Great quality headset
by Jay127 from Alabama

Pros: Comfortable, reliable, good sound quality
Cons: None
Review: I purchased this H10-20 headset as a backup while my Lightspeed Sierra's were in for repair. Although these don't sport ANR like my lightspeed's they are definitely quiet. They are also very comfortable. I like the newer style headband. It is much more comfortable than the old style that used to come on these. The gel ear seals really make a big difference in blocking out more noise. I did purchase the cloth ear seal covers for mine and they do allow a little more noise through but it don't seem to be a significant difference although somewhat noticeable. As usual with a David Clark headset they are a little heavier than my Sierras and I would say that is one minor but very minor drawback. Nevertheless these are top notch quality as would be expected of anything from D/C. I definitely recommend these if your not looking to break the bank on a pair of ANR headsets that easily cost twice as much.

by Robert the Warrior! from Paragould AR USA

Pros: DC have been around a long time, they know how to build a good headset!
Cons: I couldn't fine anything wrong with this product.
Review: I have been using David Clark's for years now.I knew that the headsets would be good before I purchase them.  Everybody is wanting to go noise cancelling, they can be expensive. DC are money well spent.  I like the new foam cloth headrest, if I don't wear a cap, it felt great on my head. The ear pieces feel good on my ears too.

Review: I needed a second headset to replace a very old Skytech I kept for passengers. I bought the David Clark H10-20 again. The first one is about 4 years old and still works great. This one is identical in quality. The headset is comfortable, with very good sound quality. I would recommend the H10-20 highly.

Quality never goes out of style
by A Customer from Wichita, Kansas - USA

Pros: Quality of workmanship is outstanding. Nothing cheap here.
Cons: Just a tick heavy but still very comfortable...this won't be a problem unless you are going on a marathon XC. For routine local flying, I wouldn't use anything else.
Review: D.C. is keeping with its traditions...just doing it right. In the areas of form, fit, and function, this is a great buy for the price. Add an Oregon Aero hush kit, and you'll have a headset you won't even remember you are wearing. This simple add-on takes the H10-20 to a whole new level. It's a simple do-it-yourse upgrade that will give you a product that can easily compete with ANR's in the $1,000 market.

Previous Customer Questions For David Clark H10-20 Headset:
Ask Your Own Question
On Saturday, February 15, 2014 a customer asked:
Hello, What does the term Passive mean in regards to a headset? Thank you.
A: ANR (active noise reduction) headsets have additional electronic noise cancellation features while passive headsets rely only on the fit and seal created around your ears, via the ear seals, for their noise cancellation. Passive headsets contain no electronic components to reduce cabin sounds and are not battery powered.

On Saturday, November 24, 2012 a customer asked:
A friend has a pair of H10-20 headsets. What set would be compatible with them if one were to purchase 2 more to be used in a Cessna Skylane and a 172? Why so many different models? Is one better than the other?
A: Just about any fixed wing headset will work in the Cessna 172 along with the H10-20 that you already have.  As you have found, there are many different models available and the choices can certainly get overwhelming!  Generally speaking, the higher the price the better noise reduction and more features you will get.  Based on your note, it sounds like you need a fairly basic model that will just allow you to communicate while flying with your friend.  My recommendation would be to save a bit of money and go with a couple sets of the ASA HS-1A headset.  It's an inexpensive headset that still does a very good job and is comfortable to wear.  To make it even more comfortable, I would recommend adding the Gel Ear Seals.  They will make all the difference!  The double headset bag might also be a good idea.

On Sunday, November 18, 2012 a customer asked:
I have a H10-20 Headset P/N 12507G-29. I have them since about 1990, is noise canceling still adequate?
A: Yes, they should still have good passive noise reduction.  The best thing you can do to imporve / insure noise reduction is to get a new pair of Gel Ear Seals.  After time, these break down and become less effective at keeping the noise out.

On Wednesday, September 05, 2012 a customer asked:
Can you adapt an H10-20 to use in a helicopter also?
A: Yes you can use the Standard Fixed Wing Headset to Helicopter Adapter. With this adapter you will be able to use it in a helicopter.

On Monday, February 28, 2011 a customer asked:
Does your h10-20 headset come with a warranty?
A: Yes, all David Clark Headsets have a full five (5) year warranty.

On Tuesday, March 16, 2010 a customer asked:
Will this headset (dual plugs) fit all fixed wing aircraft (a Piper Archer or Cessna 172)?
A: Yes, it will fit any general aviation fixed wing aircraft with the standard dual plugs.

On Saturday, July 05, 2008 a customer asked:
I am a student pilot. Will this work with a Cessna 172?
A: Yes, this is a Fixed Wing headset that will work in a Cessna 172.

On Saturday, August 18, 2007 a customer asked:
how much do they weigh?
A: The H10-20 headset weighs 21 ounces.
