The Type A-2 leather flight jacket is one of the most classic and immediately recognizable articles of military clothing ever designed. It is most closely associated with World War II U.S. Army fighter pilots, who often decorated their jackets with squadron patches and elaborate artwork painted on the back.

This jacket is made from 100% antique lamb and includes, authentic A-2 vintage "Joltin Josie" Pin-up girl art screen printed on back and Cockpit bartab with the luxurious embroidered cockpit lining featuring pilots map and other period memorabilia.

With classic A-2 styling and a 100% antique lamb outer shell this jacket features:

Top and side entry front pockets
A hidden pen pocket
Underarm grommets for ventilation
Knit cuffs and waistband
Full zipper front under a wind flap
Two inside chest pockets
Snap down collar and leather epaulets with an all season poly fiber filling.

I've had mine for 22 years!

Pros: As stated above.
Cons: This manufacturer should have left off the erroneous cockpit decals.
Review: I bought my Joltin' Josie jacket from a leather-goods store in Iowa in 1986. It's the same jacket. Obviously it wears like iron. The thing is incredibly warm, stylish and always turns heads wherever I go. The only thing I have ever had to do to it for maintenance was to wipe it with mink oil about every 5 years and I replaced the zipper when it was 20 years old. By the way, the original Joltin' Josie was a B-29 Superfortress bomber which was lost over Germany in 1944. It was not a "Lightning" as stated in this ad.

Wow! What a Great Jacket!

Review: When I ordered this jacket, I was just expecting the average leather imitation B-2 jacket. But when I received the Cockpits B-2 jacket, the workmanship and quality was the first thing I recognized. This jacket met all my expectations and more. Price was kind of steep, but nevertheless, a great buy.

Review: My wife recently purcahsed from you an A2 flying jacket (with Joltin' Josie artwork on the back) for my birthday present. I am just writing to say what a great jacket it is. The quality of the jacket and the artwork is really fantastic. I've certainly not found a product of similar quality in Great Britain. I'm sure I'm going to get a lot of people asking me where I got it from. Also MyPilotStore.com was very competitive on the price of the jacket, much better than all of your internet competitors in the USA.
