Top Reviews

  • Pros:
  • Review: I don't think that it was what I expected at all. It was very limited in operating and did not act like the real think at all. Very little help in learning the options on the Garmin 1000.

Faulty disk or corrupt software?

  • By Bernhard from Waldshut-Tiengen Germany Germany on Wednesday, August 06, 2014
  • Pros: none
  • Review: I tried to install the software on both of my two computers. The older computer runs with windows XP. Inserting the disks crashes the system immediately. On the second computer which is new (windows 8.1), autorun doesn't start. Starting setup.exe manually doesn't work too. Only the initial setup-screen is shown. If you click on "Install Trainer" or any of the other menues nothing happens. Only "Exit" button works.

Does not work.

  • By A Customer from Arlington VA USA on Tuesday, November 12, 2013
  • Pros: None
  • Review: Will not perform as advertised. Drop down list of help topics is very superficial. Won't switch between the PFD and MFD. Does not come with any written supporting documents. Very frustrating.

hands down, it is a great product

  • By Joey from Dana Point CA USA on Sunday, December 16, 2012
  • Pros: VERY ACCURATE all the buttons are in the correct places and easy directions on how to use
  • Review: It met my expectations and was very accurate and easy to Use. I have learned so much and has really made it easier when I fly The DA-40 that has a G100 in it. I have learned so many new things that has really helped my flying. The G100 has so much to offer and this is a great way to learn it and become very proficient.

  • Review: Helped me learn the G1000 for the DA40 with out paying for hours of A/C rental and instructor costs. Made my check-out in the DA40 easy.

Good Button Practice for G1K on DA40

  • By A Customer from Salt Lake City, UT on Monday, November 29, 2010
  • Pros: Realistic Simulation of G1K on DA40
  • Review: This is a good trainer for pure G1000 work on the DA40. It is NOT a full flight simulator (but does fly) so don't buy it for flight simulation (such as ASA OnTop, MS Flight Sim, etc.). It is perfect to practice getting used to the setup of the buttons, options and sequences of events when flying VFR or IFR procedures and I have used it a lot between flights to either practice new menus/features or keep sharp on the menus.
