vertex SMA to BNC antenna adaptor. Is it possible to use this adaptor to connect to a rooftop antenna to receive aviation communications at a further distance. (I want to listen to improve my comm skills as a student pilot.) If this is possible, what antenna would I need? What antenna cabling would be necessary? Thanks.
A:
Yes, the BNC adapter can be used to connect the transceiver to a standard ground antenna. You should be able to find different antennas and cable at your local electronics store (i.e. Radio Shack).
