Review: The jacket is well made and looks very expensive . I just mailed it off to Florida for my grandson's Birthday . He will be 2 yrs old on March 24th. I already sent a picture ahead of time to my son to see if he liked it , and he says his Little Guy, Rocco Anthony already acts like a little Tom Cruise , so My Son says" Mom you did good!" !! And he will post a picture on FB when Rocco puts it on. SO I can't wait to see how it looks on Rocco. I also got him 2 pair of the Navigater Glasses to wear with his Jacket. (Black & Green)

The kids loved it

Review: We ordered two size 4-5 Bomber jackets and two pilots caps for our grandsons 4th and 5th birthdays. A little big for the 4-year-old, perfect fit for the 5-year-old.

The 4-year-old wasnt on his best behavior when he opened his. Am pretty sure he'll love it when he figures out what it is.

The 5-year-old was thrilled, put it on and spent the rest of the day being a pilot. Am almost sure hes never seen Hogans Heros, but when he saw himself in the mirror, he zipped the jacket all the way up, checked out the patches. Pulled the pilot cap down on his forehead, tilted it to the side, smirked and raised one eyebrow, fists on hips. Said, I am the man.

His sister, who will be 8 in June, was not happy and went to her room. I knocked on her door and asked what was wrong.

Boys get all the good stuff. I just get dumb girl clothes. Even my Legos are pink. Why cant girls be pilots and drop bombs?

I assured her they can and do. Am sure she'll love her bomber jacket and the girls fly too tee shirt when she gets them in June.

My Grandson loves his Bomber Jackets

Review: When my grandson was 2 years old we bought the size 4. He loved the jacket and it fit him well. Now that he is almost 4 years old, it is too short in the arms, so we passed the size 4 on to his younger cousin. We bought the size 6 and fits great and looks just like the first one. I expect it will last 2 years and be in great enough condition to pass it on again.

My Flight Crew loved their jackets

Review: I bought 4 of these jackets from size 3 to size 10/12. All of the boys loved them, from the baby to the 11 year old. Loved the airplane zipper pull and the map lining. The jackets are warm, but not heavy, perfect for a California winter/spring. Plenty of patches but they don't overwhelm the jacket. They are the boys favorite jacket.

Not just for Halloween

It has gotten too cold here in the NE, but it's a great jacket and he wore it to school and around town on milder days. He loves it! I'm sure it'll come out in the spring too. It does run small. He wears an 10/12 jacket right now and that's what I ordered. It fit him perfectly but we wouldn't get anymore time with it so we exchanged for a 14/16. Definitely order next size up.

a must for the future pilot!

Review: A must for any future pilot! My 5 1/2 year old loves this jacket! He is very tall for his age 75 to 90th percentile. I ordered a size 8 and it fits very well. He will definitely get at least one more year, and maybe two of use.

I ordered additional patches of his favorite plane the sr-71 blackbird, and zipper pulls of the blackbird and added them to the jacket. There is already an airplane zipper pull that comes with the jacket, and just added another.

Fabric looks like it might be prone to rips, the material seems pretty fragile, and but no problems yet. It's not like it's real leather and the price is great.

Overall, we are very pleased with the jacket so far.

Great Gift!

Review: I was looking for this jacket to replace a smaller one we had that was a hand-me-down. My 7 year old LOVES this jacket. I was thrilled to find it. This is the exact same one, map on the lining, jet zipper pull, patches. A bonus is that it's warmer than I expected - he wears it to the bus stop on snowy mornings and seemes to be fine - but then kids never seem to be cold. I wouldn't wear it in sub-freezing temps for any length of time.
We got the size 8 because we wanted it to last a couple years at least (my son is on the small side) and while the sleeves are a bit long, it fits fine. I am hoping the faux leather softens a bit after wear, our old one felt more like real leather. This one looks a bit cheap close up.
By the way, it isn't supposed to be washed, it's wipe clean only.

Review: My son loves his bomber jacket so much that we bought another to replace the original that he outgrew. He gets lots of favorable comments at Boy Scouts, American Legion, and Harley Owners Group events. Sure, it's not real leather, but it's a good tradeoff for the price and holds up very well for non-play use. With daily wear during mild N.C. winter months, we have no rips or tears in the original jacket (almost two years old), nor in the new one (almost two months old). I'm very happy with the product.

Review: My 8 year old son absolutely loves this jacket. It is very nice and reasonably priced. It looks so good on him, and doesn't feel cheap. It is light weight, so it is good for the fall, or if it is cold enough for a sweat shirt, this is a good alternative. I will say it really runs small. My son wears a size 8, he is 62 lbs and 52 inches tall. I oredered a 14/16 after I read a few of the reviews, and I am glad that I did. It is big on him in terms of length and width, but the sleeves are fine, so it doesn't look ridiculously huge on him. He will get a few years out of it. I think this is a fantastic buy and an awesome looking flight jacket. The inside is lined with a map which looks great, my son loves it!!!

Review: I just received this jacket, and my 8 year old son absolutely loves it! I agree with the reviews, it is a light weight jacket, but so what? I intend for it to be a spring, fall coat. It looks beautiful, everything I was hoping for and more. I did order a 14/16 and my son is tall, slim at 60 lbs. He is 8, and while the jacket is roomy around his waist, the sleeve length is perfect. I would highly recommemd ordering the larger size by possibly 2 sizes. My son usually wears a size 8, but the jacket is not swimming on him. He will definitely get a few seasons out of it. If your child is a fan of airplans, pilots or aviators, this is a great choice. The jacket seems to be well made, although I just took it out of the box so I can't stand behind any wear and tear just yet. I looked at many of these on line, and found this price to be the best by far, even in terms of the shipping. I would highly recommend this item, but be sure to order up a size or two!

Cons: too small, sizes run small. nowhere to go after 14/16
Review: My son, 8 years old, loved the bomber jacket. Look was authentic, having the cool patches was great. The only downside is that the sizing runs small. My son is tall for his age, therefore longer arms, but we purchased the 14/16 thinking we would still have some room to grow. He is 8 years old, and normally takes a size 12/14 in clothes (needing the length). It just fits him. Would be better to have more arm length. He would feel more comfortable. Therefore, he doesn't want to wear it too much, because he doesn't feel comfortable in it, but doesn't want me to return it, because its such a cool jacket. So, I guess we get pleasure looking at it hanging in his closet!

Review: It came really quickly and the price was great. My husband and I thought it looked a little cheap - ie, like the plastic that it is - not like leather that you want. However, our grandson LOVED it! He was thrilled and has been wearing it proudly ever since Christmas. Sizewize - the suggestions that you buy a bigger size are correct. He is 10 years old and wears size 10 in most clothes. The 14/16 fits nicely, on the larger side but, of course, you don't want it to be on the small side. He could possibly get another year out of it.

Review: I was hoping that the jacket would fit my son (six years old) a little on the loose side so he could wear it for at least one year. But, the jacket runs on the small side, and I don't think it will fit him in the Spring. I would expect a size 7 youth to fix an average sized boy age 6. My son loves the jacket and wears it almost everyday.

Review: Jacket definitely looks the part, fits well (on a small-framed 9 year old) and is well-made. Nice details in the zipper pull, patches, etc. It is not a heavyweight jacket, so we compensate by using a sweatshirt/hoodie underneath on very cold days.

My 7-year old loves this jacket!

Cons: Thin material and thin lining, about as warm as a sweatshirt, runs small.
Review: My son the WWI and WWII flying ace loves his new bomber jacket. We live in the mountains, and it is a lightweight, instead-of-a-sweatshirt weight. Not especially warm! So we just layer underneath. The map lining is really cool, and the patches are the big draw. The outer material is very thin vinyl (again, not so warm), but the fleece collar helps a lot. Don't buy this to keep your kid warm; buy it to feed his imagination. And when you do, buy a size larger at least--my son wears a size 7, and we bought a 10-12. It's a bit big, but he can wear it through the next growth spurt!

A big hit!

Cons: This jacket is suitable for a winter jacket in warm places like N. Florida.
Review: The jacket is well made and beautiful. My six year old grandson was very pleased. I followed the advice on size and purchased a 10-12, The fit is perfect. This child wears size 7 jeans and 7 in a shirt. While somewhat light weight, with the addition of a hoodie or sweater would do for some northern areas.

No problems whatsoever with mypilotstore.com; they were quick to ship. The jacket is very well made. And not just "stylish", but practical too - my son is quite warm in it. Heed the notice that they tend to run small. My son is a size 7/8 and I ordered a size 10/12... it fit's pretty good with just a smidgen of room to grow into.

This was the find of the year!

My child LOVES his jacket.

The most wonderful gift!

Review: The first jacket I ordered (sz.4/5) would have been too small for a four yr. old. so I saved it and ordered a sz. 6/7 for him. He won't take it off! He is so thrilled. If I could change anything I would have the option of a velcro name tag. "Go for a larger size than what is normally worn."

Review: My grandson loves it. He grew out of one we had purchased at Sears years ago for the older grandson who then passed it down to him. This one has more patches on it, and he loves it. I am glad that I bought a size 7 even though he only wears a size 5. It seems small and just fits him now--I'm hoping it will still fit through the fall and spring. So, I feel that I paid a bit much for one season of wear.

Review: We just love the jacket and it was definately the best price that we were able to find. We were gratefull for the other reviews that warned us to buy a larger size. My son wears a shirt size 8 and a winter coat size 10. I bought the pilot jacket in a 14/16 and it fits well, with just a little room to grow. The coat is a faux leather and not real warm,sort of an "in between" coat, but it looks adorable and my son thinks it's great/

Fantastic quality...buy this jacket!

Review: I looked at this jacket on other websites and found they were much more expensive. This jacket is a great value. It is very well made and my son loves it. It arrived very quickly. The only thing I would suggest, is to buy the jacket one size bigger than your child's clothing size. Bomber jackets are tight at the waist and cuffs and I felt he would need the extra room. This also allows them to wear a thicker shirt underneath without feeling restricted. I am glad I ordered the larger size. My son is an 8 and I ordered the 10. He will be able to wear it for a good while. I am thrilled with my purchase!

A great jacket for the future pilot

SIZE IS IMPORTANT

Review: After paying in total R800 (SA) for this item, which is very expensive, but in the light of it being something very special to my 12 year old son and being a birthday present, I ordered it. We ordered the jacket size 14-16 believing that it would be more than correct for his size, him being 12 and of average built, and might also still keep him for a while still to come. The jacket arrived being too small. What do we do? It now hangs in the cupboard and seems te be a total waste of money.

Good looking but no substance

Review: My son had this jacket as a hand-me-down and I loved it. When he outgrew it I ordered a new one. Not only does it run really small(as they state on the site) but the quality is no longer the same. They stopped adding the quilting in the lining which makes the jacket inappropriate for cooler weather. This makes no sense because it has the faux shearling collar which makes it look like a winter jacket. It looks really nice but I was disappointed with the lack of insulation.

One cool jacket!

Review: My 3rd grader was soooo excited to see that Santa brought him a bomber jacket. In fact, all his buddies at school love it too. Everyone likes the patches, the fuzzy collar, everything!
