Good for review
by A Customer from West Palm Beach, FL

Pros: Good review, reference.
Review: My old flight instructor recommended this to me for reviewing for my BFR and instrument proficiency check. It reminded me of a lot of rules and procedures I didn't remember. I leave it in my plane, now.

A lot of info in a small package
by Joe from Sisters Oregon USA

Pros: A lot of IFR info
Cons: Somewhat limited for VFR pilots
Review: As an IFR pilot this book is full of good info. If you are only a VFR pilot it is limited.

Excellent book for summarizing important concepts
by A Customer from Seattle, WA

Pros: Direct, excellent review and referesher
Cons: Book should be supplemented by ground school or other books
Review: This is a good quality book. It provides some very concise information and yes, half of it is IFR-related, but provides good summaries for VFR pilots as well. I referenced this prior to my VFR checkride and think it is an excellent flight bag book for the size and content.

Good descriptions, good pictures
by A Customer from Manchester, NH

Pros: All you need
Review: This book takes the place of any other manuals I used to carry around.

Everything you need, nothing you don't
by A Customer from Boston, MA

Pros: Concise, comprehensive, well illustrated
Cons: The rules keep changing
Review: This book covers pretty much everything that a pilot would want to review, including every phase of planning and flight, and communications. It's been good for my BFR, and for recalling aspects of piloting that I once knew better than I do now. It's clear that some rules and details have changed since publication, but I looked at the book's website (listed in the preface), and there's a "changes" link. Most of the book is IFR related, and the non-professional instrument pilot is clearly the target audience. The tabs are convenient, and the book is small enough to take with you. Highly recommended.

Review: It would be very good if it didn't have so many errors...
