G1000 Light

  • By A Customer from Cherry Hills Village CO USA on Thursday, February 09, 2017
  • Pros: None
  • Review: This was a bit disappointing!! it really doesn't do much in the way of providing for training on The G1000!!

Great Money Saver

  • By Michael from Los Angeles CA USA on Thursday, June 25, 2015
  • Pros: Affordable, Works Well
  • Review: This a great simulator to save time on your Hobbs meter! Much better to tweak knobs on your time table than try to get everything to gel in the cockpit under constant pressure. I can't stress that enough.

This isn't a simulator you can actually fly, but it is a great, accurate simulation of the dash of your Cirrus Perspective SR20/22. Create a flight plan. Practice with the autopilot. Learn to navigate though all pages of the MFD. It's all there. I've found it invaluable. And for the price, you can't beat it.

Did not run well on two Windows 8.1 computers

  • By A Customer from Haddonfield NJ USA on Tuesday, June 09, 2015
  • Pros: Good graphics, accurate depiction
  • Review: Product arrived as expected. Appeared to install ok. However, I am not able to run the product and gain any G1000 functionality out of the software package. It either crashes or freezes.

I installed it on an ASUS laptop and on a Dell desktop. Results were identical.

worth it for only 30 bucks

  • By Christopher from Valley Village CA USA on Thursday, February 12, 2015
  • Pros: Good if you are a novice at the G1000
  • Review: It won't turn you into an expert at the G1000 system but it does come in handy to learn where things are and how the menu systems are built.
If you are looking for cursory introductory familiarization, this is worth the low price.

Perfect for my needs

  • By Jocelyn from Brantford ON Canada on Wednesday, January 07, 2015
  • Pros:
  • Review: I just wanted to do approaches and it does just that

excellent tool for self-study

  • By Olasek from Oakland, CA on Sunday, December 07, 2014
  • Pros: excellent way to play and practice with G1000
  • Review: Excellent rendition of all G1000 features delivered to your PC. But it doesn't "teach" you anything, the same as real cockpit doesn't teach you. You need another material, for example Max Trescott great G1000 book to guide through all the features. But at some point before your fly the real thing you will need this trainer to verify that you know how to operate this package.

Useless

  • By A Customer from Sun Valley CA USA on Monday, July 08, 2013
  • Pros: None
  • Review: It doesn't run well, and provides nothing, no assistance, I can't figure out how to put in my local information.
I'd send it back and ask for my money back but I had to download it to find out it's useless.

How does one progress through the checklists, for instance?
Flew the plane yesterday, still using paper checklists.
