The MA-1 bomber jacket (also known as the MA-1 flight jacket) was first
developed in the mid 1950s. The MA-1 and its predecessor, the B-15 Flight
Jacket, were needed at that time because the emergence of the jet age created
new requirements for pilot performance, safety and comfort.
This is a well made reproduction of the famous MA-1 green nylon quilted
jacket in children sizes that all future aviators will wear will pride!

Before I order this jacket, I need to know if it will fit. My grandson's arm length is 24" L, measure around chest is 24" I was thinking a size 8, he's a small guy. What about warmth, they will be wearing this for church, and maybe school.
A:
Generally, a boys jacket size 6 is for 41-46" tall and 24-25" chest. Size 8 is usually for kids 47-50" tall with a 26.5" chest. A physical measurement of the size 8 jacket has revealed that it has a sleeve length of exactly 24" (measured by placing one end of the tape measure at the middle of the back of your neck; go across the shoulder, and down your arm to the cuff).
