FuelStik Airplane Fuel Quantity Tester

Take the Guess Work out of knowing how much fuel you have!

This new product fills the need for pilots to know how much fuel they have on board before take off.  No more getting frustrated while trying to read your homemade or straw type dip stick that give varied readings, unless the fuel in the tank is dead still, then drip out while trying to focus on the small hard-to-read numbers.

The FuelStik gives consistent readings in both pounds and gallons that you will learn to trust with it's use. Color coded 2 gallon increments, easy to read larger numbers, and steady readings are what you will experience with the FuelStik!

The FuelStik is not just for aircraft owners. They can be configured for almost any aircraft at your flying club or F.B.O. With one device you can either change the "Aircraft Specific" scales, or use the "Universal Scale" and compare the readings with a list that you have assembled for all the different aircraft you fly.

The design allows you to insert it into the tank in the same way as with straw type stick, then observe the quantity in both pounds and gallons outside the tank at the top of the device. Because of its restricted openings at the bottom, the indicator remains steady even if the fuel is sloshing in the tank. Quantities of ½ gallon can be determined.

Designed and built in the USA.

Great tool
by Michael from Sylmar CA USA

Pros: works well, ventillated case allows the gas to slowly evaporate without dripping
Cons: should have more scales available
Review: Easy to use. It was particularly easy for me to setup because a stock scale was available on the website that was close to what I was using.

Easy to use and very accurate
by Raul from Aurora CO USA

Pros: Works well
Cons: Most airplane models will not have a color graph
Review: I have a Cherokee Six and I had to make my own color insert which was time consuming. I emailed my calibration results to fuelstik who are supposed to make a color graph for you but they never responded. Other than that it has been very darn accurate and easy to use after the time consuming setup.

Great product
by Bruce from Leander TX USA

Pros: Readings appear to be correct
Cons: A bit large (long) to be carried in my flight bag.
Review: Using it for P28's. Right on reading using the supplied calibration. In fact my flying club is considering buying them for our 3 aircraft.

Now we know
by Jerry from Bridgeport WV USA

Pros: Easy to read, unbreakable
Cons: Have to download scale, cut it and carefully insert it in the tube. Then you must insert the cap without pushing the scale down in the tube. The position of the scale is critical for getting accurate readings.
Review: We decided to fuel the C182T to 25 gal/side in order to accomodate larger members, but the standpipe in the tank only goes down to 32 gal, and below that was unknown. We had one of the clear tubes which you hold your thumb over to pull out fuel, but it was marked in inches and who has time to fill the tanks with measured amounts to calibrate it? The FuelStik is easy to read, so every pilot will use it, and now we know how much fuel is in each tank. It is less sensitive than anticipated to slightly out of level conditions.

Love my Fuelstik
by Terry from Urbana OH USA

Review: Works great. only thing I had small issue with was the printed scale kept sliding down in the tube. Nothing a dab of glue didn't fix.

by Syd from Richfield, UT

Pros: WAY EASIER to use, FAST & REPEATABLE measurements
Cons: None yet.
Review: Instead of trying to see almost-clear fuel against tiny numbers in those siphon-straw tubes, this is what a fuel gage SHOULD be! The floating color-coded center part that sticks out of the body shows the quantity in the tank on a paper scale inside, just like advertised. WORKS FINE WHEN WEARING GLOVES(!) and just as easy to view when using a flashlight. They have paper scales already made up for a lot of planes, but for my Maule I had to calibrate one tank. They emailed back a neat scale to go into my gage once I had done that. You can see their calibration video at One more thing: with the aluminum rings on the ends of the gage, you would have to try really hard to lose one of these in your fuel tank! Take it from someone who knows how that is done....

Previous Customer Questions For FuelStik Airplane Fuel Quantity Tester:
Ask Your Own Question
On Friday, October 12, 2012 a customer asked:
How long is the gauge? Does the inside tube float somehow? I am trying to get an accurate gauge for a Maule m7

The FuelStik is 10.75" (273 mm) x 1.25" (32 mm)

On Saturday, October 06, 2012 a customer asked:
What is this FuelStik pre-calibrated for or is this the universal unit? I assume this is the "Master" that is offered? Thank you.
A: Yes, this is the universal or "Master" model.   You would just download and print the calibration for your particular aircraft.
