ReliefBand Explorer - Motion Sickness Protection

The ReliefBand(R) Explorer device is a watch-like device worn on the ventral side of the wrist for use in the treatment of nausea and vomiting due to pregnancy, postoperative nausea, chemotherapy, and motion sickness. When activated, the device emits a low-level electrical current across two small electrodes on its underside. The ReliefBand(R) device is the first patented, commercially available Nausea-Vomiting device to reach the clinical marketplace.

Now with the ReliefBand(R) device, you have more opportunity to enjoy flying, boating, amusement park rides and other types of travel and entertainment without having motion sickness spoil your good time.

The non-prescription ReliefBand(R) device is unlike anything else sold for motion sickness. It offers numerous advantages. First, it is Drug Free. Because it is not a drug, you won't have the headache, drowsiness, dizziness or other side effects typical of most medicinal remedies on the market. Also, instead of having to take something several hours ahead of time, the ReliefBand can be used any time, even after nausea symptoms start.  Second, there are no restrictions on consumption of food, beverages or medications with the use of ReliefBand.  And finally, unlike medicines, pressure bands, and other passive remedies, with the ReliefBand device you control the level and duration of relief. You can actually feel it helping to control your motion sickness.

Worn like a bracelet or a watch, the ReliefBand device uses gentle electrical signals to stimulate a specific nerve in the underside of the wrist. There are five levels of stimulation; adjust the dial to the highest level that feels comfortable.  By stimulating the body's nervous system in this fashion, the ReliefBand can be used to relieve the nausea and vomiting symptoms associated with motion sickness.

Features:

  • Rotary dial adjusts output to one of five power settings.
  • Light indicates operation and low battery condition.

Do not use if wearing cardiac pacemaker.

The unlimited use Reusable ReliefBand operates for approximately 140 hours at power level 2 before you need to change the batteries.  Then it's just a matter of picking up two 3V lithium batteries (CR2025) at your local drug store or where camera batteries are sold.  The Reusable unit ensures that protection from motion sickness is always as close as your flight bag.

Batteries and conductivity gel included.

Definite buy
by David from Mt Pleasant SC USA

Pros: Light, long lasting batteries, not uncomfortable to use while sleeping
Cons: Sometimes hard to "find" exact location to hit the proper nerve to be effective for nausia but not terribly so
Review: Having been a long time ocean cruiser for many years I have seen and tried every gadget and medication available. Many of the medicatios worked ok, but most had side effects such as drowsiness, dry mouth, etc. None of the pressure point wrist bands or other devices ever gave me relief in significant sea conditions - until the Relief Band Explorer. Having used it on a 1600 mile Atlantic passage to Bermuda and back to the US is worked perfectly in sea conditions as big as 20 feet. One other crew person who always got seasick used it and it provided the same relief for her as well. I think this is the best product out there by far and have started giving them to any guest who has a tendancy to get seasick.

caveat emptor
by Karin from Mansfield OH

Review: Be very careful - this item comes with an inflexible 10 day return policy. It didn't work for me and now I have a $129. clunky wrist bauble.

This Thing Really Works
by C Keeton777 from Elberta AL USA

Pros: Will alleviate motion sickness after its onset
Cons: High setting my be, not painful, but disconcerting
Review: Two guests aboard my 35' Carver became ill while at anchor waiting for a Blue Angels show. I gave them my Relief Band which they shared 10 minutes on/off. Both were fine. I recently let two fellow passengers aboard a 300' sailing ship use it. One got immediate relief and subsequent prevention but the other's recovery took nearly a day. I did not ask him about what setting he used.

Vacation saver!
by A Customer from Castro Valley CA USA

Pros: Easy to use. Works!
Cons: Design is clunky-looking, and strap is cheap. Should be redesigned.
Review: I started getting motion sickness when traveling in our SUV and had been taking over-the-counter medication, which tended to make me sleepy but kept me from being queasy. Then I found out about the ReliefBand, and it changed my life. Now I just strap on the band and I'm good to go anywhere. Have also used it on cruises and it works perfectly!

Not working for me
by Sandra from Melbourne FL USA

Pros: Works as advertised and is simple
Cons: Didn't work for me on the open seas. Is a little clunky
Review: This is my second one as my first corroded so I will take better care of this one. However it did not prevent my sea sickness on this last cruise! Not sure why, but I know I am a tough case. Never had problems before using the watch which I use on all air flights.

I would buy this product again if I needed a spare one.
by James B. from Huntington Beach CA USA

Cons: I wasn't totally impressed with the flexible band
Review: I used the relief band on my recent trip to Hawaii and it worked as advertised. This is a great product for anyone that has motion sickness.

An assist.
by A Customer from Cincinnati OH USA

Pros: A definite assist.
Cons: The hand feels shocky, and if placed on the wrong part of the wrist, skin abrasions result.
Review: Although I am not a pilot and have only used this product for land-based motion sickness, I have had some success. Rather than the severe motions sickness I often experience, the effect is much lessened by the band. I have found, however, that the gel goes much faster than the website specified so I have had to order more.

I will buy again!
by A Customer from Alamosa CO USA

Pros: Everything! It works just like it says!
Cons: Very big and bulky. Would like to see more colors and sizes
Review: I absolutely loved this reliefband. It worked well for me on both our cruise and our flight. When I would start to feel alittle more queasy, I would increase the pulse and it worked great! I am buying another one for my daughter who tends to get motion sickness. Highly recommend if you don't want to take medications.

The best $129 you could spend
by Brenda from Kaukauna, WI

Pros: Easy to use, effective
Review: I went on a 7-day cruise, and was worried that I would have motion sickness, as I can get sick sitting in the passenger seat of a car! We had a "rolly" day at sea, so I turned the watch to setting #2, and never once felt sick at all. I didn't take any other pills, just used the watch. While others around me didn't feel well, I was fine. I would highly recommend this to others.

Relief Band
by Marlene from Waunakee WI USA

Pros: It's a life saver-I now own 4
Cons: your wrist gets a little soar after hrs of use, but better then being sick
Review: I bought the relief band to go deep sea fishing... I have tried everything!!! Nothing has ever worked...I even gave it to 2 of my brothers and it worked for them, they have since purchased them... It's a life saver, if you've ever gotten sea sick, I also use it in airplanes when needed.... The captain of the boat we rent, also keeps one on hand, he told us there were 3 girls and they had to keep trading it off and on to each other... If You've ever gotten sea sick ...try this!!!

motion of the ocean reliever
by John from Tyler TX USA

Pros: controlled the sea sick "irk" feeling
Cons: looks like a big ugly watch
Review: Just returned from a cruise in the Gulf of Mexico where there were very ruff waters and the relief band saved my life. It controlled the queezy feeling, and I could enjoy the trip.

Prevented motion sickness on cruise
by Jane from Chelsea MI USA

Review: My 17 yo daughter had significant motion sickness on our last cruise. I purchased relief band for her and she used it last week on a caribbean cruise - excellent results - no complaints - easy to use and effective. I purchased one for myself and never felt the need to use it as I thought the seas were fairly calm.

Here's the proof you need
by John Hefty from Las Vegas, NV

Pros: it works
Cons: You get sick if you take it off. That's becaus it works. Test it yourself.
Review: I was fishing off shore near Pensacola, Florida a few years back and I had the unit with me in case the waves picked up as I am prone to sickness. I put the band on. I was fine, people were starting to get sick. This was a large charter boat. A friend was getting sick and since I was feeling ok, I took the band off and gave it to him after he fed the fish overboard. He took the band, put it on, and went inside and fell asleep on a bench for an hour or so. But, then I got sick. Having no choice, I quietly took back the device off the sleeping friend's arm(he didn't look sick and I was) and in short order, I was back fishing again. That was my proof that it worked but that's not all. My friend woke up a short time later and came to the rail and fed the fish again. I felt very bad for him but I was not about to give up the wrist band because the seas were heavy and I needed that band to keep my sanity. Was I too selfish? I now own two.

Prevent Motion-sickness Without Drugs!
by Julanne from Birmingham AL USA

Pros: It eliminates motion-sickness.
Cons: There is really no downside to this. You just have to use the lubricant that comes with it.
Review: I have been a ReliefBand user for about 10 years. This is the third one I have had ( I lost the other two.) When using this product, I can even read and ride in the back seat without getting sick. I just can't recommend it enough. It met all my expectations.

I highly recommend this product for motion sickness
by A Customer from Brooklyn Park MN USA

Pros: Works as intended
Cons: Shock is quite as strong and can be a nuissance
Review: I get motion sickness very easily and in the past would have never been able to be on any boat ride or even in the back of the car without staring straight ahead. However with this product I was able to go on a sunset cruise in Cabo, MX. With the ReliefBand, I did not feel the waves at all! Though, the shock is quite strong (on level 2) and you can really feel it all of the time, it was worth it being able to go out into the sea on the boat and not get sick.

Couldn't live without it!!!!
by A Customer from North Haledon NJ USA

Pros: It really took away the vomiting -- wouldn't be without it.
Cons: The cover to the battery area does not always stay closed.
Review: Purchased the product for my mom who was going for surgery. I already had one -- and my mom used it the last time she had surgery -- and she was not sick from the medications at all with the band. Works the same for me. I used to have unbeliveable dizzy episodes which made me very sick to my stomach -- then I got the band. It didn't get rid of the dizzy episodes, but it did take away the sickness. It works like a miracle!!

This Watch is wonderful
by A Customer from San Jose CA USA

Pros: It works!!!
Cons: It is hard to put on by yourself and you need to hold your hand still in order for it to work. Also it is not waterproof or attractive.
Review: I have the worse motion sickness of anyone I have ever met. This watch is the only product that I have used that has worked. I wore it on my India trip on a boat, countless hours of riding on curvy roads and even rafting. It never let me down.

Have no Doubt this band works I suffer from major inner ear problems
by Jo from Iowa

Pros: No more drugs to travel
Review: I bought a relief band in February of 2005. We travel quiet often and always i would have to drug myself up in order to travel to the point that I was almost overdosing. We had traveled in January and when i got home i knew after being sick for two weeks trying to get over the effects of the drugs, I had to do something different. I purchased one of the Relief Bands and tried it on a trip in February of the same year. I am one of those people, no matter what I do, it can cause my head to go off, and I become very dizzy for a week at a time, before I can get back to normal, with the Relief band I can't began to tell you how thrilled I am to finally find a way to travel and do things with out getting sick and without drugging up to go. We travel to England several times and even with the long flight, I have no problems, it the flight gets a bit rough, I just punch it up to a higher level, I can sit in the back of a bus and get a long. I have even gone so far as when I am around home and have done something to set my head off where i get dizzy, I put the band on and go lay down and take a nap with it on. It actually makes me feel so much better when I wake up, and for me that is unreal, I am telling you, you can not go wrong by getting one of these and trying it, you will be glad you did, I know I am and I will never travel anywhere without it with me, something so simple, only wish I had invented them. Try it!!

Not in all Conditions
by Deborah from Hammond NY USA

Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Not effective (for me) in all conditions
Review: I used this product on an overseas plane flight and felt better upon arrival than I ever had. We proceeded to a cruise to Antartica where the open sea passage is reputedly very rough. Under these conditions, the band did not work for me and I had to revert to medication.I hate the side-effects of the medications so was really hoping for better results. I admit, however, that I put it to an extreme test!

The best $129 I've EVER spent.
by Darlene from Jacksonville, FL

Pros: It just works...exactly like they say it does.
Review: I have chronic problems with motion sickness on airplanes, in the back seat of a car and on a boat. The side effects of over the counter and even prescription motion sickness medication were almost as bad as the nausea. I literally couldn't function for a full day after taking Bonine and the Transdermscop patch was worse. This product is easy to use and worked exactly as described. What a lifesaver!

Now I can even read while traveling in a car! It is a miracle...
by MS Marcy from Wallingford, CT

Pros: Works well and with ease.
Cons: My wrist did get burns and blisters from all the shocks initially, but worth it.
Review: I love to scuba, but it hurt to get sick on the boat and "feed the fish before each dive". Then I heard about the relief band, purchased one, and began to wear it. It worked every time. (I do remember hoping the fish had another reliable food source.) After a few years the relief band disappeared. Amazingly, I found out I could go out on any boat or ride as passenger in any car without getting sick. A true miracle since I had been sick in cars and on boats for my entire life. I even discovered I could read in the car and not get sick!

Think again
by A Customer from Topeka KS USA

Pros: I didn't get seasick
Cons: Expensive, more annoying than the patch & can't prove it worked
Review: I recommend the transderm patch over the relief band. I crossed the Drake and most people were using the patch. And it worked. I was the only one that I was aware of that even brought a relief band. The patch is proven to work for most. Why spend the extra money on the relief band unless you have tried the patch and it didn't work for you.

Its a great product worth spending the money it really works amazing!!!
by Claudia from Austin TX USA

Pros: None
Cons: Takes care of motion sickness
Review: I suffer from severe motion sickness and with this watch I can be in the back of a car and windy roads, and enjoy the panorama. Its a great product

So far, so good.
by Robin from Cabot AR USA

Pros: Easy to use.
Cons: None.
Review: This product helped when I recently had nausea from a stomach virus. I haven't gotten to try it for motion sickness yet.

Monday, January 19, 2009
by A Customer from Rancho Santa Fe CA USA
Pros: It worked fantastically for me when adjusted properly.
Cons: Be patient as it can be difficult to adjust properly on wrist.
Review: Worked amazingly well (almost like a "light switch") when adjusted properly on my wrist. Motion sickness symptoms disappeared completely and did not re-appear so long as the WristBand continued to function. Placement of ReliefBand was extremely sensitive to its position on my wrist. I had to hold it on my wrist and move it around very carefully until I felt the stimulation. I then had to hold it in place while I tightened the band. This is easier said then done. Also, even when adjusted in this manner, the ReliefBand's operation was extremely sensitive to the position of my arm and/or hand. Finally, after extended use (several days straight) the ReliefBand caused irritation on my wrist in the spot where the stiumulation was taking place.

It actually works!!!
by Nancy Taylor from Bonita Springs FL USA

Pros: IT WORKED!!!
Cons: I forgot to use the gel one day and got a small sore on my wrist
Review: I have suffered from Vertigo for a number of years and have declined all cruise trips my family was going on. This past December I agreed to go on a 14 day cruise through the Panama Canal with my 92 year old mother and was sure I would be sick for at least half of the trip. A friend suggested the relief band and I bought it....IT WORKED...I WAS NEVER SICK ON THE TRIP...while others were. THank you for such a great product....I only wished I had heard of it earlier.

It works but not for nausia caused by migranes
by James from Kansas City MO USA

Pros: Works, and easy to use.
Cons: Slightly difficult to put on and get tight enough to find the right spot for the contact point. I had to help her everytime to put it on as she had problems getting it on and tight enough.
Review: I bought this for my pregnant wife as she was nausious and throwing up every day all day. She is plagued with a history of migranes which can progress to nausia and throwing up. While pregnant she has had a migrane every third day. The watch worked if the nausia was from the prenancy but when the nausia was from a migrane it didn't work. This is a good product as it does work as it was intended however due to the nature of migranes it can't help for nausia caused from migranes which is not the watche's fault. My wife likes the watch and wants to keep it to use for her pregnacy and future pregnacy. It was funny to watch as the pulses would cause her middle two fingers to curl. She is petite so she kept the pulses low 3 or below.

An Absolute God Send
by The Hat Lady of Charleston from Charleston SC USA

Pros: It delivers everything it promises.
Cons: None
Review: This product is an absolute God send to anyone prone to motion sickness. I have worn it under the most trying situations (e.g. the winding roads of China; the turbulence on an airplane I thought would crash), and it worked. It has even enabled me to be part of a Dragon Boat Team. I could not recommend a product more highly.

Unbelievable - it really works!!
by Sue Parker from Salinas CA USA

Pros: Total relief from nausea. I count on that band and don't even attempt to fly without.
Cons: None
Review: I have had motion sickness since I was little, 5 years old. I have never been able to go to the amusement park without nausea, I have worked in commercial fishing and known that my destiny was to get sick multiple times but because I enjoyed what I did, I suffered through the sickness. I wanted to learn to fly but after hitting some turbulence, my old friend, nausea, returned. In desperation I had heard about the ReliefBand from someone who purchased it for his spouse when she was pregnant, I immediately ordered it and had it next day aired to me. I now have a life with motion; not motion sickness!!!!!

Works Great
by Michael from Calhoun GA USA

Pros: Works great
Cons: needs constant adjusting with even moderate activity
Review: Takes only a few minutes to get used to and become confident that it works. Occasionally needs to be adjusted but you quickly become used to it. In fact, when it does stop working, you notice it quickly and adjust it.

25 Years Too Late for This Former Flight Instructor
by Larry from Mobile AL USA

Pros: Easy to use; put it on and forget it; easy to position on wrist
Cons: Not waterproof which is not good for a fisherman
Review: Because of inner ear problems I had to be very careful with some of my training maneuvers many years ago when I was an active flight instructor. The ReliefBand Explorer does eliminate the motion sickness now when I go fishing on rough seas so I believe it would have solved, or greatly reduced my motion sickness problems when I was a flight instructor - too bad it was not available then because I did enjoy flight instruction. The band is easy to use and I never went higher than a #3 setting. Since I was fishing and my wrist was flexing a lot, the position of the band had a tendency to shift a little. I probably could have tightened the band a little and this would have reduced that problem, but it did not seem to reduce its effectiveness. I could just feel the difference in the amount of stimulus, but as I said, it did not seem to reduce its benefits.

Absolutely works!
by A Customer from Westminster CO USA

Pros: Batteries last a long time and are easily available (about $4 each) wherever watch batteries are sold.
Cons: Wrist band a bit bulky and looks like a man's sport watch.
Review: This wrist band totally worked for seasickness, even when other people were getting seasick! The highest level I have used is level 3, but it goes up to level 5. I used it for a weeklong cruise as well as a small-boat whale-watching excursion (very choppy seas) and felt fine the whole time. It also works for air-sickness as well. I loaned it to my sister and it worked great for her as well. My sister-in-law and several people in her family have used it as well - all with success! I am so glad I can cruise without any fear of seasickness! I did experience some skin irritation when I used the gel, and had to switch wrists, but it was a minor inconvenience. A fully-stretch band would be nice, as would a less "outdoorsy" look since I wore it to dress-up dinners on the cruise. But as long as it works that is what really matters. Over a 1-week period (I did not use it only when I was sleeping at night) I only changed the batteries once (not becuase it said I needed to, but just to be sure for the excursion). The little closure on the battery compartment is a bit tricky to make sure it is fully closed. It will pop open if you don't close it entirely.

It works. Other wrist bands did not.
by Donald from Mendocino CA USA

Pros: I repeat, it works better than other devices.
Cons: None of significance.
Review: We live in a small town with 68 miles of very winding mountain roads in and out. A beautiful but over two hour drive. My wife is very suseptable to motion sickness and the ReliefBand is the best help she has found.

Works great!!
by A Customer from Ellicott City MD USA

Review: I used this on my first cruise and was very pleasantly surprised. I have always suffered from motion sickness and this really helped. Also, I was very pleased with the delivery process -- I had it in 2 days of ordering it. Thanks so much.

I Absolutely Recommend This Product!
by Lucy from Aspen CO USA

Pros: It works! Not bulky and easy to drop in your purse or pocket.
Cons: I think it's ugly. The zapping takes a bit getting used to.
Review: A friend first lent me this product when I was visiting her in Maui, HI to drive a few hours along a very windy road. I get motion sick at a drop of a hat and was thrilled that I was able to enjoy the ride and take in the scenery with a minimal of discomfort. I only kept the setting at 3 and probably could have gotten completely rid of any dizziness at a higher setting. She also lent it to me for a trip to Africa and I suffered no motion sickness on the small bush planes I took nor on the extremely bumpy roads. I have since purchased one for myself and one for my sister.

Post-operative nausea? Not with this!
by Cathy, Medical Technologist from Grand Rapids, MI

Pros: It works!! It works!! It works!!
Cons: I can't think of anything. It works!!
Review: I have an awful time with post-op nausea & vomiting. When I had my Achilles tendon re-attached, I warned them about my reaction to anesthesia. The nurses recommended this and I thought it was 'hokey.' But I was willing to try anything. IT WORKED! Recovery is bad enough without puking all the time. This device is terrific. Now, we're living in another part of the country and I'm facing shoulder surgery. My doctor's never heard of this. I dug up mine from 3 years ago - and it still works! I used it two nights ago with nausea from a migraine. New batteries should assure me an easier recovery and perhaps a new device for this doctor to offer. I can't thank you enough!

I highly recommend this for anyone who has motion sickness!
by Tina from Ripley WV USA

Pros: Takes away the motion sickness!
Cons: Isn't very fashionable :)
Review: The bracelet has helped my motion sickness in vehicles, airplanes, etc. so that I can travel without feeling terrible! It has the different adjustments so that you can find the pulse that is right for you.

Best none-drug option for motion sickness
by Jeff from New Richmond WI USA

Pros: A small package that provides wonderful control of motion sickness
Cons: Continued use over many hours temporarily numbed my ring and middle finger nerves. You need to take breaks over extended uses like on a cruise ship.
Review: The Reliefband Explorer works very well in controlling motion sickness distress. The choice of electrical signal intensities allows you to use the level that makes you feel better without over doing electrical stimulation of the middle and ring finger nerves. The relief is immediate when turned on. No need to feel droggy with motion sickness drugs(been there, done that). The batteries are longed lived for the unit. I used the used the reliefband for a 17 day cruise on the Black, Norwegian, and Berentz seas at least a quarter of the time and never had to change the batteries. I'm sure it would work well in a flight cockpit or passenger cabin as well. I whole heartly recommend this product.

This is NOT a gimmick!
by Nancy from Stow MA USA

Pros: Immediate relief
Cons: It's not "pretty"
Review: This Relief Band was bought as a gift. I borrowed one from a friend years ago, because I didn't believe it could work I wasn't going to spend the money. I was able to go on a 2 hour helicopter flight in Hawaii and ENJOY the entire ride. (My husband, who is a pilot, was feeling sick after the first hour.) I've tried everything else on the market for motion sickness. This REALLY works!

Definitely works, a little high-maintenance
by Barclay from Clifton NJ USA

Pros: Works as described, with attention to use
Cons: Hard to set in correct place on wrist, requires attention while using
Review: I was unable to take the bus to work due to motion sickness, and with this product I have no motion sickness and can now take the bus. It definitely works and I do recommend it. My only caveat, and the reason I say 4 stars instead of 5, is that it is sometimes hard to get the thing positioned exactly over the correct nerve, and I have to hold my wrist bent backwards to get enough of an effect from the device. So it's not exactly "set it and forget it," but it works well enough that it's solved my transit problems.

It REALLY works!
by Christian, Student Pilot from Chicago, IL

Pros: It really does work. It took away all nausa and all motion discomforct. Battery lasts 150 + hours. Comfortable.
Cons: None
Review: I am not joking when I say I NEVER get motion sickness. In a car, a jumbo jet, a boat, anything; it has never happened. About two months ago I started my pilot training in a Cessna 172 and to my dissappointment I had pretty bad motion discomfort. I never threw-up, but was pretty close. This discouraged me terribly, I didn't want to continue my training even though I wanted to be a pilot. I found this product and was pretty skeptical about the results that it said it could give me. Since I already had invested a lot of money into flying, I decided to purchase this product. To my amazement, the first time I used it it worked perfectly. It didn't feel sick at ALL. I didn't even think about feeling sick, it never entered my mind. I don't use it as much now because my body has gotten used to being in a small plane, but will always carry it with me for new passangers. This product does what it says, it takes away ALL nausea and all other symptoms of motion discomfort. If it wasn't for this product I probably would not have continued my pilot training. Seriously consider this product, 120 dollars is not a small amount of money, but is worth it, in my opinion, if it allows you to do things that you normally wouldn't be able to do because of motion sickness.

Amazing little device
by Connie from Allen TX USA

Review: I was really skeptical, but given my level of motion sickness and the fact that my doctor REALLY did not want me to use the patch I gave The Relief Band a try. On a 7 day cruise I only had to take one Dramamine and that was coming out of Grand Cayman on a night when there were a lot of green people onboard the Carnival Conquest. The Relief Band is very effective and I will use it next year in Alaska. It would be nice if it was smaller, it overwhelms my wrist. However, I did talk to a lot people who had never heard of such a thing. I told all of them to Google Releif Band. Thank you for giving a very enjoyable cruise.

I would buy it for everyone if I could!
by A Customer from Marathon, FL Keys

Pros: It works!
Cons: Made my wrist itch, but not bad enough not to use it.
Review: I had signed up and paid for a fishing Tournament - and the day of the wind picked up, we were going about 15 miles out. Sky then water, sky then water - all you could see. I had the relief band set on 2, got nervous and moved it to 3. Never felt a twinge of seasickness, and I almost always feel sick when it's windy. Two men with us did get sick. And! We won part of the tournament!

Immediate Relief
by Jackie from Pensacola FL USA

Pros: Fast acting
Cons: No carrying case
Review: My charter boat captain put his ReliefBand on my arm while I was getting sick over the side of the boat and it worked immediately. I felt great and continued my fishing trip with no problems. I got home and ordered one for myself.

I would buy this product again
by Mark from Galt CA USA

Pros: fast acting and very effective
Cons: may cause rashes at the contact site
Review: I purchased the product for my wife. She was having severe morning sickness during her pregnancy. Within two hours of wearing the relief band her nausea was gone. The only down side of the product was after about three weeks of use (not constant) she developed a rash at the site of the contacts. The device was moved to the other wrist.

It's worth every penny!!
by Debbie from Newbury Park, CA

Pros: IT WORKS!
Cons: Its not pretty.
Review: I always get seasick and many times car sick & queasy on amusement rides. This is the BEST gift my husband bought me. We went to Kauai to get certified in scuba and the final dives were boat dives (I sometimes "forget" I get seasick on a boats). I wore the relief band (which I hadnt used yet)on the dive boat and it was AMAZING! People all around me were feeling sick while waiting on the rocking boat to dive BUT I was perfectly FINE!! It has worked on car rides as well. It will give you your life back and the pulsating is not that bothersome to me, I got use to it and didnt even notice it after awhile.

Pros: High hopes!
Cons: None yet
Review: I am rating this 5 stars as I have very high hopes for this product. I am going on a short Carnival Cruse in October, so have not actually tried it yet. I tend to get seasick even in the bathtub, so the reason for my high hopes. Will only be on the ship for 4 days this time out as If this works, I will be able to go again for a longer trip. Will tell you that my grandaughter used this product following a surgery for nausea and it worked for her! I do thank you in advance for offering this product!

I tell everyone who suffers from motion sickness that this is the cure
by JILL from GARDENA CA USA

Pros: No side effects
Review: I have used this product for the past 5 years. It works for planes, trains, buses, subways and cars. I highly recommend it to anyone who suffers from motion sickness. I have traveled with others who were wearing the patch or on the over the counter medications and was the only one of the group who did not get sick.

Pros: No waiting for it to take effect.
Cons: none that we know of
Review: This works the best for motion sickness and nausea of any kind. There is no wait and while a lot of remedies do not work once the nausea starts, this will instantly take it way. My whole family likes it and uses it on car trips, boat trips and of course in airplanes.

It Works!!!
by Lucy from Aspen CO USA

Pros: Nothing to swallow. Easy to transport. Use over and over again. No drowsiness.
Cons: Not attractive looking. Zapping takes awhile to get used to. It isn't water resisant - wish I could use it while kayaking and such.
Review: It's the only thing that ameliorates my motion sickness in a highly efffective manner without causing drowsiness. I recommend it to everyone. I just wish it came in a more attractive style... Also, it would be perfect if it would be waterproof...

Love this product. This is my second. I loaned one out and the borrower liked it so much she kept it.
by Lola from Fresno CA USA

Pros: Convenient. Portable. Works
Cons: Need carrying case for this. First one I purchased had nice zippered carrying case, Price is significantly more, than the first one I purchased, and didn't have a carrying case
Review: This is effective for me, even if I haver already developed nausea. Have used it on cruise with 40 foot swells. It was fabulous. Also use it in busses, and auto rides in the mountains. Best thing, is there is no "hang over" when the aparatus is not longer required--as with ingested or topical products.

Works great
by Jim from Greer SC USA

Review: Would have rated it higher except the shock is annoying. Better than motion sickness to me but could see where others might not think it is worth the pain.

by Maria Mackie from Davie, Florida
Pros: The Reliefband is lightweight, totally adjustable and it WORKS!
Cons: I cannot think of one negative regarding this product and hope to never be without it!
Review: The Reliefband is the most effective product I have ever used for motion sickeness! It was first introduced to me by an anesthesia doctor about 5 years ago. He used one for sea sickness and prescribed for me to use directly after having had surgery as the anesthesia sometimes can cause lingering nausea in some patients. Since then I have used one EVERY TIME I fly and it has prevented vomiting and nausea each and every time. I used to get nausea just visiting the airport due to breathing the heavy exhause fumes in the area. Not anymore! In fact about three weeks ago I was experiencing intermittal nausea while at home and couldn't understand why. After the first day and after trying over the counter meds I decided to try the reliefband and within 20 minutes the nausea was gone. I removed the band and 1 hour later nausea was back. I again used the reliefband and the nausea disappeared. The next day, I was completely fine. I thoroughly believe in the product and am sorry I didn't have knowledge of it while on chemotherapy 6 years ago! I would recommend it to anyone with stomach discomfort and whats more, it doesn't produce any side effects! Thank you for carrying the product and making it so easy to purchase!

Bye, bye Dramamine
by Michele from Pompano Beach FL USA

Pros: IT WORKS - NO QUEASINESS
Cons: NEED TO GET USED TO THE LITTLE ZAPS - MASCULINE LOOKING
Review: The older I get the more I suffer from motion sickness - driving on winding roads, in a pool too long, funky ways of filming movies or even poorly made home videos all make me queasy. I was going on a flyfishing trip (on a boat, drifting - makes me ill to think of it) and did not want to ruin it for me or anyone else. Ordered the ReliefBand; it came in very quickly, was just as portrayed. I wore it under my jacket as I didn't want anyone to know - it gives you a nice little buzz on the wrist every few seconds - but you do forget about it after a while; it was amazing; I never even thought of getting queasy. IT WORKS!!! After coming in and taking it off, later that evening, in the shower I did feel a little rocking motion as if I was still on the boat - but no nausea. I have recommended to my son who gets queasy at sea - EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!

Worked for me.
by Stanley from Hillsboro MO USA

Pros: drug free resolution of nausea
Cons: mild shicking sensation
Review: This has been used by myself before while flying and found to work for me. The recent purchase was for my wife for a cruise. She did not need the device, but while in 15 foot seas it functioned fine for me. The only drawback is accepting the mild shocking sensation. I found that even if the nausea has begun that this product will reverse the effect.

I liked it so much I am buying this product for my husband
by A Customer from Tucson AZ USA

Review: High expectations and they met them all. Easy to use, instructions clear - good to go in 15 minutes! Easy to discern level of stimulations, easy to apply, with good "guidelines" for personal settings. Lightweight, easily stored, can wait to assess the situation as to when to turn it on, unlike OTC medication Much better than pharmaceutical alternatives for motion sickness. Would like better battery life, but carrying extras not a big thing.

Good product
by Carolyn from NJ

Pros: Works without drowsiness of drugs, easy to use
Cons: not as strong as dramamine, annoying zapping feeling
Review: I have suffered from motion sickness all my life---in cars, boats, planes, etc. I bought this in desperation for a trip overseas and it really helped. I tried the Scopolomine patch and it gave me horrible side effects after 2 days. The seaband did nothing. The ReliefBand has the annoying electrical "zapping" sensation, but it beats the alternative. great for short trips, etc. but if you think you will be on a turbulent plane or boat, back up with some Dramamine, as well. BTW, KY jelly works just as well as the conducting fluid.

I'm in love !
by A Customer from Coal City, WV

Pros: It works
Cons: none
Review: I have been plagued with motion sickness since I had my children. Living in WV, I am forced to travel curvy, winding roads. This product is WONDERFUL. I look forward to feeling the "buzz"--I know it's working. Great Product!

WOW
by Sue - Maui Dive Shop employee from Kihei, Hawaii

Pros: No more motionsicknesss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cons: Some people don't care for the "shock" feel
Review: I have not used the new band yet but have owned two of the older models for quite a few years. I never enjoyed going on boats or in car rides because I felt so miserable. The first time I wore one, was on a boat. I left the boat smiling, leaving everyone wondering why. I now dive off boats at least three times a week. I bring along my extra one to give to people that get sick on the boat. Everyone is always amazed at how their sickness goes away immediately. I have not found one person yet that it has not helped. Definitely worth the money!

A: One band is all that is necessary for the ReliefBand to work, and the manufacturer advises against using more than one band.

On Wednesday, March 25, 2009 a customer asked:
Q:
How long does the watch last, how many sails does it last? How many times can I use the Relief Band?
A: The battery will operate for about 140 hours at the level 2 setting, and one tube of the conductivity gel is good for about 60-75 applications. We are unable to say exactly how many times you would be able to use the band outside of these numbers.

On Wednesday, December 31, 2008 a customer asked:

On Friday, April 18, 2008 a customer asked:
Q:
Is the relief band waterproof?
A: The ReliefBand Device is not waterproof; however, it is splash resistant. This means that it should continue to perform in most cases of splash contact with water. It should not be submerged or subjected to long periods of continual exposure to water.

On Monday, March 10, 2008 a customer asked:
